West Haven

Hi all have just booked to go back to florida in oct.I said in 2000 we would try it once and weve been back every year since it must be an addiction,but a nice addiction.Anyway we have booked a villa at west haven has anyone stayed down there if so whats it like for shops and places to eat.Any info would be most welcome.

Hello there

There are two developments at West Haven, The Abbey and The Sanctuary. We stayed on at a 5 bed villa at The Abbey. Everything about it was great ! It is located very close to the champions gate golf complex, and you are only a two minute drive from a host of shops which includes a large publix supermarket and a Walgreens Chemist. There are also many restaurants within 5 minutes of the villa.

Trust me, you will not be disappointed with the location !

West Haven is a pretty new development so the houses will be in great condition. You have options from there to get to the parks, although IMHO expact a 10 minute drive to the restaurants on the 192. Try the 2 different restaurants in the Omni Rosen (Champions Gate) they are a little bit pricey, but the food is great.

If West Haven is near Champion's Gate then it is situated south of the attractions so it may take a bit longer to reach Disney etc

We have stayed at West Haven twice now and it is a great location- you are five minutes from Champions Gate (where there is a Publix and some other shops including a great pizza place that delivers) and about 10-15 minutes from the new Walmart. We found it took us 15-20 minutes to Disney and about 25 minutes to Universal travelling about 8.30-9am weekdays.
