I hope this morning finds you all safe and well. WTAE is showing that we are going to have quite a few dry days-hopefully we will dry out in that time. Lots of  :hug:s to all of you. Take care and keep your chins up.

Trish

Trish,
How's Indiana faring this morning?

DH was coming home from Carlisle last night and a portion of the turnpike was closed due to mudslides. He took a detour - which was great until he hit Rt. 422 in Indiana. He said just about all of your roads were closed!

A normal 1.5 hr. drive from Indiana to our house took him over 4.5 - 5 hours!!

Thanks, Trish! Many of my neighbors were flooded when a creek overflowed behind their houses. We spent the evening filling up bags of sand. Lots of cleanup going on around here today. :(

Thanks for the well wishes. Our downstairs got very wet, but that is all. Some of my neighbors got 3 feet of water in their basements.

We're OK over here in Eighty Four. We live on the hill so we're pretty lucky. My co-worker who lives in USC though, didn't fare so well. The water in her basement was coming up her cellar steps her DH said as she was leaving work. She said they just redid the whole downstairs, about $ 10,000 worth of work. I feel so bad. Its amazing to see the pics on the news, no fountain, pretty weird!

Our basement had about 2 in of water, but a creek across the street overflowed and the neighbors on that side of the street had their entire basements flooded. My sister in law lives near a creek that overflowed and she has water up to her 2nd last step, no electric so she is at her mom's hoping that when she gets home it has not entered the first floor. Alot of messy cleaning and some damage but nothing compared to Florida and the other hard hit states. My thoughts and prayers to all of the persons hurt in the storms or that have lost homes. Paulette

My husband has been bailing out the basement all day today. It's a first time for us to have water and we live on higher ground! Today there was a home Penn State game and they were announcing roads that were closed because of flooding. The west branch of the Susquehanna that flows through our town is very high but so far it hasn't overflowed. I will be glad to see dry weather!

LUVSDNY04, you must be near me i listened to those road closings on the way home from work while listening to the game on car radio, 6 inches in basement all gone now
