LOL- not all. I no longer have my own laptop so are usually using my phone to post which makes it much harder. I did call DCL and found out the movies that will be playing are Plum, African Cats, Mars Needs Mom 3D, I am #4, nemo and juliette and Tron

Newbie question.

These movies play in a theater? I know that sounds like a crazy question, but I saw that there is a movie screen at one of the pools that plays movies. Just wondering where the movies you listed are played. And if the pool plays something different.

Ok here's a question: how many of you are dressing up for pirate night an how elaborate is your costume?

I had thought about pirate t-shirts & bandanas for our family, but just saw a thread with pics. Those folks are dressed like real pirates!

So, what are your plans? Let's hear it....

We booked the cruise well before halloween and knew about pirate night. We decided to buy pirate costumes when halloween rolled around and DH and I dressed up as pirates for halloween. We figured wearing them twice justified the cost. We'll probably dress up like pirates again this halloween to really get our money out of them.

Okay DIS friends, I am starting to panic. I am usually an ridiculously early planner but I feel like the cruise is SO soon (which is a good thing) and I am completely unprepared (which is a bad thing)! Okay, moving on...

Deb - was also thinking middle of the road for dressing up - shirts and bandana style. Not going crazy for formal night either - probably more business casual.

2qtees - yay, you are bringing more little ones! Our DS is 2

Got our cruise documents this week...can't believe how fast this is coming up!!!

Hi Debbie- I have not cruised since they installed "the big" screen (Ariel View Televison) plays G or PG movies and only 1 or 2 a day. This is on deck 9 midship above the Goofy Pool.

Buena Visat movie Theater deck 5 aft is where you can see the movies. Be sure to check your Navigator for times.

We're coming in from Pittsburgh PA and love love disney cruises! We were supposed to do the August 20th Med but due to religious obligations had to change.... so here we r less than a month away from our new cruise! (talk about crazy planning!)

hhislandmama We have girls around the same age. We should def try to get them together... would u care to meet up in the kids club?

Are we going to be doing a meet during the cruise? that would be cool

Mary, thanks for clarifying the movie thing. When I was looking over the navigators I guess I missed that they play movies. Gosh! There is just SO MUCH to do while on board! I don't think you could ever do it all!

2qtees, I think it's cool that some folks dress up like real pirates. If I had planned ahead, perhaps we could have gotten pirate costumes during Halloween or Gasparilla. Oh well, maybe next cruise (cuz i know there will be more!).

As for meeting before the cruise, I still think it's a great idea, Mary. We are driving over the day before and will probably take the kids to the beach. Were you thinking about doing a dinner meet up? Although we live in FL, never been to PC, so don't know the good spots. What do you suggest?

It's pretty narrow; I think the max width is 8 or 9 inches. At least that's the width I'm making mine.......er.......that's the width I'm giving my friend who will be making mine.

Hi Rachel! I would assume we would all be on the same shuttle. I plan on being on the first one. They have a couple of runs if need be.
Last time we stayed on site the night before.

We could do something after dinner, breakfast, at the terminal...Who else is staying at Country Inn and Suites? Others coming in 2 days before? If so, what are you doing the day before we sail? We are thinking about going to Kennedy Space Center...

Yes I have got WAY behind on who is sailing with us for several reasons, sorry!

I know that many people already introduced themselves...so heres us:

We're coming in from Pittsburgh PA and love love disney cruises! We were supposed to do the August 20th Med but due to religious obligations had to change.... so here we r less than a month away from our new cruise! (talk about crazy planning!)

hhislandmama We have girls around the same age. We should def try to get them together... would u care to meet up in the kids club?

Are we going to be doing a meet during the cruise? that would be cool

Thats cool! Are u guys driving down? We're going to take the auto train down from DC. Planning on spending a few days after with family. The kids love the train!

Lets do the meet! and whoever can come comes? cuz Im sure with all different ages we have we are never really going to find a time or day that EVERY1 can get together. So I say lets all try to meet after the lifeboat drill in the Promenade lounge.

We have 1st seating - this is our first cruise, and this was the one were reccommended to get.. so we'll see how we like it my only concern is the rushing.. but my mom said we should be ok - she doesn't want to be eating dinner late at night haha

mono2080, I would love to meet with our girls - it does look like they are close in age. We are also traveling with my parents and it is their first cruise, our second. I know we probably won't be able to meet right after the safety drill (must go to deck party), but maybe before dinner in play area??? We are also on the second dining (worked great for us on our last cruise - no rushing during the day and my girls are used to staying up late anyway - we're not big morning people so like to sleep in all we can). I don't know how many are in your party (we have 5) but it would be nice if we could sit together although I don't know if they do larger groups together or not???? We will be in stateroom #8580 and have 5 in our party, Myself and 2 girls and my mom and dad. I'll PM you sometime before the cruise and we'll try to get a better idea of a time and place to meet - I know my girls will like that!

Muster is at around 4:00 and lasts 15-30 minutes. The Sailaway deck party begins shortly thereafter, and we actually don't want to miss that either so we probably won't be at Promenade after muster. We'll probably go up to Deck 10 to watch the deck party.

I'm driving to port the morning of embarkation and have an 11am "port arrival" time, though from what I've read that may mean little or nothing except that I will be in port EARLY. Perhaps we can meet some of you in the terminal before we board. At least we'll all be in port at around the same time, right?
