It was in the wonderful mini-nav that you received on the first day!

I'm pretty sure Leanne, Cheri and I spoke about it a few times in the thread leading up to it. I know I even did a magnet design for it.

:cool2: :lmao:

You're right. I never read the navs. I had too much to do without reading them. Jon would tell me the fun stuff. I guess High School Musical party wasn't fun to him!

Sorry I misunderstood. I thought Nan wanted us to pick up all the kids and take them to V's and you wanted us to do yard work on the way....kids ok, yard work not. :lmao: :rotfl:

You can pick the kids up anytime and we have a gardener so don't worry about the yard!

Ken, you should get go go boots for the girls. That would be wild!

go go boots weren't until later, around 1967. Hippies too, 1968 was the big year for them. Can you feel the love? :hippie: Prior to 1965 it was still very much like the 50's, life was simple. I miss those times. I was 13 in 1963, 18 in 1968 a very bad year.

That is late 50's but would work for the early 60's also. But that would be more Chevy than cadillac. ;)

I was trying to save Shannon some sewing :lmao: :lmao: I just kept thinking of Fonzy so I guess it was the 50's! :lmao:

Mustaches and I just don't get along ...

Guess I'll try and go with the earlier suggestions.

Where was Shannon in this picture? :lmao: :lmao: Standing with a razor waiting for you :lmao:

You didn't like hippies? :lmao:

More did not like 1968. Tough year, assaination of Bobby Kennedy, riots all across the country. Lots of termoil that year AND DrHug was in VietNam most of that year and not home with me. I liked the early 60's alot. :thumbsup2

Too much work for me. My friend loves it. I just got a pay pall account because I needed it for one thing and never used it again. I also don't have TIVO which usually surprises everyone. Maybe I should have lived through the 60's! :hippie:

::yes:: I think you've got it! :thumbsup2
I DID live through the 60s and some of my preferences are still there or in the 80s like off-white walls throughout my home.

We don't have TIVO either.
I just got a Raspberry because I drowned DH's cell phone in Quiet Cove Pool.
We were the last people on the block to get a microwave, dishwasher, etc.
We only got Caller ID because I was TIRED of sales calls. Now we are on the DO NOT CALL LIST :cool1:
I am technologically challenged and do not mind admitting it.

That does sound like a bad year. Remember the friend I told you about that got married on her 18th birthday and then her husband went to Iraq? He is still there and she is a mess. She ended up moving in with his parents because she couldn't stand to be alone.

The problem here is not the moustache, it is the hat and the chicks who are NOT SHANNON:rotfl2:

Jan :earsgirl:

PS: For the 60s look you need that hair longer and the moustache longer

So I gotta ask for some help here ...

On July 17-20 my town is having our annual summer festival. We call it Billy Barker Days in honour of the BC Gold Rush of the late 1800's that happened in this area (thus the giant gold pan as our town symbol).

We have a nice little parade (it's not too fancy, but it is one of the largest family parades in the interior of BC).
This year my dad wants to enter his 1926 Cadillac:

(car buffs can see more pics here: http://www.dropshots.com/knewell#date/2006-06-08/13:21:38)

and his 1963 Cadillac convertible

. I will be driving the '63 and was thinking of putting my girls in it as well.

My question is this:
What should I and the girls be wearing for "period" outfits to go with the car? Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. Well maybe, as Shannon might have to make the outfits ... ::yes:: :rolleyes1

Ken, those cars are INCREDIBLE! I love vintage cars.

Me too. We have a microwave but I rarely use it. I don't like the way the food tastes. It just isn't right to me. We just got a cell phone a few years ago :lmao: :lmao: When we went to the store the sales rep said he had never met anyone our age that didn't have a cell phone!
