We're Staying OFFSITE! An October '14 PTR!

I'm so glad you commented on my PTR so that I could discover your PTR! It's awesome, and I'm definitely very excited to read your TR/see more plans!!

I second the yay for sleeping in!

Also yay for MNSSHP! That will be fun! Good luck on getting a later time for 7DMT! So hard!! I have been trying to get a later one for my day as well. /trolling

Will you be going for any any special character photos?

Yay for sleeping in!

For the in between time I like the monorail tour idea or maybe just browse some shops or find a nice place to relax and people watch.

That's what we're trying to figure out! Do we leave the park? Maybe we'll go over and visit the CR; it's a favorite of ours. Or maybe we will just take the monorail over to GF or something to go to Basin and store our wares in a locker!

Hey, thanks for coming by! :welcome: I loved those shoes and it looks like you will have a very food-full trip!

lol at the /trolling comment! I look EVERY DAY at least three or four times; other times keep popping up but they're earlier. And I wonder if there ARE later times, but my other fastpasses are keeping them from showing up! But I don't want to change THOSE times!

Yay, MNSSHP!!! I can't wait for our night! I think it's going to be so much fun! Did you know they are changing the dance party with woody and Jesse to a villains dance party? I'm excited to try that out!

I saw you said something about carousel of progress--I don't know the dates, but I read somewhere that it's closed for refurb when we are there at the end of sept. Just wanted to give you a heads up that it might be closed. (I wish I could remember where I saw that so I could check the dates! If I see it again, I'll let you know)

Following along - only on about page 4 but I am interested to see how you like the logistics of staying off site as we might do that eventually. Also excited to see how the day with the 2 WWoHP parks goes - we are doing that as well in January!

I knew there was going to be a villains dance party! I'm excited to see it - and take pictures of it. With a flash. I'm sure I'll annoy the heck out of everyone with my flashes on MNSSHP night, but my phone doesn't take pictures at night without the flash. hahaha

I saw that COP was down for refurb in September, but it's open again before I get there! I'm so glad, I love COP!

:welcome: I know we're going to have a great time; I'm so looking forward to it! Plus I'll be onsite for a bit too. I'm more nervous about US/IOA, doing both Harry Potters in one day! !!!

I haven't been updating - or around much - because I'm about five days away from a major move. But tonight I have some free time and am enjoying reading about Disney after a break - it is so hard for me to close my wallet when it comes to Disney spending even though I am super frugal the rest of my life! I am still contemplating MM, though it's looking more and more like I'll spring for it, just so I have pictures from the rides. And I am FIGHTING not to book the new Villians Soiree that just came out for $99 pp - that is just ridiculous, but I know how much my mom wants to see the parade and I want to see the fireworks.... No, I won't do it, but it's haunting me!

Anyway, on to day 6!

Day 6 is a bit of an easy one.

We have NO PLANS.

No parks scheduled, no ADRs, no FP+.

We've discussed what we want to do, but there's no plan. We will have been go-go-go-go for days, so we might take today to relax at the pool and then hit a favorite park for closing that night. I'm hoping it's Epcot for Illuminations, but the F&W weekend crowds will be there, so I'm just not sure. My mom also mentioned going to DTD again tonight, so that would be a cab over as I am NOT driving and trying to park on a Friday night!!

We have a fairly busy day on day 7, so day 6 will be a wonderful recharging day and I'm looking forward to it!

See you soon for day 7!

I'm the same way with Disney spending ... the only time I've ever paid more than $20 for a sweatshirt was at Disneyland. Usually I hate spending money ... but I spend plenty (more than I should) at Disney.

I'm pretty anti-MM (it's a lot of money and I wouldn't use it enough to justify it), but I think that if you really want the ride pictures, it is the way to go - buying the individual ride pictures adds up. Ride pictures are something you can't get with your own camera, so if you want them, get them the cheaper way - which is probably MM.

And the Villans thing at MNSSHP sounds really cool ... but I don't think it's worth $99. You're already paying for the ticket to the event, another $99 is really a lot.

Good luck with the move!

Day 6 sounds amazing! A day of nothing in the middle of the trip sounds perfect!

I didn't think I would like MM either, but I really ended up loving it. You get pictures with everyone in them, the ride pictures and the pictures from meals where a picture is taken. I really liked being able to add borders and the date and fun things like autographs to them also. And, the girls and I all loved the magic shots they do. They have special magic shots at MNSSHP that I'm excited for that you can only get with MM. It is a lot of money, but if you use it, I think it really makes it worth it. I know some people who have done a MM share with others going at similar times--could check into that to reduce the cost?

Anyway--can't wait to hear about day 7 and good luck with your move!

With the ride pictures, we will be doing the Ultimate Day of Thrills VIP tour and they ride all the thrill rides at MK, HS, and AK so we would have like, 5 or 6 pictures from day 3 alone. Add TT to that on day 3's night at Epcot and that would be 6 or 7 ride pictures in one day. Say it's 6, at $15 a pop - that day alone would be $90 if we paid oop. And we like the thrill rides (and I've been cleared by my doctor as long as I keep up my exercises), so we'll be riding them often.

