Eeeeee, look at my ticker  Can't believe we've actually booked! Thanks to all the lovely advice on here we decided we really couldn't pass up on £348 flights (GLA-EWR-MCO Continental) and have booked 10th - 24th May 2010 :thumbsup2 No accommodation as yet, but there's plenty of time for that :D

I'm so excited I could burst!

Thanks to everyone for their help!

Great news!!!!
Now you can start the planning:goodvibes
Any ideas where you want to stay? onsite offsite?

Oh god don't even start me, Wayne, lol.

We won't have a car so I've been considering doing a 1 week onsite, and 1 week Universal (preferably but don't think we'll be able to afford it)/I Drive.

If I'm honest, not all that interested in staying onsite, just have the feeling as we won't have a car it might work out cheaper in the long run if we do a split-stay. Other than that totally stuck! People have made suggestions before when I've asked (thanks!) which I have written down, just want somewhere that's nice but affordable :)

If onsite doesn't interest you LBV is a good area even without a car, lots of places to eat and drink and many hotel have free transport to the Disney parks.
This one I can highly recommend, stayed there twice now http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/mcobn-courtyard-orlando-lake-buena-vista-at-vista-centre/ For your dates direct with hotel its £69/night incl tax, just seen it on UK site for £34/night

I am sure there will be many offers between now and next May, just shout if you need help finding a better price.

Thanks Wayne! You're definitely the expert round here and I'm always greatful of your replies :)

If we can save enough money then we'd both love to stay at RPR for the 2 weeks, but it's all dependant on money! I will bookmark the link you gave me as well :)

Thanks!

Fantastic news about your trip :) Our tickers are VERY close together! It's all very exciting to see others booking for around that time next year, we've had ours booked since Feburary!

Hope you find some accommodation soon! :yay:

Ohh you'll be heading off and I'll only have a few days to wait :cool1:

My boyfriends thinks I'm mad booking this early (to be honest, we really wouldn't have booked so soon if it wasn't for the bargain flights), and he's already bored of me talking about Orlando every day as I have done since I finally got him to agree to going!

Last year I booked my trip to LA/Mexico/Vegas in January, for November, so it's as long a wait as that BUT it seems so much longer being a different year!

Thats why you come on DISboards to talk about Disney trips, keep him interested and informed but don't bore him, get it out of your system on here:rotfl2:

Thats not early anyway, I have just checked when I booked our August cruise 05 December 2007 11:13pm, date of cruise 22nd August 2009, whats that about 18 months in advance? :goodvibes

Nah, it's not too early to book at all :) Gives you plenty time to pay for everything and get some decent spending money together!

And like Wayne says, I'd keep coming on here to chat about your trip. I think that helped me not to bore my DBF when we were going last year. He'd never been, so me waffling on about everything to him was just going over his head :rotfl:

Exact situation I'm in! He's never been before either so doesn't have a clue what all the fuss is about, lol. I think now I have something set in stone I'll keep it under my hat a bit more, although, today at work I was desperate to tell every other single member of staff "Guess what I booked last night?! Flights to Florida!!!" I contained it to around 4 people, lol.

Awww, I understand what you mean. I'm sure your fella won't mind you talking about it every now and then, I just tried to keep it to a minimum. I was lucky and had my Mum and Dad to waffle too, as they've been, so I could talk about it with them!

I'm sure your colleagues won't mind at all though, you have to tell SOME people, or it wouldn't be as exciting for you! I mean, what more could someone want...a trip to WDW is AMAZING! I love shouting my head off about the fact I'm going :lmao:

Your DBF will understand once he's been too ;)
