I stayed there about 6 years ago, so things could have changed, but I vowed to never stay at Westgate again. It was pretty bad. The unit was very old. After the 1st night, there was a water drip in the hallway, and it turned out to be the AC unit. After about 6 hrs. of trying to decide what to do, they decided to move us to another unit. We had already unpacked everything, of course. We were told someone would come help us move. 3 hours later, still nothing. Finally got everything moved, and the unit was pretty dirty. I talked them into to giving me a gift certificate to one of their restaurants as compensation for the time lost from our vacation.
The restaurant: Service was AWFUL! My daughter was 4 at the time. She ordered spaghetti w/out sauce. When it arrived, it literally had mold on it. I can't believe they even brought it to the table. Imagine if she hadn't ordered w/out sauce! After waiting over 45 mins. for a replacement entree, my friend and I were trying to decide on dessert. The server who had didn't want to stand another 15 secs. for us to decide put up her hand and said, "walking away."
So I wouldn't stay at Westgate again, but, as I said, that was 6 years ago, and things could well have changed. We never got any sort of apology.
I've stayed at many properties over the years in Orlando, some older, some newer and had no significant problems w/ any except that one.
