We've got Deluxe APs but we're out of DVC points! A year of Disneyland trips- updated 6/27!

She does have a roommate. Keep me posted on your progress. She's needing be to out there and moved in the first week of August. Her transfer date is between 8/1-8/14. Can't wait to find out what store she's being transferred to. :hyper: Where is the apartment located in Long Beach?

It's Olga's old place. Do you know where 4th and Temple is? That's where O'Connell's bar is located. Everyone in Long Beach seems to know O'Connell's. There is a small little street a block south of that intersection. It's a pretty quiet neighborhood. I think the awful neighbors that were living in the building next door have moved out. They weren't there that long, but I haven't seen them the times we have been going back to move stuff out.

I love how Olga had her own place! :lmao: Yes, I know exactly where that is! Let me know what you are thinking ren-twise and date it'll be available. How about a little sweat equity helping to get it ready? ;)

So the Vegas game times just changed. :crazy2: And not for the better. Saturday is still 9:20 and 1:20 but Sunday is now 8 am which is fine but if they make it to the finals, they'll play at 2:40. The kicker is we have to stay and wait to find out if they play until the rest of the teams finish.

In anticipation of our trip in just 4 days, I thought I would post a few more photos from December's trip. It really was so magical. Its so amazing how a love of Disney bonds so many of us.

On the beach with my loves:

Selfie with my girls:

Chicken nachos from WWS:

My beloved:

Autopia. Still one of my favorites!

My first car was a 1966 diesel Mercedes. Love this.

Indy artifacts:

Carsland at night- pure magic!

I was hell bent on getting this Sundae.

Grilling at the Grand :cloud9:

DCA:

Chili cheese dog from Award Wieners. This is Michael's must-have food.

So this is a cute story....the day we grilled (see above pic of the boys) we had to go to Guest Services to get the grilling utensils. The cutest little CM was working; she was so sweet. We chatted for about 10 minutes. She's a student, was working a double shift, etc etc....After we ate and on our way back into the parks, we brought her a plate of dinner. She was so thankful. The next night we arrive back to our villa to this! She also included a hand written note that basically thanked us for our hospitality.

Best Mai Tai ever from the lounge at Club 33:

Ignore the bags under my eyes and just look at our cutie VIP guide Shaun. We all still keep in touch via FB and Instagram. He really is a nice kid.

Thank you all for letting relive this most magical trip!

Your December trip seemed like it was so much fun! I'm glad your trip is so close! I know you need it.

That is surprising to hear that your family doesn't want to park hop. I can understand of not getting park hopping at WDW since you have to go from park to park by car, bus, monorail or boat. But the DLR is a different story where you can park in less than 5 minutes. At least Splash will be up when you are there which is a great ride to ride especially during the hot days.

I agree with the kids, in the past I was a strong proponent of hopping, now DCA is a full day park for us, and now that FPs must be used within the allotted time, I think I'll prefer to stick to one park per day. I realized this during our most recent DLR visit, early July, last year - we hopped then.

Great pictures from December! I hope you enjoy your upcoming holiday.

You know it girl. Can't wait. :hyper: I need to start packing. Michael's bday is tomorrow and his gift still hasn't arrived. :guilty: I hate for him to have to get back as I know he'll wear it on the trip. Both he and Joshua are huge soccer fans, Everton is their favorite. We got him Baines jersey. Joshua has Lukaku. They'll be matching! :lmao:

Yay! I knew there had to be someone out there who didn't love to hop. :worship: We'll see what happens this trip. Should be interesting with Splash closed our fist Disneyland day.

:thanks: Thank you! It was a most magical trip. I still have more pics to share. :flower3:

Today I am working on our packing list.

Your itinerary looks good during your trip.

Those are very nice group shots during your trip in December. I knew that Michael was going to BBQ and that was a great shot from the upper level. I do recall from your past trip reports that he did BBQ.

Excited for you since you are only a few days away till your trip and have a great time.

Thanks Bret! I am honoring Michael's request to not over-schedule us. I tend to try to see everyone and do everything but this trip has to be mellow. Lots of stuff and changes going on in real life. The vacation really needs to be a vacation.

We love to grill at the GCV. :cloud9: Tri-tip for 10, including the sweet CM< would have costs us WAY more than $50 had we eaten in a restaurant. We added Caesar salad and french bread with it. It was one of the best dinners of the trip.

:thanks: I am excited too. I have been fighting off getting sick for about a week now. I took today off to try to feel better. Can't decide if I am run down or have the flu.

Keep in mind Splash has a single rider line, a great way to ride it again, and again.

Great, thank you! I always forget this. This is great news. My kids love to ride over and over especially if they're all wet.

The great thing about having APs and being frequent visitors is that you don't have to over-schedule, because you'll be back, SOON! If you hit the limited-time stuff and everyone's one or two must-haves, it's all good!

I don't park-hop much at DLR (except one-day visits), but I have the PH for a June trip because we are traveling with friends who have APs and want the flexibility.

Great pics from December. We'll be taking after Alison and flying down with tri-tips too.

It makes sense since you will be back there in a few of months. I always try to not over-schedule as well since I have other people that don't go often like us.

That is a great way to save money during the trip. My group doesn't want to cook during the trip in which they want to eat at these different places. Maybe I will have to think about BBQ or cooking one day when I am on a trip.

Hope you get better before the trip.

don't you have some type of girl's trip coming up soon??? I'm so jelly! Have fun!

Hi and :welcome: Hoppers are must when traveling together like that. Our friends got hoppers in December and we didn't. We did separate a little but not much. We didn't buy hoppers for that trip.

Glad to have you here. :)

Alison definitely started a traveling with meat trend. LOL, I don't remember if we brought ours from home or bought it there. I love some home cooking when traveling.

Good for you! We are planning on three tri tips for the grilling night, four chickens and a bunch of brats. That should work for 20 Something people.

Is that for your birthday? party: Check your phone. I text you yesterday. Hope everything is ok. Did you see the cute pic I posted of you and the kids on page 1 of this? Still one of my favorites of the whole trip.

Thanks Bret. I really think I am run down and trying to fight off getting really sick. :(

It does save a bundle. We don't cook a lot on vacation and won't cook at all this next trip. Having a car though allows us to venture out. Do you ever eat Super Mex when you're down there?

We do! I am sooooo excited. I can't believe I can finally pull one off. :woohoo: The dates are just perfect! Can't wait to celebrate Alison's birthday.

Happy Birthday to Michael party: party: party:

Love those pictures from December, such fun!!! Josh looked a little annoyed at the grilling station :)

How sweet of you guys to take that CM a plate of food, and then for her to leave you some goodies! Love that! :)

I have never eaten at Super Mex. I will have to look online at that restaurant and think about it one day. While you are down in SoCal, I would recommend California Fish Grill if you are considering seafood. I know that Alison likes to go to that restaurant and for the price is really good for different kinds of seafood.

:lmao: I didn't notice, does Joshua look crabby? Maybe because I was taking more photos. ;)

The goodies were delicious!

I'll pass along the birthday wishes. Poor guy has a pretty bad cold. I want him to do nothing but rest!

You need to try it. It's so good and so inexpensive! Best tacos I've had outside of Mexico. It's because of the way they fry their tortillas and their red sauce. :cloud9:

Maybe we'll try the California Fish Grill too.

Happy Birthday to Michael! Hope he feels better...nothing worse than being sick on your birthday. I hope you feel better too!

Thanks friend. I am back at work today but only half day. We canceled dinner because he's sick. He says he just wants to watch Big Hero 6.
