We're off to Disney again!!!..This time we're bringing the scaredy cats! pics. Done!

I love your report and all the stories about getting your mom and brother on the rides are hilarious! Can't wait to hear about how your mom embarrassed you all!

OK. I'm back! So, I left off at us heading over to toontown fair. Dh, DD and I love the Barnstormer and we wanted to try that next. I really wanted my mom and Bro to try this since its just a kiddie rollercoaster so on the way there, I kept telling her that DD rides it every time we're here and its not bad at all. She kept saying Ok, I'll try. We got to the queue and the sign said a 15 minute wait, but it looked like a shorter wait than that so we got on and made it all the way to the top with just a few people in front of us. Bro was ready to ride.
Mom saw the roller coaster fly by with people screaming on it and she looked at me and said "That's not the ride we're going on right?". I gave her a look and said "What do you mean Ma? Yeah, that's the ride"
She told me there was no way she would get on that and she started to panic. She kept saying "How do you get out of here? I'm not going on. Which way out?!!!!:scared1: This is when it all started to be really embarrassing because Dh and I kept telling her to try it and that its only a few seconds long, but she started flipping out and screaming at us infront everyone. "GET ME OUT OF HERE! TELL ME HOW TO GET OUT!!!!" Of course, by now the queue was 15 minutes long behind us and everyone was staring at us like we were crazy. popcorn:: I told my mom to go back down the way we came up and she heading out by herself. All the way down, she kept saying out loud "I can't believe they thought I would get on that. They're crazy" Every couple of people she passed, she would look up at us and yell out "This way right?" and then if that all wasn't bad enough........"WHERE DO YOU WANT ME TO WAIT FOR YOU GUYS?" so I had to yeall back to just wait for us at the bottom at the entrance. :sad2:
I just wanted to get off line and go hide somewhere. I was so embarrassed. :furious: It seemed like everyone on the line got all quiet to hear all of our problems....I guess its our fault though. We should have known better.:guilty: I guess she was getting us back for all the times we were bad when we were younger!
Anyway, the rest of us finally made it onto that ride and loved it. I had to sit with Bro because Dh wanted to sit with DD this time. The only thing that scared me a little was that Bro is bigger than me and so the lap bar went all the way in to him, but I didn't get all the way in to me so I didn't feel very secure. Thank goodness it was all ok and we met my mom at the exit.

After the Barnstormer, we headed over to the hall of fame. I was really hoping that we would meet the princesses because I love that they talk to you and they are so beautiful in those dresses. Unfortunately, the line was 40 minutes long and we jumped on the line for Minnie, Goofy and Pluto which was only 20 minutes.
The line ended up taking even longer. We were actually on line at least 30 minutes. We still loved the characters. My mom thought it was great, but Bro was shy and we had to force him to take some photos. Here are some pics:

Since we love characters so much, we hoped back into another line at the HOF to meet Donald, Chip n' Dale and Abbey from Chicken little. The line was 15 minutes. :woohoo: Unfortunately, I wanted mom to catch the parade but we would never have made it on time, so we just skipped it for the 2nd set of characters.

By the time we got out, I took one more peek at the line for princesses and it was up to 75 minutes!!!!
There was no way!
We passed through Mickey and Minnie's houses for DD since she loves them...
100_2692.jpg

and then we headed over to the toontown train station. We've never been on the train before and I thought it was long overdue. Plus, we needed to get over to frontierland so now was as good a time as any.
Here are some pics I took while on the train:

Here is a nice view of the contemporary off in the distance.

The ride was just okay but kind of borring. Dh actually took a nap while on the train and Bro thought we were leaving the park to another park. :confused3

I'll stop here for now since DD is up from nap.
Thanks for reading.

Coming up.......Bro tries Splash mountain. :sad2:

:rotfl: Your mom is too funny. I had something similar occur while in a line with a friend. She did not get out of line but was freaking out the entire time and kept asking everybody around us if it was dangerous, had anybody died, etc. I think her being freaked out started to freak out some of the other people around us. No as bad as yours but still embarrassing!:rotfl:

Wow. That's funny. :rotfl: I'm surprised people didn't start leaving the line. lol.

