I'm planning a 5 night trip Oct 26 2007. I'm wondering if i should go ahead and book with AAA or wait to see if i should buy an AP. The AAA is non refundable. Does AP usually have discounts for Oct 26 (Halloween time) We plan to book at the Poly and garden rooms are $385 right now:scared: Does anyone know what the Poly AP discount was last year during Oct 26 week? Thanks

yes we were there 10/18 -10/26 2006 on an AP rate, it was about 30% off rack rates.I know it went beyond our stay but not sure how long.

P.S you can book a room only rate with a AAA discount with full refund wi thin 5 days of arrival. We actually booked at AAA rate and then when AP rates came out switched it to that.

It's my understanding that you have to book through a travel agent to get the dining plan and AAA room rate, then the tickets are non refundable.

When did you find out about the ap rate?

Ap rates came out in August last yer.
And yes it is true that you need to book through a AAA Travel Agent to get dining plan and AAA rate but you cant get dining with the AP rate either.AP rates are strictly room only.

AAA is refundable. I've just booked my 2nd consecutive trip with an AAA package, and I have specifically talked to my agent about this. As long as you cancel more than 5 days out, you get your money back. If it's less than that, you're charged $200.

Plus, you only put down $200 to hold the reservation with the balance due 45 days before travel.

Now your AAA membership has to be paid, so that might be what you're thinking is nonrefundable, if you don't already have that, but the Disney part IS. Plus, you could always have the AAA rebook you with the AP discount. Disney will allow you to reschedule your package as long as you do it before you go.
