We're off!

I just wanted to say "adios" for a while. We are leaving tomorrow morning for our "permanent" trip to WDW!

After many years of dreaming and two years of planning, Ted and I are making our dream a reality by moving to Florida!!! We will be living 5 miles from WDW. So, the moving truck has left, and we are bunked on our aerobed for the night.

Tomorrow, We're off!!!

Ted is staying with his current computer company and will be working from home. I'm going to be a "housewife" for a month or two and then I'll continue my career as a Speech Language Pathologist.

We can go to WDW everyday.... just after work!

UPDATE! We're Here!!!

We're here and we finally have INTERNET!

The ride down was relatively quick and EASY! The weather was perfect and we made it here in about 24 1/2 hours driving time with quick stops from NH to Davenport. I'll post the details of the drive on the Trans. board later if anyone is interested.

We stopped for about 4 hours in NC to sleep, and got back on the road first thing in the morning because we needed to make it to our new place by 4pm. We arrived at 3:59pm.

ALthough we were sleepy and wanted to go to bed when we got here, our "Florida Friends" were quick to arrive with dinner, treats and an impromptu party! It is great to already know people, it lessened the shock a bit.

The apartment is beautiful and we love its location- 10 minute drive from WDW gates! We spent the weekend at WDW... it really feels like we're just on an extended vacation! Ted has the week off, so more WDW and furniture shopping for us.

Looking forward to many DIS meets and being a current source of information about the area (once I learn it!). We'll post pictures as soon as we can!

Chris and I hope to someday move down to Florida. It won't be until we retire,(30-40 years) but maybe sooner! We'll work part-time at WDW! Congrats on your move!!
