Westjet companion voucher

Kind of a dumb question - I didn't get a voucher with my new Westjet M/C. Is that supposed to come through the mail? Can I call and get a number emailed to me?

Not a dumb question! They do not mail you a hard copy, you have to sign in to your WestJet account, it will take a few weeks to show up. You can call also to see if it is available.

Thanks! I will probably need to call. I did try to call Westjet earlier, but today is not the best day to call due to the snowfall in Toronto and subsequent delays/cancellations at Pearson.

Basically there's a decent price for YYZ-FLL in August that I'd like to get, but want to use my companion voucher for.

We signed up for the card back in the summer and it appeared in our account within 2 weeks.

Basically there's a decent price for YYZ-FLL in August that I'd like to get, but want to use my companion voucher for.

Double check prices of other possible flights before committing, unless that's the only flight you plan to do over the voucher's year.

Since the voucher cost always remains the same, we look at overall savings. For example, using a $99 voucher for a $500 flight doesn't save you as much as if you use it for a $1000 flight. If you plan to take both flights, and there's a small enough travel party, the total flight cost is a better deal with a voucher used for the more expensive flight. (I've never tried doing the math for a larger group, though.)

Pretty much this, so the voucher would be useless otherwise.

My brother and I worked out he issue - I hadn't actually used the card yet as our main card is the MBNA world elite, which gives us more airline flexibility. So I used it for lunch today and I should see the voucher (and the $250 WJ dollars) pop up soon.
