Okay, what Captain's picture?



Didn't get to RBD as often this time as on the 11 night and I think that was a good thing. My pictures turned out a whole better.

It was the Desperate Shipmates activity. Had been a murder mystery in the past but this time it was a stolen picture.

We joined in for 2 days, but one of the clues was to be found by goling to Rockin Bar D and asking the DJ a certain question. We just knew we had finished then!! Meant to ask jackie what the clue was so we could continue, but never did.

It was a lot of fun though.

How are you? You are so lucky as got both on photo as I only managed to get one and missed out Mickey and Minnie together. Damn, because we were so busy.

Anyway, I saw you last at Bingo, and you look a bit down. I hope you was okay. I cannot believe one lady won over 31,000 thousands dollar as she seem calm. If it was me, I go NUTTY!!!

It was lovely to meet you and we saw your friend Heather and her family at the hotel at LA. It was lovely to meet them too.

Got back home and try to get back normal, still tired and I have to go to work tonight.

I've been back a week now and still having problems with my sleep pattern. I am wide awake when I go to bed, do eventually go to sleep, then wake up with a funny dream!!! Then, this morning I didn't wake till 8.45am!

I feel ya...I work at a school and we have our share of "mean" or "strict" teachers and they all aren't always that together. In fact, many of the teachers I come across that are short with parents or mean to kids are that way because they are tired of teaching or "over it" as one teacher told me. I've met teachers from all around the bay area and I find it fascinating that in many other countries, you have to take a test to get into teaching college, but here in the US anyone can be a teacher.

I totally agree - there are plenty of teachers who are at the burn out phase. Since we go to 45+ schools each year we meet some that are just angry and locked into their procedures each day. They become inflexible to any change in their industry making everyone they work with miserable.

Found this online....sounds yummy!

Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil Salad Ingredients: 4-5 medium plum tomatoes, thinly sliced
7 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
Extra virgin olive oil
Balsamic vinegar
Salt and coarsely ground black pepper
Snipped fresh basil leaves
Grilled or toasted baguette slices
Directions:
Thinly slice tomatoes
Arrange tomato and cheese slices alternately in rows.
Drizzle with oil and vinegar. Season with salt and black pepper; garnish with basil. Serve with baguette slices.
Yield: 4 servings

We eat this at least once per week all year round without the bread and use all kinds of different dressings. We add olives, artichokes and avocados. We eat Mediterranean, Italian and Japanese food for the majority of all meals. Try it you'll like it.

We had been at Med with Disney Cruise last year as it was lovely but only trouble that Monte Carlo and Rome was very expensive trips!!

We find that this year at trip much cheaper than Med. but it was lovely place to see.

Yes, this year's trip was incredibly cheap compared to the med. Each excursion was at least $150 pp. We spent almost $2000 on excursions last year and this year we spent less than $300. Plus it took me 10 min. to make decisions about this year and I put in hundreds of hours last year researching every place and detail about how and what to do. I had a 3 ring binder that was almost 4 inches thick.

Same with us too, we woke up at 4 am, wide awake. Confused where we are!!

My husband blame too light at night and morning. Different in USA.

Our kids got up 12 am (midnight) they confused. we put them back to bed and my daughter woke my husband up at 6 am this morning.

Keith and I went to see speech therapy this morning, to my embassment, that my son keep yawn, yawn, yawn. Huh

Hopeful next week back to normal because I was fine then tired then fine how strange.

I don't know the technical terms for those things but I have a general idea of how they work. Thanks for taking the time to write out such a clear description!

I like the capability of taking the picture without a flash. There are a lot of shots at DL that I think look much better when you can do that.

1.5 hours away! That's my commute to work!

I'm not really worried about the butterflies. The teacher will move on to the next subject and Shaelyn will get completely absorbed into that and forget all about them.

She's having fun showing her friends the pics from the trip, so I think deep down the trip still took precedence to her.

You drive too far to work. Jon drives 20 minutes and he hates it!

Do you think all the others' fascination with Alaska is because they have all cruised so much already? We are new cruisers so haven't moved on from the sun and heat yet.



That is so sad, but what a lovely child Brooke is to be so caring at such a young age.

I'm wondering how cold it would be in the summer. I thought about it yesterday. I really don't want to have to buy a lot of winter clothes.

As for Brooke, she is caring and crying a lot because now she is worried about losing us. I use to tell my kids not to worry because we would be old when we died but now I know I can't say this anymore. This lady was only 40. She just got diagnosed in November so this was really quick.

Hi everyone.

Sorry I have not posted earlier. We all have been sick since leaving the Magic. Heather is well, but Cameron and I are still not 100%.

I wanted to thank all those that made our trip so wonderful. Especially our tablemates for giving us those special times that we will remember for a lifetime.
