Has anyone been to Wet n Wild and if so would you recommend it?
We are travelling to Orlando the end of Aug, with 2 DS aged 9 and 11, and their Universal passes include Wet n Wild unlimited visits. Me and DH won 2 free Universal tickets, but Wet n Wild is not included, so we are debating whether to buy one day tickets (around $33) or add on the unlimited visit feature (around $43). Adding on unlimited visits would cost us a total of around $20 more. Is it worth going there more than once?

Wet and Wild is awesome but you definitely won't get the theming you get in the other water parks and maybe even an uglier group of people.

A few years ago we purchased the flex ticket and went to Wet n Wild. We really liked it. No, it doesn't have a lot of theme...a lot of cement, but for the price it was well worth it. We just returned from Aquatica and while nicer in theme, it didn't have as much. For the price, we think wet n wild is well worth it.

Our kids, who have been to the Disney water parks and Wet & Wild, prefer Wet & Wild. In fact it's my daughter's (age 14) favorite park of all the disney and Universal parks.

Wet n Wild probably has a better and more innovative collection of slides than the other waterparks in the area, there is a lack of theming and even more important a lack of trees,so bring sunscreen because you will likely burn a lot more than say at Typhoon Lagoon which is so full of trees you can spend an entire sunny day at TL and barely get burned.

Yes, it has virtually zero themeing and plenty of HOT open concrete spaces (some with attempts to cool using small streams of water. But it has some of the best water slide/rides - far better than the "themed" ones which seem to depend on the theme rather than the slide to be interesting - and because of the openness we find the water temperatures to be much more enjoyable, especially on cooler spring/fall days, than the theme water parks. Add in the much lower cost and a top 5 world ranking in the "Best Waterparks" rankings and Wet N' Wild is a clear winner. After all a water park is about the attractions not the surroundings so we find W&W the best in Orlando.

zero ambience, but great slides. also REALLY hot if the lines are long. Because we are fair skinned we only go later in the afternoon, and in the early evening if they are open. In the midday that cement is really horrific.
