wet dsi

My son dropped one in the sink once and there was nothing we could do to get it working again. We actually still have it and I got it out the other day and tried it again and it still does not work.

not sure if this would work, but when my cell phone got drop into a lake, I put it next to a heater to dry it off.

My DS did the same thing and there was nothing we could find that would work. Even tried putting it in rice because that absorbs the moisture.

You could try putting it into a bag of rice and leaving it for a few days. It works for cell phones.

the bag of ricetrick may work if you haven'ttried to turn it on. If you try to turn it on it will fry the circuts.

Sorry, no. We had one go for a ride in the toilet. (2 year old with a flushing fascination) we had to replace it.

This is what I found when I googled it from DSI site

If liquid of any kind has been spilled in the Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL system, remove the battery cover and battery and allow the system to dry. If a significant amount of liquid touched the battery, it must be replaced. For information on ordering a replacement battery directly from Nintendo, please click here. If allowing the system to dry and replacing the battery do not solve the problem, your system will need to be repaired. Please click here for repair options.

We just had this happen last week when my son's DS fell through the top opening slit of the cooler and it sat in the ice water all night. We tried the bag of rice, but it didn't help. It had to be replaced. Good luck.

We have had DS games go through the washer and dryer and they still work.

When my son decided to wash his screen off in the sink. I went on the Nintendo site and got their number. I called and was able to send it in to be repaired. I think it was somewhere around $40, and it came back perfect and with a new stylus too. Well worth it for us since he had obtained many games from birthdays and Christmas. I think its worth giving them a call.:thumbsup2

if you get it working again or you get a new one get the nerf cover for it, my son spilled something on his closed dsi and it didn't hurt it at all :)

My niece left hers outside for a few days and it didn't work (not sure if it rained...). They had it repaired by the nintendo company for about $50 and it works like new!

DON'T TURN IT ON! Let it air dry for several days. Put it in a zip lock bag of rice, again, for days. Most of what you will read says 5 days. Any water will fry it if you turn it on.
