Wetness Level of Splash Mountain

I've been to Disney World 6 times over the last 10 years and this month was the first time I not only got massively soaked on Splash, but the burst of water that hit me in the face was of such brute force it took out a tooth filling. Sounds like a joke but I was in alot of pain for 3 days after that as I couldn't get to a dentist while on vacation. Luckily, once I completely avoided chewing on that side, I finally felt better and was able to enjoy the rest of my vacation.

And yes, I was in the front seat - the first time I probably have ever sat there. Also, I don't know why they had the water blowing at such force as it was evening and a cold one on that, if they truly do have control over that thing, it would have been an apt time to go easy on the guest considering it was so cold.

Josh on easywdw said that they turn off certain water features sometimes and that your best bet to tell how wet you will get is to stand at the exit for a minute and look at the people getting off.

Well, great minds apparently do think alike because I was going to suggest just watching the people coming off the ride to see how wet they are. That is what I will be doing in February.

It depends on a variety of factors. In my experience, the water cannon is what causes me to get the wettest, not the final drop, and it's purely a timing issue. As for the final drop, the splash will depend on the weight distribution in the log. Heavy up front, light in back=very wet. Light up front, heavy in back=less wet. In both scenarios, I believe the front will always end up a little wetter than the back, though by how much I am unsure.
