I found this photo on a trip report on another board. Did anyone see/buy this at Shutters? If I had known it was available, I would have bought one!

magic_214.jpg

We got it. If you find you can't get it I can scan it and make a glossy 8X10 to send you. If the rumors of them having to cancel the helicopter were right this is probably from 2005 with our dates on it. It doesn't matter, it is still our Magic. ::yes::  Because of this, though, someone may be able to get you one.

Ian congrats to you and Sukie on the upcoming wedding - please post pics!

John1 - Hpapy Birthday!

Nan - hope your headache goes away.

We had a great lazy day by the pool. I finished the first in the Left Behind series and am now on to the second. Also did a quiz in my HR class. Fun stuff!

Congrats to you, Ian and Sukie on getting married. Hope everything goes well and we will be waiting on pictures.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY,John1.

Not quite gone to bed yet. We got a Wii on Friday and are just getting into it. Can't get a Wii fit or dance mat at the moment though(sigh). You will have to recommend some games.

It's raining on the Boardwalk.

Congrats on becoming a Wii owner. Doug and I are really having a ball with it. Doug got Wii Fit off of E bay but it hasn't come yet. Our Best Buy had the dance mat but we decided to wait a bit to get that. We have enough to get used to and play as it is. ::yes:: :goodvibes I really like "Game Party" and "Wii Sports".

I don't know if it made anyone else's local paper, but in our paper there was an article this past week that a new record had been set for payment to travel the Panama Canal. Guess what ship it was?

US!

They made a point to say that it was because of the new toll structure on the canal, charging by berth. Now if Disney had only tried to charge it's passengers for the difference . . .

It made me laugh after the ordeal we went through with that policy.

I think that Monica asked me, and I forgot to respond.

Dad is doing as well as can be expected - no worse, but no better. He has lots of trouble walking.

Manuel just was moved on Friday to a transitional rehabilitation facility. It is all uphill for him now to get stronger and recover. This week I expect they will get him on his feet. I may have said this before, but he told me to tell all of you (when I told him about this board) thank you for all of the prayers and well wishes.

I am as determined as I have ever been on the job front. I have sent my resume and applied for several positions in the area. I am about as unhappy as I have ever been in my job - for many, many, reasons. I probably should have been this proactive when I first mentioned this probably about a year ago. To be honest, one of my fears was an employer not wanting someone who would be gone for 19 days in May!

Now that is over, and I can be more serious. For the first time in 18 years we are not spending a week at the beach at the OBX. Really makes me sad, but between the time with Manuel, the cruise, and some financial issues at work, it was the right decision. Of course, Sophia is going with Grandma and her aunts. They leave this Friday - I will be in Columbus.

I was chosen to be on the governor's committee for excellence in education from this area. Found out I was the only school board member chosen from our county. It is a three day meeting to discuss ways to improve education in Ohio.

Oh, and weather, you could not have asked for a better day in Ohio. About 80, low humidity, and pleasant. After dinner Sophia and I went for a 90 minute bike ride. Since she was doing so well riding, she got a new bike. A 24 inch beautiful purple Trek girl's bike from the local bike shop in town. It is a 21 speed, and she is learning gears and using handbrakes now.

As I sit here on the porch and type tonight, she is still riding back and forth on our street. She has really found a love for riding (Alex never wanted to) and it is great to share that with her because I LOVED my bike when I was a kid, and really still enjoy riding.

Holly, I have wacky dreams like this all the time. I have to be honest I love them :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I think they are cheap entertainment, like going to a free movie. Let's figure out what it means...

hmmm, picked up by friends to go to work - glad Heather is well, but you went to the hospital - you are still worried for her - going to the airport - you are still living your vacation and wanting to be on it still or go away again - the shoveling coal well that's easy - you hate your job!!!

I'll record mine next time and you can play it out for me, okay? :lmao: :lmao:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

If you are wondering why I'm here and not, at the movies or the beach or Hooters...it is a migraine. I've had it since 8am this morning. I slept until 11am and just took another pill, (yuck) Paul is grabbing some groceries then I think we are going out to play. Better half a day than none. Darn these headaches.:headache:
Oh, yuck, I sure feel for you! I hope by the time I'm posting this you're all better.

I can picture this in my head and it makes me feel happy. :goodvibes

We are back from our weekend outing. We spent 2 nights at an RV park in Salem (OR) about 35 miles from home. Our DD got her diploma (AA degree) there yesterday. We took the MH to make sure all the winter kinks were worked out before heading to MT for 10 days next month. My mom enjoyed the outing. :thumbsup2 Other than that one mishap with the sewer drain hose, :rotfl: all went well.

I'm not sure if anybody remembers me mentioning my friend Lisa who was diagnosed with leukemia right before our cruise. I went with another friend to go visit her during chemo. She was to be in the hospital for 3 weeks, and was to leave the hospital the week our cruise ended, unless test results at that time showed that they'd need to do a bone marrow transplant. I had been trying to call her now and then since we've been home. When I called the hospital they told me she was no longer there, so I'd assumed she was at home, just too tired with recovering to return phone calls. Well, her mom is returning calls from Lisa's voice mail because she died May 25th, just 3 days after her 36th birthday. She never made it through the 3 weeks in the hospital. I'm very sad for her 18 year old daughter because they were so close, more like best friends than mother & daughter. :( :worried: It's quite shocking how fast it happened.....much like Marilyn's neighbor. Unbelievably sad.

Holly, that is so incredibly shocking and sad. I am so very sorry.

This just breaks my heart. I am sorry for this family

I have been working in Rhode Isalnd all weekend. I just got home. I felt bad missing Father's Day, but it could not be avoided. When I got home, we did carry out from a local steak house. It ended up with 11 at our dinner table (neighborhood kids) and we all laughed so much!!

We watched Tiger tie it up in the US Open and now the same group is watching Lakers/Celtics....

I love all these kids!~!

Nan, I am posting on the Thanksgiving Cruise meet and there is a poster there whose name is MEAN QUEEN.....cracked me up and made me think of you!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ian congrats to you and Sukie on the upcoming wedding - please post pics!

We have no clue what we're wearing. I know it won't be tuxes. Probably shorts and tropical shirts. No accouterments whatsoever.

I have missed you guys this weekend, but I guess I am here all by myself tonight....
