I looked for next year for two weeks at the GF (an extra trip out) and the cost for two adults and one child including PE flights was coming out at £6,600!!

I can understand Obi's comments - our holidays are getting more and more expensive, especially with PE upgrades on the Virgin flights.

This is a little complicated.

I was browsing through the Airtours brouchure. When I priced up using holiday code - the price for 14 nights was £1700 per person against a brochure price of £2500 per person. However, we wanted three weeks so had to go through travel agent as web site would only let us book 2 weeks. For teo weeks + flight upgrade + basic car quote was £5146.75. I rang website help line, got a deal and then travel agent beat it. Paying just over £7 for four of us 2adults 2kids, three weeks GF, upgrade to premiairgold cabin. Same holiday with Virgin was around £10.5k.

I guess that i'm paying £2k for extra week - but we'd set our hearts on three weeks.

Seriously though - there is a mistake in the codes in the airtours brochure. If you search for the holiday using the holiday code 25464 you get a completely different price than searching for the GF.