Ok caught up.

Great character pics.

:scared1: After getting off the railroad, we passed Splash Mountain and Dh said he wanted to ride. He asked Bro if he wanted to go with him and Bro looked at the drop and said "Sure. That looks easy"
Mom and I looked at eachother and gave eachother one of those looks like - these guys are CRAZY.
We tried to talk them out of it before Dh went to get fastpasses because 1)They didn't bring a change of clothes and it was probably going to be cool that night plus we had lots more to do and they would be wet and uncomfortable and....oh yeah, wet :sad2: . 2) I knew Bro was scared but he didn't want to admit it and I didn't want him to panic before the big drop and jump out of the log:scared1: and 3) The wait was long and I wanted to save the fp for big thunder instead of Splash because I have been dying to finally try BTMRR.
Of course, Dh didn't want to hear my excuses so he got a fp for himself and Bro.
While waiting for the fp return, we went to big thunder to look at the standby wait and it was 20 minutes. I didn't want to wait that long, but Dh said it's probably shorter than that because people kept moving.
I was a little nervous because I've never been on BT before. The last few trips I kept chickening out even though I really wanted to try, but after all the wonderful disers told me it was a mild roller coaster and that I would do okay, I finally put my mind to it and got into line with Dh and Bro.:dance3: We left DD with Mom since she's too small to ride and Mom wouldn't ride anyway.
I made my way to the ride vehicle. The wait was actually about 5 minutes in the end. :thumbsup2
Dh couldn't believe I finally was riding with him and he wasn't on it alone. He thought I would chicken out again. I was so proud of myself once we boarded the vehicle. :yay: I sat with Dh and Bro sat in the seat right infront of us. He kept saying "How scary is this one? Does it go upside down? Is it really fast?" Dh kept trying to scare him and tell him that it does go upside down. :rotfl2: but I knew it didn't or I wouldn't be going on it.
We took off and I didn't like the beginning because it was so loud and I felt like I was going to go deaf right there on the spot. Thankfully, the noise stopped and we headed to the outside part.
I screamed the whole time but it was so much fun and I really liked it when it was over. I didn't get to see much of the scenery though because I was just holding on for dear life and screaming my head off looking at the track ahead and it was so fast. I would go on again, but I feel like BT is my limit for thrill rides. I don't think I could handle anything wilder.
After this, we headed to Pirates of the Caribbean. I just love this ride! I think its amazing and one of Disney's best. Just as we were making our way over there, it started to pour! Rain was coming down very hard and there was thunder and lighting. I don't like storms and I'm scared of lightning :scared1: so I wanted to get under cover. We ran into pirates all wet and we were about to board our boat when something happened.
All of the boats stalled and everything was at a standstill. The CM's were on the phones and other CM's were walking back and forth talking to them and then leaving. We weren't sure what was going on :confused3 and if it had to do with the storm or not, but I became nervous.
Bro didn't help matters much because he is very impatient and he kept saying "what's taking so long? How much longer?" as if I knew.
My mom was also worried because she knew there was a drop and she didn't know how bad even though I kept telling her it wasn't bad at all.
Eventually, we boarded but I still didn't feel right since the boats were so very close together. I like the drop on this ride, but I always get a little nervous right before we go down and I worried that the boats were too close together and that there would be an accident.
Unfortunately, I easily get anxiety attacks and I felt like I was having one. :sad2: This is not supposed to happen at Disney World!...the happiest place on earth! After the drop, nothing happened by the way, I felt much better and we all loved the ride.
Even Mom said "that's it? that was the drop?" She said the ride was great and she wants to come back to Disney again soon because its so amazing. She was sad that we only had 1 day here.
Here are some pictures for Pirates and sorry they are dark:

