Has anyone ever stayed here and can tell me about it? We're staying in a 3 bedroom/3 bath June 3rd thru 9th with 7 of us. We've never been here. It's between Universal and WDW on I-4. I've heard bad things about the presentation for the timeshare, but we're not required to do it. Are all the breakfast buffets tied into sales or can you go and eat without all the pressure to buy? If so we'll just pick up stuff to eat in the room. Does it take a long time to get to WDW on I-4 due to construction or traffic? Does anyone know about the shortcut by the Crossroads shopping center? I've tried the transportation board with no luck. If anyone has any info about the place, service, quality, cleanliness I'd appreciate it kindly. Thanks, Randa from Indiana.

I haven't been there, but I was considering it for awhile. A search on these boards should give you some info on cleanliness, service etc. Not all replies were bad.

As for transportation...sorry, can't help.

We stayed there 2 years ago. The location was great. The rooms were Ok. We stayed in one of the older 1 bedrooms. The furnishings were wore. It was clean.

But the staff was awful,they were rude. I would avoid the breakfast at all costs. I was treated so badly I would never go back.

Hi. We've stayed at Westgate Lakes two times.

The resort rooms are beautiful. I thought the buildings were to close together. It remindes me of a housing project. Many tall building situated very, very close to each other.

We've been there for the timeshare vacation and on a regular vacation. We've never been treated badly. Even going on the timeshare tour was fine. We just said 'no'. Well, we said 'no' about ten times but finally (1/2 hour) we left.

You'll really enjoy your stay there. The pool area is beautiful.

We have stayed there last yr and will stay there again next yr, the place is beautiful! the breakfast buffet was very nice, they didn't ask us about anything until the last day we were there. we were treated very good.. That's why we are going back next yr.