I don't think the Villians thing is worth $99 either. Had it been $50, they would have had me - that wallet would have popped open so fast I'd be falling over myself to give them my money.

I don't quite understand the shares, so I never even thought of attempting one. The way I understand it (and I could be wrong) you have to link to the other families in the share and I'm kind of private when it comes to a lot of things.

I'm heavily leaning towards it, mostly because I don't know when Mom and I will be back together to WDW, and because it would be nice to have for my TR. :)

Day 6 sounds great! I wish we had enough days to have a day just like it in our schedule!

Thanks; it already sounds nice and relaxing to me. Who knows what we will do. Originally this was an MK day but there's a MNSSHP at night so we won't be going to MK. And we probably won't go to Epcot because of F&W. And AK closes early... That really only leaves HS, so maybe we'll go there? I just don't know and right now I'm happy to leave it in the air!

Yay for a rest day! This is the first year we have one but ironically we still have plans just ones that can be altered if we want.

Hope your move goes well and safe!

Well I hope you get your rest day! :) We feel like taking the tour will get us all the rides we definitely want to do, so we CAN take a rest day.

Thank you for the well wishes. I'm procrastinating just a bit today; I'm tired of packing and being afraid my stuff won't fit in the pod I've gotten. Tomorrow all will be figured out finally! I'm so looking forward to it!

I hope the move is going well! Very exciting!!

Love no plan days!!

That $99 a per person is bananas! I mean you can still see the parade and the fireworks! Just think what else you can spend $200 on!!! Oooh the pins and vinylmations! T-Shirts! Mickey bars! Giant Stitch doll!!! :cheer2:

All caught up!! Good luck with your move!!!!! Hopefully your kitty cat isn't too stressed out :goodvibes

Good luck with your move!

Some times the no plan days are the best. You get to just do whatever you feel like!

Love your day to day plans especially your Thrill tour! Sounds like a lot of park hopping but with a Disney guide by your side I'm sure the hopping will be a piece of cake!

And I love days with no plans! For us it usually means that we're staying at Disney long enough that we can spare a day and just lounge at the resort. :thumbsup2

The move is finally closer to over and I am almost to the breathing point again. I packed all my stuff in a pod, and it just arrived in my city; have to get it delivered and unpacked this week, and then my move is complete! I am so stressed; can't wait to be back to even.

I know! 99$! If it was just a little cheaper, they'd have hooked me; but as it is, I'm going to save my money for Dooneys. ;)

All caught up!! Good luck with your move!!!!! Hopefully your kitty cat isn't too stressed out :goodvibes

Thank you! He is super stressed right now; hiding under my bed. But he has started eating and drinking again, so that's great. Tomorrow will be better; it will just be the two of us in the house all day.

Good luck with your move!

Thanks!! We are going to do exactly that!

Welcome back to the DIS! I was wondering how your trip planning was going; read through your mini-TR tonight. GREAT pictures!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As you all can imagine, I am busy busy busy but I plan on updating with day 7 and day 8 plans pretty soon, maybe even later tonight if I can relax enough to sit here and do it.

I hope everyone's trip planning is going great as I know we are ALL on the downswing now that September has started!!

Day 7 - HS or AK, 1900 PF, and MK!

Ugh, I dreamed last night that they released the new HM DDB, and I kept taking one off the shelf but it would turn into a different one when I went to buy it. I wish they'd just come OUT with them already!

So we haven't decided on a morning park yet. If you haven't noticed, AK is pretty conspicuously absent from our plans - it's just not a park we can get into. And with the tour, we'll be riding the rides we want to catch here anyway. BUT...

We do want a little more time at AK - I love Dinosaur and ITTBAB, so we're trying to decide now where our rope drop will be.

After HS or AK, we'll head back to the condo for a rest.

Then it's time for the Tremaines!

1900 PF is on this day. We have a 4:45 p.m. reservation, so we're going to valet park at the GF so that we can go straight to MK after our meal.

After eating, I have FP+ set up for us at BTMRR and HM, and then we also have a WISHES FP+! I'm excited to try this one - I hear it's not crowded but it's not an ideal location. We're ok with it not being ideal since we usually are off to the side anyway, so I'm excited.

Only problem I'm having is this: our FP+ this night is like every other FP+ we have. HM and BTMRR. I want to change the BTMRR to Splash, and here's why: HM is like, 20 minutes start to finish, and Splash is like 20 minutes, but BTMRR is only a couple of minutes. So shouldn't I change to something that might have a longer line and that is a longer ride? Right? Decisions, decisions!

Well, I'm no help with the FP switches because I'm indecisive myself. However, we did have a lot of fun at 1900 so I'm excited about that for you both!

AK wasn't a fave for us either, but we seem to like it the more we go. I think everything sounds good!
