Were others told this on bounceback as well?

I just want to make sure others were told what I was concerning the bounceback offer. In our room it was myself, DW, DS4, and DS1. I think I misinterpretted what others have been stating concerning each adult can book a bounceback package. I thought this meant, since we had 2 adults, we could book a room for ourselves, and then a 2nd room for my parents (who were not on this trip). They were planning on only 3 days, and after the CM stated the BB was only for those actually at WDW presently, that made sense, I just wanted to see if that has been everyone else's conclusion as well.

TIA

No. You need to call back and talk to someone else. As long as you and your wife are traveling you can book two rooms. Anyone else can travel with you

Well, we are now back at home, and I'm not sure it would have worked anyways. I'm sure her name would have needed to be on one room and mine on the other. The problem is, we're going for 10 nights, while my parents will be there for 3 or 4 nights.

Id still call back if you guys really want to go. You remember the "name" of the person that you talked to? They can make one res with you and your wife and one room for your parents and just put notes on theirs linking it to yours.

OP - If you were trying to book one room in your name and the other one in your paretns name, then the CM was correct and that was not possible - it would have been two rez, and only yours eligeble for the BB offer, since your parents were not there.

If on the other hand you were to book two rooms under your name (ie one rez), then you would have been able to do it.

Too late now...

Actually they can book two rooms like the OP originally wanted the CM just needs to link the resses together.

I had trouble booking two rooms as well, but after gently insisting was able to do it.

This is not correct. They will not allow someone not currently on property to have the room booked in his name for BB.

Then youre not talking to the right person. There is absolutely nothing in the bounceback rules that say this cant be done. It says you can book as many rooms as adults on your current reservation. Book one for you and your family, one for your friends or other family not there and the CM will put a note on the resses linking them together proving that there are two adults and two rooms booked

I'm with MBanks!! I just got back and booked the bounceback for myself and another room for my friends (who were not there). The trip I just returned from was me, DH, DD and DD's friend. I called the day I checked in to book the bounceback and got 2 rooms, one for me, DH & DD and another one for BFF , her DH and 2 DS's. I got 2 different confirmation numbers. Mine was emailed to me and my BFF got her's in the mail before we even got home. All is well!!

This is very frustrating that I even said to the CM that I've heard others had done this, and she said, no it can't be done, that I've received some misinformation, there's been alot of miscommunication on this offer, and a person who is not at WDW right now, can not be on the bounceback offer.

I pushed it, saying that I again thought that each adult in the room could book a bounceback offer, and she again said that was true, but it had to be only for people currently at WDW resorts.

We were there last week for Free Dining. By putting a $200 deposit down before we checked out, we could book a trip for 2009 in late August thru most of September and receive Free Dining once again.

If you're at your resort on a code (we have the 40% for when we go in October), does the code apply to the bounceback rate? Also do you have to book the exact same package for next year? We have deluxe dining this time but may not want it next time...

I booked the bounceback last week. I had to put me and my kids on one ressie and my husband w/my parents on another(parents were not there). The CM told me they don't care once we check in if my DH stays in our room but his name would have to be on the other ressie to get the bounceback for them. I would have loved to have done it seperate.:confused3

But won't they charge you the extra adult fee for the room with your husband and parents?

I'm sure they did. I haven't even had time to check on any of the ressies since we got back. I couldn't have done it any other way because my husband had to be the lead on the ressie. OH, I guess I could have put my mom with me and just put my dad and DH on the other. DUH!! Thanks for pointing that out. I guess I can still change that all around.

Based on what's being said in this thread, I'm still wondering if we could have booked for them.

We are going for 10 nights, checking in on Wed., Aug. 26th, they will go for 3 nights, checking in on Tues., Sept. 1st. I'm seeing people saying DW would need to be on one of the rooms, and myself on the other. Whether we stay in those rooms or not, doesn't really matter, but that surely would effect the number of days each of us have for dinning, wouldn't it?
