Were you @ Disneyland last week?

We were there 10/14-10/20 and we saw wait times at Pirates of about 60 minutes during the busiest times. And no FP.

When we first entered the park on Sunday the line for Pirates stretched out to Frontierland! We couldn't figure out the line at first then realized it was for POTC!! It took the cast members a while to get the line under control.

Um, potc DOES have FP.

Pirates at Disneyland hasn't had Fast Pass, nor Fast Pass machines in almost 2 years.

....and really doesn't need it.
It's one of the highest capacity per hour, highest capacity at one time, quickest moving line and fastest loaded/unloaded attractions at DL.

How was it on Saturday? :crazy2:
We didn't arrive until Sunday around 4. But I wouldn't think Saturday would have been much worse. My understanding is both Saturday and Sunday are much more crowded due to the locals.

Many people travel to DL at this time of the year and many travelers come for the weekends - odd how you "blame" the locals for crowds. My guess is that if DL were only attended by locals - there would not be a crowd problem.

And BTW - many "locals" usually stay away from the park on weekends when it is crowded with travelers. :goodvibes

we were there oct. 18(wednesday), oct. 20(friday), and oct. 22(sunday).
Wednesday was not bad, the biggest wait time i saw was about 30 minutes, the other two days i saw a lot of rides (mainly the really really popular ones of course) with wait times above that, some were at 50 minutes. we walked by the winnie the pooh ride on sunday night and it had a wait time of 2 minutes though! :teeth:

On opening day the line for POTC was beginning at the emporium and we were told a 2-4 hour wait - it was 55 min. Since then I've been about 20+ times and it has never been more than 15 minutes. pirate:

I went to DL & DCA this past Sunday (10/22) and it was unusually crowded more than usual. I arrived at the park early and they let us in 15-20 minutes beforehand. However, they blocked off the end of Main St. until opening (9am). They did open the shops on Main St. and I was able to grab breakfast from the Blue Ribbon Bakery. I spoke to a CM and they said that the stores were open early to give guests time to shop around (to kill some time) before the park opened. I spoke to another CM and they said they didn't know why the park was so crowded and that it's been like this for the past 2 weeks and she wasn't sure why. My guess is that a lot of guests want to play in DL during the day and go for the trick or treating even in DCA at night. There were a lot of kids I saw who were wearing their costumes.

Once the park opened I saw a ton of people head towards Pirates.

Maybe guests want to see the Nightmare Before Christmas decorated HM. I'm not sure. :confused3 Hopefully by next week the crowds will start to wind down a bit.
