well Deb.....don't tell anyone...but WE BOOKED SEPT 09!! (just the Tortola one) :cool1: Fingers (and everything else) crossed we make it this time.....another Champagne Girl get together is in order I think!

I missed so much from this cruise so I really do hope we get to go on this next one..plenty of time to save!::yes::

now to get that champagne girl back in my sig....:surfweb:

Oh AngelUk, I am jealous ::yes:: ::yes::

what a great times in Champagne girl.

I LOVE the Wii fit. I had preordered on Amazon. It was released while were on the cruise and waiting for us when we came back.

I did the skiing the other day and really liked it, though I am not terribly coordinated. But I have been doing it because it is fun and improves muscles and balance.

My favorite so far is the hula hooping, mainly because my heart rate really does go up. I was crap at it initially, but now I have beaten Sukie in the number of spins (though muscles I typically don't use are now aching).

I also like the running (you run in place) as I find that also elevates my heart rate.

The yoga is also cool and I really feel the stretch.

It is better than a video, because of the bio-feedback. With the yoga, you have to keep a red dot in a zone, which you can only do if you are balancing correctly.

I've really only just begun to explore the Wii Fit.

We have Dance Dance Revolution too, but I have to get some kind of foam mat to put under it, since the system is in our basement bedroom and the floor underneath is concrete and not too good on the ankles. Also my lack of coordination doesn't help either! :lmao:

Ian

I know you love it as we received it before our cruise but I wish I had it 6 months ago to lose my weight. My kids are back on now with will fit as they loved it.

I need to exercise maybe I try every morning to get my weight lose::yes:: ::yes::

Thanks Ian. Can't wait to find it and get started....I am getting bored with all my pilates tapes and I just can't get myself to the gym, so this should be good.
Do you have/think you need the special mats they sell to go with it? I have multiple yoga mats but didn't know if those mats had something special in them. Thanks

DDR gets me pretty frustrated at times because Scott can do better than me!!!! That is just so not fair, and I am the one who takes dance weekly:confused3

You guys must not have met Cindy!:lmao:

Good Morning Nan, how are you feeling today? Better I hope.

yes feeling better everyday. Just a little tired. I figure in another week and a half when the kids are out of school I'll be ready to GO, to the pool, to the movies, to the mall, to the beach...hmmmmm are you sensing that I don't wish to work this summer???

ARUBA

I was wondering if anyone can post what they did in Aruba and what you thought of your choice? We are trying to figure what to do while in port here

Thanks

We took the #10 bus to Eagle Beach across from the Amsterdam Hotel. $2.30 round trip pp and $5 for a lounge chair. Very nice and very easy to do!

ok here's the plan, we ditch work, they can figure out how to pay themselves, and we'll meet half way and end up where ever the fancy takes us...sound good???

To those who have said "thank you" for your CG goodies - you're so welcome! I wanted us all (me included) to have something special to remember that meet with (not that we didn't have the pics or tiara :rotfl: ). I enjoyed making them and those were the 1st crafty things I was able to do since getting depressed last year. I knew that making those things for some amazing women was doing me wonders.

Mandy - sorry but I eavesdropped and "heard" you telling Deb that you booked the 9/12/09 cruise...WOOHOO!

Got a not so nice talking to by the Dr yesterday.....appears my nbrs are really pointing to my being pre-diabetic, so this weekend starts my new lifestyle. I know NOW that I HAVE to be better about what I eat and get my weight & sugar levels under control. Kaylee--I'll be re-reading that email you sent me ages ago (about the 7 day fast). I figured that would be a good way to cleanse everything before buckling down.

Started typing up my tr today....can't wait to be able to download/upload pics to it at home.

I did the half day (AM) sail and snorkel. It was very good...first stop was a calm, fairly shallow area, so all the first timers could get a feel for it and then the second stop was the shipwreck. Perhaps NotSoLittleMermaid and Katypop or Woody will post about the actual snorkeling, since I didn't go in the water. But it was a nice ride and some free drinks and a bit of dancing on the way back! VERY enjoyalbe for $35! :thumbsup2

lunch break over...but wanted to take a moment to add my THANK YOU for all the treats, gifts and special events arranged by my fellow DISers. You all made this truely a trip of a lifetime!

UKANGEL....YEAH.....TORTOLA!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

.back to work.

To be honest I really did not do anything. I was hanging at a bar by the dock with a car on the roof. It was cool. I can't remember the name, it is off to the right of the dock.
