Does anyone have any experience staying here?
I am planning a 2night/3day quick July bday trip for DS6 and I want to include parents, nieces and nephews(6adults and 4 kids) and I think we will go to the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area.
I thought about doing a cabin rental, but then I have also seen a site for Wilderness at the Smokies, which is a nice resort that has an indoor/outdoor waterpark attatched to it. It would be our most expensive option (almost double)
I have also discovered Westgate River Lodge in Gatlinburg and they also have an indoor waterpark (it is smaller and separate from the main lodge area). The rates seem very reasonable and they offer 3-4 BR suites, so we could all be together. I would love feedback on either of these resorts if anyone has stayed here.
Also any opinions regarding cabin rentals---I thought the hotel/waterpark would possibly entertain kids well, but a nice hot tub with a beautiful view sounds pretty good too!
We will probably not do Dollywood on this visit because my kids love thrillers, but niece / nephew do not and my parents have some mobility issues. May do the aquarium, a night of putt putt and dinner, possibly a hike.
Would love any suggestions from anyone well versed in this area and its attractions! Thanks!
