I actually made a point early on to go and say hi to people with the lanyards on and quite a few said they were just travelling with someone who was a Dis'er. Perhaps some of these people were the ones who didn't say hi.

I wore my lanyard the first 2 days and then realized that if I wore my DVC one, I could get pins if they saw me....so my greedy side put away the SOT one quickly for the DVC one (and I got several pins through the cruise ). Also, it wasn't until half way through that I realized that Kelly had saved all the files so I could get a reprint of the cards...the kids were ruining theirs and that just wasn't going over well with the scrap mom!!!

Lanyards are convenient. There aren't just for learning names. I loved mine but I did want everyone to know who I was! Jon MADE me take it off for formal night!

The boys loved their lanyards and bracelets. I think they only removed them for the photos.

You know, it wasn't until you said something about gemini in the last post that I realized how strong that was in Jaide.....

Will do, she is busy with school end stuff but should be back to the world soon! I am trying to figure out a time to pop in and visit her this summer, but it isn't looking so great. Maybe a 13th anniversary trip to DL is in order in Sept. Who knows. If it weren't for a little thing called $$$ I would have been down there this weekend visiting....I had a business meeting in LA but I cancelled it.

No we chatted a lot too. You were definitely on your way somewhere. I didn't look at the pictures on PJ's page before I left. I didn't recognize a lot of people but that first little meet at Promenade was a little helpful.

My mom has always told me that I was two people so it just was natural to me. It must have started pretty young.

When it comes to lanyards, I never got mine as I got cought up doing things durring meet times. For instance, durring the the time to pick up at DTD I, was invited by my friend to go on Toy Story for a preview. True I was planing on going the next day and I did but I was not going to say no to something special like that. The one on the ship the first day I took a nap as I was tired from the night before at PI and then wakeing up to go back to Toy Story. So it is not that I did not want to say hi or anything, just got sidetracked.

Quite possible, but then why wear the lanyard?

Good point, some family members just want to be able to find each other. Some family members know everything about what is going on (like my DH) but don't read or post (second hand lurkers!)

Some family members turn out to be more involved than the original posters. For example: Debbie (Brisully) and Heather (Cameron's dad) Glad they were there!!!! Other's are forced by their family to participate

Yes, yes, yes, I do have all the Powerpoint copies of everyone's lanyard badges. So, if you want me to email them to you for your scrap books, its an easy task. My original intention was to make 2 copies for everyone in case they got wet, but when we got to 400 lanyards I was running out of laser ink!

I went back and forth about getting lanyards that were bigger for pins, but the one thing we learned last year was that we got hot, sweaty and ichy with the wider ones. It was a tough choice though. I also really like the ziplock badge holders, but some of them break, so I went back and forth on that too. So many decisions!!

Kelly....your choices were great! Don't apologize. My choice of the DVC lanyard was instead of the hat....Kara just kept seeing me without any DVC on and she told me without something I wouldn't get any pins, so I made the switch.
I am now using the SOT lanyard for my badge when I volunteer at DDs' school. It works great.
