Western Caribbean ??

We are headed to the Western Caribbean with two 8 year olds and a 5 year old (all girls) this November on the Wonder.

Because we have the 5 year old, it looks like we are extremely limited on excursion options. (most appear to be 8 and up)

Nachi Cocum isn't an option as we will be in port on a Sunday (they're not open)

Any recommendations on family friendly excursions?

So many options in Jamaica include the Dunns River Falls and I don't think the kids will enjoy/be able to climb the falls. My husband and I were there on our honeymoon and I can't imagine the kids doing that.

Unfortunately, I remember going on a western Caribbean when I was 8. 13 now. I remember being very, very limited on excursions but that was a few years ago. I remember my only place for excursions was CC. How many nights? Out of Galveston? There is still a somewhat hidden beach in Cozumel where it has things in the water like obstacle courses to play on, your kids will love that. Hope this helps.

Book a private tour. We did in Grand Cayman and we saw what we wanted to see.

We did Dolphinaris in Cozumel and the Turtle farm in Grand Cayman when my daughter was 5. Since then we also did Paradise Beach in Cozumel and would recommend that also. Wouldn't pay extra for the inflatables in the ocean though. Our 10/12 year old good swimmers couldn't get up on them. Have fun!

ps - the turtle farm isn't offered through DCL anymore. It is easy to do on your own though. Check out their website for different options.

How much were the inflatables? Last time I recall they were free. I guess it changed.

TO get in it was $3 per person. If you wanted to do the fun pass with inflatables it was another $18 if I remember correctly. We enjoyed our time on the beach and by the pool and should have skipped the fun pass. The food and drinks were good and fairly reasonable too. I got a massage and enjoyed it!

There's the Green Grotto in Jamaica. It's kind of cool. Dunn's River Falls has a paved walkway next to the falls that people can take. However, I don't think you can easily access the walkway if you start off in the water.

We did the chocolate and piñata tour in Cozumel with my almost 5 year old. It was great and had lots of kids in the 5-10 year age group.

In Jamaica we booked a food tour and loved it. DD had a blast and loved the food. The guides were great. As adults, we really enjoyed the history as well as the food.

We didn't do anything really in Grand Cayman. We weren't sure how tenders would work and just wimped out. I think the turtle farm looked great though.

We did Captain Marvin's stingray tour last summer in Grand Cayman. My kids are older but there were a few families with young kids and everyone looked like they were having fun. Their office is walking distance from dock. It was really nice and I'd book again with them. In Cozumel maybe Playa Mia an option? Looks like there may be fun things for younger kids. You can grab a taxi at the port very easily. We did this but went to a different beach area, Mr. Sanchos. Mr. Sanchos was great but the inflatables seemed geared towards older kids. Playa Mia looks like it has an area for younger kids. Have fun!

We booked blue hole through Courtney Taylor tours in Jamaica. Our boys 5 & 8 loved it. We also went river tubing and stopped for Lunch. Our driver stayed with us all day and it was such a fun day. We left at 7:30 and we're back at the boat by 2:00.
