We are going on our first ever Disney Cruise in October. I'm SO excited!!! It's the Western, Oct 9th. Taking dd 6, and ds 5, and I am looking for advice on which excursions would be best for this age group. Son is crazy about sting rays but I think the Stingray city seems a little too old for our kiddos. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!

Oh, another question, how far in advance do you have to book to get the first dinner seating? We booked last week and were already told first was full and we are on a waiting list. 7 1/2 month early?

We have always booked a year out and not had any problems getting early seating. As for your other question, we are taking our first Western with DS6 and are interested in the same questions pertaining to excursions. - Mike

Thanks, guess we'll have to do better next time. I never dreamed that booking more than 7 months in advance would give us any problems with dinner time seating.

Still hoping for some advice on the western excursions for kids. Thanks!

We are on this one too! This is our first Western, it will be me DH and DD's 4 and 11. Since this is our first Western, I can't give you advice on which excursions to do. We have picked Western Union Schooner day sail in Key West, land tour in Grand Cayman (this may change to the submarine tour), and Excaret Eco Park in Cozumel. Unfortunately, DD (4) is too young to do alot of the excursions, so we are limited to what we can do. Hopefully someone else can give you some suggestions (I wouldn't mind hearing some myself).

We book as soon as we can, usually a year in advance, and have never had a problem getting early seating. Hopefully you won't have a problem getting switched. I think there are alot of people from these boards on this cruise.

Hope you have fun!!

Cindy

I am bringing a 4 year old and we are doing Capt Marvins stingray city excursion (booked directly through Cpt Marvins so she is old enough to go) and then we are going to go to Mr. Sanchos in Cozumel...all on our own, we are not doing any disney excurions this time. If my daughter doesn't like the stingrays (though I am pretty sure she will) she can sit in the boat and just watch and she will be fine with that (the 14 year old going with us already told me she won't get in the water there so she will be hanging out on the boat and can watch Kasey)
