What's the must-do excursion for a family of 5 (ages 10, 8 and 5). I have heard negative reviews on Dunn's River Falls for younger children. Do we stay on the boat in Jamaica? What about Grand Cayman? Thank you!

We did the Dunn's River Falls climb in December. There were several young children with us. It all depends on the children. It's a pretty strenuous climb, can be slippery and takes quite some time. So it could be difficult or frightening for young children but it all depends on how they are. At those ages, I would have probably been too scared (I was really short for my age and not very athletic and didn't like doing anything that might impact my glasses or impair my vision) but my sister would have been fine as she was quite athletic and didn't wear glasses. Now, however, I can't see her doing it but I had a blast.

Stingray City in Grand Cayman was wonderful! Our kids were 7 and 4 and loved it.
Just did stingray city 3 weeks ago. Best bargain and memories of the trip!!!
$59 per adult and $39 for kids. Includes bus ride and boat ride to stingrays. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! Absolutely a must.

For Cozumel, if you have swimmers in your group (the little one you can tow since everyone wears a life vest), look into Xcaret. It's a large marine park where you can do an underground river swim. It was one of the highlights of our last WC cruise and we are going back. It makes for quite a long day, with two 30 min hydrofoil rides, but lunch is included.

Just returned yesterday from same cruise. We were signed up for the deluxe stingray excursion at Grand Cayman. It was cancelled, along with a lot of other excursions. The weather looked nice, however the ocean currents were really stong and made the tendering to the island difficult. The Carnival ship before us gave up and went back to sea. Glad we did dolphins in Cozumel, was going to do it in GC, but someone had posted on here before that GC excursions are more likely to be cancelled than on the other islands. We were able to do stingrays at Castaway Cay instead.

In Grand Cayman we have enjoyed the tour that includes stops at the Turtle Farm and Hell. When we are in Cozumel we go to Paradise Beach on our own.

The turtle farm was not offered through Disney a few weeks ago. My brother in law was able to do it though direct and had no problems. They loved it too. Highly still recommend the Stingray City though through Disney. Very affordable and our favorite moments of the cruise.

That's too bad. We really enjoyed that tour. They must have stopped offering it.
