We are stuck on which restaurants to eat at during our 2 week  vacation. We have only like 5 TS and 2 CS on our 'must do' list because we usually end up eating at the same place more than once...:cloud9:Teppan Edo  .

So-the question:
If you had to choose ONE TS and ONE CS in terms of best food and best atmostphere (thinking more like a teenager), what would they be (and why, if you have the time)? We're going to try and get my neice and nephew involved in a few months (after a surprise reveal) to planning and want to give them choices. They've never been on vacation. Ever. Unless it was a weekend to visit great grandma in the nursing home 300 miles away.

Favorite food:
TS
CS

Favorite atmosphere:
TS
CS

Thanks so much for your opinions!

Favorite food:
TS toss up between Kona and Boma (Cali grill for signature dining)
CS Flame Tree (used to be absolutely #1, but has slid a little the last couple years) or Sunshine Seasons or Earl of Sandwich

Favorite atmosphere:
TS Prime Time
CS ?

Thanks so much for your opinions!

and info you didn't ask for.... just because

For those who've never been; character dining at least once is a good idea.
And we personally like Garden Grill to meet the characters (food is sometimes very good or just OK), they give you so much more time than any other place. We usually see the characters (Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale) 2 or 3 times during our meal.

My DS15 loves 'Ohana for both breakfast and dinner. I agree that a character meal for a first timer is a must. Breakfast at 'Ohana seems more laid back to me than most breakfasts. I agree that Garden Grill sounds like a great idea as well but we will be trying it first time this trip so I can't comment first hand.

His other requests for this trip are Le Cellier and Artist Point! He has never been a McD's kind of kid! ;)

Sci Fi is really cool for atmosphere ... we prefer lunch to dinner.

We really aren't big on most CS places but do usually take a day to just snack around EPCOT and share a few different meals and snacks. The CS places in the other parks just don't interest us all that much. Pizzafari in AK is Ok and kinds cool inside.

Favorite food:
TS - Kouzzina
CS - Sunshine Seasons / Wolfgang Puck Express

Favorite atmosphere:
TS - Ohana
CS - Cosmic Ray's

Favorite food:
TS-Le Cellier or Cape May Clambake
CS-Bakery in France or Starring Rolls

Favorite atmosphere:
TS-1900 Park Fare or Cape May
CS-Main St Bakery or Pizzafari

If you do a character meal-I would highly recommend 1900 Park Fare or Cape May bfast in the Beach Club. Cape May is very laid back with Goofy, Minnie, and Donald in beach attire. Very fun!!

Also-Via Napoli in Italy would be fun for teenagers-good pizza and zeppoles!!Yum!!

50's Primetime and Sci-fi are alot of fun-I just didn't love the food at either one but desserts were good and you can get a shake as your drink on the DDP. I think at Wispering Canyon you can get all-you-can-enjoy shakes on the DDP-that's fun for all ages!!

Have a great trip-its fun taking people who have never been to disney :goodvibes

Choose 1 TS & 1 CS oh, that's sooooooo hard, I have many favs :goodvibes
TS Kona or Boma
Best TS atmosphere would be Tutto & Teppan Edo

Fav CS Sunshine Seasons & Flame Tree
Best atmoshpere I think the seating area of Flame Tree is the most beautiful in the parks.

For Sig. dining my fav is Narccoossee's. Like Cali Grill, you can watch Wishes from restaurant and they pipe in the music, but IMO the food and service is better. I was underwhelmed with Cali Grille, esp after hearing all the hype.

Favorite TS - Crystal Palace Breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and friends

Best TS Atmosphere - Teppen Edo and Crystal Palace

Favorite CS - Cosmic Ray's or Sunshine Seasons

We have teens, so:

Fave food:

TS-Le Cellier (we all love the filet over risotto)
CS-WPE (really interesting dishes and delicious)

Fave atmosphere:

TS-Sci-Fi (love the theme, cool design and movies), Teppan Edo (good food and fun show) and Beaches and Cream (great old ice cream parlor feel)
CS-Yakatori(Japan is great spot for visit-nice food and good shopping) Yak and Yeti CS

For food, some of the best TS, IMO, are Flying Fish (2TS credits), Boma (1TS credit), Les Chef's (1TS credit), 50's PTC (1TS credit, we really like lunch there). Sunshine Seasons (EC) or any of the WS CS restaurants are good. Flame Tree BBQ in AK is also a pretty good CS location.

For atmposphere, some of the better TS, IMO, are Cali Grill (2TS and a nice view of MK/Wishes), Biergarten (1TS, fun live music, festive), Sci-Fi (1TS and a pretty unique atmosphere). None of the CS restaurants have a notable atmosphere.

For teens/young adults I think some of the best TS choices for both food and theming would be the Cape May buffet dinner (how many crab legs can a young man eat? Don't ask ;)), Boma, Biergarten, and Ohana.

Depending on their sense of humor and your budget, HDDR could be a lot of fun. Or slightly more on budget, have dinner at Boatwrights at POR & then step next door to catch Bob Jackson's show. Check for dates & times (starts at 8:30 but think he's only there Wed - Sat). 1 TS dinner and no cover charge for Bob's show.

For CS: in AK, Flame Tree for good ribs and great theming (go sit in one of the back pavillions with a nice view of the water & Everest). In HS, Starring Rolls for good sandwiches & great dessert selections. In MK, Pecos Bill for the fun factor but I'd also recommend taking the monorail to the Contemporary and eating at Contempo Cafe (since they don't get away much the food choices are good and having the monorail go by overhead will add a coolness factor) and/or to the Poly and eat at Cap't Cooks (strongly recommend the pulled pork sandwich, the fresh house-made potato chips, and a contest to see who can get the most Dole Whip in their cup for dessert). In Epcot - everything. Honestly. pick at least 2 countries for each meal, different orders at each, then meet someplace in the middle and everybody shares everything.

Favorite atmosphere:
TS - 50's PT or Sci Fi, Beirgarten is fun too
CS - Capt Cooks and then you can chill at the Poly

Favorite food:
TS Cape May Buffet Dinner (Beach Club Resort)
CS Tangerine Cafe (Morocco Epcot)

Favorite atmosphere:
TS San Angel Inn (Mexico Epcot) or Sanaa (AKL)
CS Tangerine Cafe (Morocco Epcot)
