Only Canadians would understand this excitement. lol

I've been stalking our flights for March break for weeks, heck even months. Prices have been so up and down, but I knew I was going to have to book soon or risk the flight we need selling out (we have to get last flight out on the Friday since I'm a teacher).

I happened to check after work today... and the PLUS seats were cheaper than the flex fares! Like, 100-150 less. I had almost 1000 west jet dollars to use AND a companion fare. So I booked it.

Get this: The plus seats I booked, regular price now are showing at 6300 for 4 people. I got them for 2600 for 4 people! I can't believe it!

I've checked and rechecked the booking to make sure it wasn't a Halloween trick. :P

You're sure you didn't book February, right? Cuz I did that once with a rental. Luckily mine was just a reservation. And then once, I was about to book this great Aeroplan deal to Orlando and realized at the last minute, the app still had the code for Winnipeg in the "To" field. That was a disappointment.

Anyway, I'm sure yours is fine, but I'd be double checking that several times just to see such amazing handiwork. Diligence pays off!

That's great! I keep checking for a good price mid-to-late August 2019. I have almost $1,500 WestJet credit to use by April.

I still could never imagine paying that for flights. I got 6 return tickets Saturday June 1st to Saturday June 8th none stop for 1500 on Southwest so it also includes 2 checked bags and a carry on each. It's one of the reasons I won't move further from the border.

I just went and checked again after reading your post. :rotfl2: Definitely the dates we need.

Yep, well you have to do what you have to do when you want to travel. And driving to Buffalo is not in the cards for my family. So, we pay through the nose. :P

I would totally drive to Buffalo in a heartbeat for cheaper flights but it's not a far drive for us. For our next flight though we need to book through WestJet since we have flight credit. So far the flights are looking anywhere from $2,000-$2,200 for 4 from Toronto-MCO return. Grrr... credit is just under $1,500. You can guess which website I'll be stalking! :)

I still can't believe how we get gouged here. I get it I use to live in Northern BC a 24 hour drive to Vancouver and the flights to vancouver we 500 bucks each way. It was crazy. I never went anywhere growing up because of it.

Vancouver Island here. Getting off the Island is about $200 round trip for the 3 of us. It can be more if you have to add a hotel room if your cheaper flights times don't fit with ferry schedules. Delta out of Victoria have been wonderful on our travel budget about $425 CAD roundtrip to MCO and that was upgrading to Comfort class for my long legged DH.

What's that project management triangle, the triple constraint... Good/Cheap/Fast constrains the project. This is especially true for transportation in Canada and WDW.

Except the constraints are Straightforward/Fast/Cheap. The Direct (No stops) Flight wins on the straightforward and fast but definitely not cheap! Anyway, congratulations on snagging that deal!
