West Houston/Copperfield?

Do any of you live in the Copperfield area? My DH and I were talking about that area today because we used to live there. We were discussing how far we had to go to get to a mall and wondering if there is now a mall in that area. BTW, we moved from there 14 years ago and the mall I used to go to was in the Hwy 6/Westheimer area (can't remember the name of it).

That would be West Oaks mall that you use to go to. The only other mall somewhat close but not really that close would be Willowbrook mall. Hwy 6 around Copperfield has really grown. Plenty of stores nearby. At Hwy 6 and 529 which is copperfield area they have Lowes, Home Depot, Target, Walmart, etc.

Yep,West Oaks Mall! Is Willowbrook Mall North on Hwy 6? I can't believe that there isn't a mall close to Copperfield yet. Good that there's a Target, etc. I used to have to drive about 10-15 minutes for that, as I recall. The Kroger and I think Randalls were close by, along with some smaller stores. I bet that area has grown. Maybe some time I'll make it back there to take a look.

Yes Willowbrook is north of Hwy 6.

I live in Cypress but go to Copperfield all of the time. It has changed so much in just the last 6 years. The Randall's shopping complex was completely redone a few years ago. There's a large shopping area across the street from there (at the corner of 529 and Hwy 6) where the old Wal-Mart used to be. There's a Bed, Bath and Beyond, Barnes and Noble, Petsmart, etc... there with an Outback Steakhouse in the parking lot. They opened a Super Walmart on the other side of Target on 529. The Target was also expanded and remodeled just this past year. I think you would be shocked if you saw how much some parts of this side of town have grown. Cypress is growing like crazy too. There will be a new master planned development out here called The Bridgelands that is on several thousand acres of land. I believe there are plans to put a mall in there. We are even getting a movie theatre complex out here

Wow, lots of development! I was just curious in general since it's been so long since we've been back there and have no future plans to return. Maybe sometime my DH will have to go there on business and I can tag along.