When we left Pirates, the rain had stopped and the guys were on their way to Splash Mountain....This was gonna be interesting.
I kept asking Bro if he was sure he wanted to do this and he kept saying yes. I told Dh that he was scared and Dh said he would be fine.
The girls waited outside facing the drop. We wanted to watch the guys come down.
Unfortunately, boat after boat after boat came down and no guys! What is taking so long????
My mom and I nervously looked at each boat fall and we were very nervous about Bro. Dh would be fine since he's been on these types of rides before, but Bro has never been on a ride with a huge drop like splash mountain.
We couldn't wait until they came down so we could breathe a sigh of relief.
They finally came down and it was hysterical to see their faces.
Dh had the biggest smile looking down and Bro had his eyes closed shut and was holding on for dear life. I wish I could have had a pic of their faces if I was close enough!
When they came down, I realized I had no idea where they get out so I figured it would be the Briar Patch store since most rides drop their passengers off in a store, but they never came out. I finally asked a CM and she told us where to wait.
They came out and strangely were not even wet. Dh was laughing hysterically because Bro got really scared before the big drop. He would not stop laughing at him for the rest of the night.
Here is a pic I took of the guys infront of Splash mountain after they got off.

You would think Bro could handle anything after Splash Mountain, ha ha! Yeah, right. Just wait and See.....coming up!

Great update. I love SM, that drop is the best.

Loved this update! You must be proud of your brother from getting on Splash, that must have taken a lot of courage since he is so scared of those types of rides.

I'm glad you went on BTMR, that ride is so much fun!

Yes, my brother was really brave and surprised us that day!!! We couldn't believe it.

Thankyou all for reading. More coming up soon!

When we left Splash Mountain, I thought of DD and how she loved Aladdin's carpet ride in December, so I told everyone that we should head over there to let her ride since we were nearby anyway. On our way, we saw this guy and took a pic:
100_2709.jpg

and this small parade
100_2720.jpg

We went back over to adventureland and the line was very short, so we got in line. The great part is that all 5 of us would be able to fit in 1 vehicle, the girls in the front row and the guys in the back row so we wouldn't have to go through what we did in the morning with Dumbo.
The carpets went up and that's when everything got crazy!!! You would think after my Bro rode Splash mountain, Space mountain and big thunder, he wouldn't have any problem with a kiddie ride, Aladdin's carpets but unfortunately, even though I don't get it at all, he was literally panicking. :confused3
Even my mom was a bit nervous. She did Dumbo just fine, but I think my Bro was making her nervous.
The whole time we were up in the air, Dh and I were laughing hysterically at them. :rotfl2: Bro was in much worse shape than my mom. Dh did not help at all because he purposely kept making the carpets tilt back and forth and DD made sure the carpet was high up in the air!!! My mom kept hiding her face in her hands and kept asking if it was over yet because she couldn't look down and Bro kept telling Dh "Stop tilting, stop, stop!!!" but Dh kept laughing away and kept tilting the carpet.:rotfl: It was a bit embarrassing too because I think everyone on the ground waiting to ride was watching us too. It was too funny and little DD had paid no attention to anyone and just had a great time flying the carpet. We finally got off and we all kept laughing at my Bro....even my mom who was scared a bit herself!
Here is the pic of my bro that Dh took when he was panicking

The day would soon be over so we headed over to the Haunted Mansion. I couldn't go home without having my mom ride this.
The wait was about 10 minutes. We got in line and it wasn't long before we were in the stretch room. My mom wasn't sure about how scary this was going to be but I told her it wasn't scary at all and thankfully, she believed me. I'm so glad she didn't skip out on this because of the name of the attraction.
We all loved the haunted mansion. My mom and Bro were both fine. The only part my mom jumped up a little was when the vehicle turns backwards and goes down that small hill, but she thought it was great overall and wanted to ride it again. We headed back to the entrance, but the line was much longer now so we just headed back to fantasyland because my mom wanted to ride the teacups. Before going to Fantasyland, my mom wanted to ride the liberty Belle, but the last boat already departed and we couldn't. She was disappointed because she thought it was beautiful. :sad1:

