Did you grow up going to Disney or did you discover the magic in your adulthood?

My parents lived in Southern California when they were first married and I joke that I was probably conceived at Disneyland. :goodvibes It's in my blood and I went all the time growing up as a kid to DL and then WDW. I remember when it was just the Contemporary and the Polynesian VILLAGE! :thumbsup2

My kids are now growing up Disney!

I was raised on Disney movies, but my family never took a vaca to WDW or Disneyland. DH on the other hand, they went EVERY summer for years. I blame my MIL for creating my Disneymania. LOL She's the one who bought my honeymoon tickets.

I was born and grew up in South Florida, so.. yep.. I was definately raised on Disney. :wizard:

Not at all. In fact I grew up thinking it was corny and only punks go there.

This is the reason I didn't make it there till the grand old age of 44!! Boy was I shocked!! I spent so many years in disdain of something that never deserved it!

Def not raised Disney....dragged my dad there for the first time...when i was 18. Left for the CP the first chance I could. My mom loves it, but we weren't raised with it, except for the occasional movie. My kids will be though!! :rotfl:

Not at all! Probably one of the reasons I love Disney (a Psychiatrist might say) is that I was brought up as an only child by adults who always lived in a very adult world. They wouldn't allow a swing set at our house or any dolls for me to play with. A Disney trip? I think I'm making up for lost years!

This has me cracking up. Its no wonder you are my cuz. :goodvibes Long lost, perhaps, but cuz just the same. :p

I also did not really discover Disney until adulthood. I went once at 17 on a class trip but was really too cool for the place, I sat on a bench and smoked cigarettes with all my cool friends. :smokin: Geez. If I knew then what I know now...... Had no interest in going again until I had kids, and even then I was only going for the kids. I was so pleasantly surprised that I've been going back ever since. :)

I went to Epcot one day when visiting my grandmother in FL at 19 years old.

My first 'real' trip was at 22. It was the first vacation I have ever took with my now fiance. And we have gone back a bunch of times since.

Walt Disney World- The Perfect way to start a Magical Life together!!

I grew up in New England, and my family of 7 was poor, so we didnt vacation ANYWHERE, nevermind WDW.

I finally made it when I was 31, and took my parents with me. :goodvibes

No, my mom has never understood my fascination--although I like to tell her that it was all her fault--she took me to Disneyland the first time at the ripe old age of 6 months. :teeth: You can see me gazing around in absolute awe in the old home movies.

We went to DL twice--mainly because my aunt & uncle lived in CA. We went to WDW once in 1976 because my grandparents were wintering in Lakeland. Now my mom says she doesn't need to go back because she's already been. :rotfl2: They didn't even have Epcot then!

I only got to go 2x as a kid, when I was 5 and 8. My mother hated it both times, so we never went. I asked her constantly if we could go back and she refused.

I never lost it! I want to go back as much as possible!

My first trip was when I was 3 1/2. I'm 19 now, and have 7 trips under my belt and am currently planning a trip with a friend who lives in Florida, hopefully in the first half of next year. Yup, I was raised Disney :teeth:

My first trip was when I was 20!!!! but now for my ds5... :rolleyes1 he's been to wdw 5 x's and on the disney cruise 4 x's!! if you mention vacation..he thinks that means you're going to disney :rotfl:

My first trip was when I was 1. We went every second year after that until I was 17.

Ive been going since i was alittle kid,and got my dw going when we got married and is addicted to it too.

My first trip to WDW was when I was 9 months old, back in 1975. My family has gone back at least once every year since then. Now I'm 32 and have been probably close to 40 times, if not more.

So yes, definitely raised Disney.

It's such a nice tradition for us, and it's been fun introducing my husband to the place. Now as we're planning our own family, I'd like to continue the tradition with my children one day!

My parents moved to Orlando from PA partially because of Disney, and my dad worked at Epcot back when it opened and I was about 3 years old.

I grew up Universal too, since my mother worked there when I was about 12 and I worked there when I was 15

Not at all. My first trip was when I was around 8. I didn't go back until 2004, some 20+ years later. I wish I could go a lot more often.

Yes, I was!

My Grandmother lives in Kissimmee so we used to go down to visit and go to Disney World, of course it was just the Magic Kingdom and then we were there for the opening of Epcot. My last trip was at 10, I didn't get back until I was 27 :scared1:

My kids are raised Disney. They've all been to WDW, DL, and DLP.

Was raised on Disney movies when I was a kid and saw some of the tv shows. I took 3 one day trips as a child/teen. My first real trip was in 2001 at the age of 28 and I stayed for 4 days. I then went back the next month for 7 months on the college program. With the exception of 2004, I have been back every year since. Already my week long vacation planned for next december :teeth:
