WestJet tv's when flying to the USA and flying back to Canada

Last night my family and I got home from our WDW/Clearwater Beach vacation and I was wondering something. We flew WestJet and maybe I am wrong about this, but for anyone who has flown them from Canada to the USA and back to Canada, did the chanels on their TV's work better when flying back to Canada? When I say that it looked like more TV's channels were working a lot better then they were when we flew to Orlando.

A lot of it will depend on things like satelite position and interference from other sources.

That thought did occur to me, however I noticed this last year and at the time I did not think anything of it. So when it happened a 2nd year in a row then I thought it was kind of weird.
