Trying to economize! Found several good sounding deals on this site - requires 90 min presentation thru Westgate? Stay away? Good deal? Completely new to this and we are 1st timers to Orlando. TIA

We did this once, but not at Westgate, at Marriott or Sheraton I think. It's more than the 90 mins they tell you. To get out of there quickly, be adamant in saying no. They will try to keep talking, just say NO and tell them you've got another commitment/engagement you have to get to.

If you've got time to burn, and want to save a few bucks, it's not that bad. We got two free Sea World tickets out of our presentation. This was 3 or 4 years ago.

Westgate - stay away! They have a reputation for being among the highest pressure sales presentations.

No is still no, it doesn't matter how many times they ask you. We go to a Westgate presentation every time we go to Orlando (you have to wait 6 months between visits, which is how often we go) but we only get WDW tickets we have never actually stayed at one of their resorts. They seem to be a decent place to stay for the money, just don't buy anything and you'll be fine. We book our tours through orlando magical getaway which is just an agent for Westgate. My only recommendation I can give is that they have always made good on their promotion promise.

I absolutely agree that no is still no, however, the Westgate business model is built upon people that originally said no and gave in to the pressure. Congrats to you that you haven't as Westgates are worth only a very small fraction of their developer price on the resale market. I suggest that the op avoid the presentation - it just isn't worth it.
