West Wing filming in my area

For the past week or so the cast & crew of West Wing has been filming in my area. Martin Sheen was actually attended Mass at my church last weekend. Today I saw them preparing to film a motorcade scene - no actors/actresses, just a couple of presidential looking limos & secert service type vehicles. The episode will feature a meeting with the "president" & "Yasir Arrifat" at Camp David.

i don't watch the west wing, but a few years ago, as i was flying back from hawaii...they were filming scenes in LAX in my terminal! martin sheen was right there and rob lowe was said to be coming later...they were filming at some ridiculous hour at night. it was pretty cool!

That is indeed cool. I am seriously envious. I love the show ( although not so much this past season ) and would have got a kick out of seeing them shoot.

I will try to fill you in as best as I can. The President was still trying to decide what to do about the person(s) that bombed the motorcade. He was worrying about collateral damage and didn't want to harm innocent citizens. Leo kept flashing back to the days when he was still Governor and had just been elected President. The new security person (can't remember her name) was trying to keep him from bombing or that is the impression that she gave. Leo basically told her to keep her mouth shut. Donna woke up and the photographer showed up to see her armed with flowers. Josh happened to see the photographer kissing her and he got a wee bit jealous. Flash back to D.C. and the President is scheduled to throw out the first pitch at a baseball game. He goes to the game and Toby calls Leo telling him that the Palestinian leader is announcing that he is accepted and invitation from the U.S. for peace talks. Which Leo knew nothing about. So, one was lead to believe that it was done behind his back. Flashback to Germany, flowers showed up for Donna at the hospital. But, they were actually for Josh from the Palestine leader wanting someone to meet with him in a restaurant in Germany. He was a little antsy about going to the meeting. But, the new security person convinced him to go to the meeting. When he gets back from the meeting, Donna's bed is empty and there are bloody bandages on the floor. He rushes to the nurses station asking where she is. He then rushes up to the OR and tries to go in. The doctor stops him and tells him that he can't go in there, that she has an embolism (spelling) and they need to operate. The show ended with the doctor walking into the operating room.

Hopefully, someone else can recap it a little better then I did.

I've only seen a couple of episodes. Guess I'll catch up on the reruns this summer.
Forgot to mention they had a DC ambulance in the "motorcade" also - so I guess there will be some drama with an illness or injury.
