Western NC Castration Dungeon?

Goodness, all I ever knew about was the Biltmore House, the Grove Park Inn, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. I had no idea there was actual castration going on in someone's "dungeon" up there as well.

Oh, well, you know what they say, "North Carolina - Variety VacationLand"!

Huh??? I must have missed something. I'm from the good ol' western nc mountains and I sure don't remember any folks getting castrated...what gives?

There was just a story on the CNN crawl at the top of my computer about a man in western NC who had built a "dungeon" room off his carport (somehow that visual of a homemade room off of a carport just makes it that much more sad and pathetic) and he advertised for men who were willing to come and train to be his sex slaves. The ones who answered apparently wanted to be castrated, which he happily obliged.

Ummm, think I'll stick to a performance of "Unto These Hills" or another visit to Looking Glass Falls, thanks very much!!!

ETA: The house was in rural Hazelwood, about 30 miles west of Asheville.

Yep was in the Sunday paper for Charlotte and Hickory - those were the only two I read. I wonder if I ever ran into any of those people.
