Day 1 Our arrival
My DH, 2 DDs, my mom, grandmother and I are the crew of this trip. I want to thank you all for all the great advice and the many things that I learned for making this trip possible.
We arrived at MCO at 1:55 pm boy was it hot!!!! We headed for the ME counter. We did receive our tags before we left and decided to use them. It only took about 15 mins. I was sweating so bad. Was very delighted to see no lines. Then thinking alright we will make our 4:15pm tee time. We checked in and went to the CR bus line. After a few mins all the lines were filling up and then one by one each of those lines were escorted to their bus all but my parties line. After 45 mins of standing there listening to jokes and see coin tricks we got on the bus and waited for another 15 mins finally departing at 3:30. Chances of making the tee time were slim to none. We called the Palms and they said to come any time. This was great. We were the first stop off the bus we checked in at 4. There were problems with check in and seemed like we would never get our vacation started. Finally we went to our room in the North Garden Wing. 3rd Floor. Great view of the Lake and dock. Was surprised it wasn't the parking lot. No bags we figured we could still get in 9 holes of golf by 6pm. We went and ate at the Fun Food Center. It was not good at all or should say just plain bad. Still no bags and no golf. We decided to go around on the Resort Monorail. That was really fun. Still no bags. Then we went to all the shops in the CR. I loved the shops. Finally we had 5 of our 8 bags. They came in between 7 and 7:30. We then went swimming great pools. My girls had a blast. I just soaked my feet. But it was fun. Then we watched the fireworks at 9 just outside the garden wing lobby. Boy was that just awesome. Then back to the room no bags. I called the guy said he would check into it. So he really had no idea where they were. DH suitcase was one missing and our clubs. He was not happy. ME called back said he found 1 bag still at the airport. Wow 7 hours later and a bag still at the airport with a ME tag on it. We watched the water pageant from the room. That was neat and could hear the music too. 10:30 we received 2 more bags. We still were missing DH clubs. Oh DH was fuming. The clubs arrived at midnight. So this ended our first day. Now the magic starts right? Tomorrow Magic Kingdom.
