Was that Senor Frogs?
Was that Senor Frogs?
ok, pork in the crock pot for shredded pork sammies, beans about to go in the oven, coleslaw and 7 layer salad in fridge and the wine chilling.
Summer, I love it!
A gorgeous 98 here today. and I was jealous at the grocery store - I shouldn't be, I should love that people come here, where I live, to vacation....I just wish I had the vacation - don't care - 'tude!
We're all jealous that you live there V.![]()
honestly it is so gorgeous. And we take it for granted.
Every year John and I make a posterboard each on our new years goals. And we always put 52 sunsets a year (on the beach) that is ONLY one a week. We haven't done it yet!
Yup, Tyler was given one in the OC too. He told me they gave them to everybody, but maybe he's confused. Yup, that's Senor Frogs. It was empty, so we went in to sit a minute, drink our bottle of water, and take pics.cool Aruba pics - Samantha won one of those OC hats!

You call 98 gorgeous, but if it gets 90 and above, I can't go outside for fear of passing out.ok, pork in the crock pot for shredded pork sammies, beans about to go in the oven, coleslaw and 7 layer salad in fridge and the wine chilling.

I remember you mentioning that around New Years when everybody was talking about resolutions, and was wondering if you'd had any luck this year. Maybe try for one or two a month for the rest of this year?honestly it is so gorgeous. And we take it for granted.

He came yesterday. I called him before I left work and told him he might want to postpone because there was an awfully strong line of storms all the way down the state, and they were supposed to keep coming all night because the line continued down through Missouri and it was continually moving northeast. There were tornado warnings in the counties he'd be driving through, storms predicted for my city were supposed to have up to 75mph winds with golf ball size hail. At the time I talked to him, storms had just finished in his city and the radar showed he was in a clear spot before the next batch was due, so he was going to travel in between. But 1/2 hour later he called me to tell me it got bad again because of the hail and it was pouring so hard he couldn't even see his truck in the driveway. But then about an hour later he called to say it stopped again and he was on his way while he had the chance. NO more storms came, so all was good.
Because he got here later than planned, we opted to just hang out here with a rented movie. We actually talked a couple hours before even watching the movie, watched "Good Luck Chuck" and talked & laughed until about 1am. I brought him a blanket and told him he could crash on my couch instead of driving over an hour home at 1am.
It's hard to know how I feel because I haven't seen him in about 13 years. I'm a much different person now than I was back then because I've been through a lot of rough experiences. He's pretty much the same happy-go-lucky guy. I think we'll definitely end up being great friends, but that's all I see right now.....but you never know!
Wilson's ear is still hurting, but since he knows what it is he deals with it better, such a thinker that boy.
Paul is ok today, once his ear is cleaned and refilled with the anti-funal cream he is good, but that lasts only for a few days, I suspect Monday will start hurting again. He has to figure out how to rid himself of this thing soon.
Is that Molly's christening?
I wish we could make a vaca plan too, well beyond go-kart races that is. But a few years and then we'll have something good.Toyko that's my plan.
Well remembered with our GD's name there!! We're not into christenings really - more believer's baptism, but I guess they think differently. Should be a nice occasion though our other son and family won't be there. We do have a major family problem that rears its ugly head quite often. It was a shock to come back from the wonderful vacation and into the reality of this ongoing situation. Some life issues are almost unbearable at times.![]()

horrible accident happened this week in Bradenton on I75 and it has closed south bound I75 (so if we went to WDW, we'd have a huge couple hour detour). A gas tanker swerved to avoid a disabled pickup. The driver was the only one injured but is burned over 90% of his body.
it was so hot it burned the concrete. This has been a huge mess.
Michelle, Sonic was cool. Dennis and Angie had fruit slushes and I had a lime-aid. The night we went it was five burgers for five bucks, we were all full at the end of it.

Oh, you'll see about the same amount of me. Even when the screen on my laptop was not working, I had the laptop connected to an old monitor that was given to me. It worked, but it was so faded that I couldn't see or post pictures. So the only difference you'll see is that I'll be able to post more pictures.![]()
And if anything develops with Steve, he doesn't live close enough to be around every day. Only an hour and 15 minutes away, but just far enough to be inconvenient.

Ian, your description made me feel like I actually watched all of this going on. Cracked me up!
Yeah, this is just too much glamor for one house. Today I have to transfer the documentary to DVD, so I can transfer it to my Mac and edit out the PBS pledge drive.

Deborah,
We're getting married in Windsor, Canada, not in the UK.
I wish it was going to be the UK! If it we were doing it there, Sukie's daughter had wanted to throw us a wedding party out in Bath.
I just realized ... after we get married, I'm going to be her STEPFATHER!
Also, I'm going to be a STEP-GRANDFATHER with 3 grandchildren!![]()

We were both a bit surprised. Sukie smiled and was very polite, but told him that he wasn't sure.
It was even funnier since we were deep in a conversation about new seat cushions for the outdoor furniture and whether the selection at Lowes would be better.
How do you make the rapid transition to a question like that!
Woohoo Gramps!!!

I agree.Holly, Doug and I were friends before we married. I had no intention of marrying him, just wanted to be friends. We have now been married 14 years. Being friends first is a good thing.
Boy does that ever look familiar. We must have been standing pretty close to each other. Here is mine, just one from a whole series I took of that sunrise.

Not as good, but I was pleased with it, and the others I took too!!!!!!!!
I found that a lot of the people wearing Dis lanyards wouldn't bother to speak either. Why be a part of a group if you aren't going to be a part of it?