100_2717.jpg

We got to fantasyland and my mom told me she always sees people riding the teacups on TV and she thought it was so cool that here was her opportunity.
Now, I have this thing about the teacups. Every time Dh and I go somewhere with rides that spin like the teacups, he acts like he's 12 again and spins us all like crazy. I don't get motion sickness at all, but I don't like feeling dizzy so we've always skipped the teacups on previous trips.
My mom wanted to ride really bad so I agreed as long as the girls and guys would be in seperate cups. ;)
Dh and Bro gave us a hard time about this and told us that they wouldn't spin us too hard, but when I told Dh to promise, he wouldn't so I continued to insisted that we still go on seperate cups. We did and I really regret missing this ride on other trips. I liked it.
While on the ride, we watched Dh and Bro spin themselves really hard and Bro almost fell when he got out of the cup. They could barely walk and Dh said he kind of felt sick......Well, that's what you guys get!!!
100_2735-2.jpg

Coming up......we ride the indy speedway again :sad2: and eat at Pecos Bills.

:lmao: Boys will never learn. I foolishly went on the teacups with my brother and felt sick for about half an hour after getting off that. They were spinning is like crazy. Never again will I ride that with them!

update :thumbsup2

I have never done the teacups but maybe next year looked like fun.,

I haven't done the teacups in the past few trips... really hoping to ride this time.... your bro sure is interesting about what rides he gets scared of

:lmao: Boys will never learn. I foolishly went on the teacups with my brother and felt sick for about half an hour after getting off that. They were spinning is like crazy. Never again will I ride that with them!

Yes, I agree! I won't ever ride the teacups with Dh! I won't be able to enjoy the rest of the day because I'll be too dizzy or sick.

Thankyou all for your comments. I'll try to get more up soon but I'm heading to the pirate and princess party Friday so I'll do my best.

I'm back from the Pirate and Princess Party and unfortunately, we did not have a good time. It rained all night but that's another story. I'll get on with the trip report soon.

Great updates - looking forward to more.

Sorry you did not enjoy the party - the rain made it horrible - but we were able to ride everything in the 4 hours we were there.

So, we just got off the teacups when Bro told us he wanted to ride the "cars", the indy speedway. I really don't care for this much but I guess since its his first time to Disney, since Dh didn't ride yeat and DD loves it, I might as well do it again.
On the way there I kept making fun of Bro because he wants to drive a real car back home, but he hasn't gone to get his driving permit yet so I kept telling him "This is the only time you'll ever drive because there's no way the state would ever issue you a license" He jokingly told me to shut up and we lined up.:rotfl2:
This time I rode with DD, my mom, Bro and Dh rode all alone. I kept looking behind our car as we drove because I knew that either Bro or Dh would try to bump our car if they caught up and I was scared DD would bump her head against the hard steering wheel. Thankfully, they didn't catch up to us and we got out before they made it to the finish.
Here is me and DD in our car waiting for the go:

We all got hungry again so we headed over to Pecos Bills for some dinner. Again, we all got burgers and fries which were pretty good. We sat in the newer seating area. It was kind of dim, but there was hardly anyone in there so it was quiet. We enjoyed our meal.

It was still kind of early, but we were all pretty tired by now so we decided to go find a Wishes spot.
I was looking forward to this all day because I wanted to see the look on my mom's face during the fireworks. I knew she would love them and Wishes is my other favorite thing at MK besides Phillharmagic. I'm always breathless at the end and I can't imagine it being any better.
We started to look around for a spot and we remembered a great spot we had in December on the small bridge on the way to tomorrowland. Well, people already found the best spots and started to crowd up the area. Surprisingly, we found a seating area open with a view of the side of the castle in what we thought was the same spot as we had in December. While waiting, I had promised DD some ice cream earlier in the day and forgot to get it for her, so I sent Bro with some money off to find her an ice cream and a soda for me. We told him not to get lost and to hurry because the show was to start in less than 30 minutes. Well, we waited and waited and waited and no Bro!!!
Uh oh, we think he's lost. How are we ever going to find him in this huge crowd and which way did he go?
We decided to wait a little longer and he finally came back. Unfortunately, he said he couldn't find any place open that sells ice cream. I told him to go back and try again because DD was very dissappointed and there was still at least 10 minutes before Wishes.
He left and came back shortly with an ice cream for DD. I looked at him and said "Where's my soda?" He was like "What soda?" popcorn::
We all looked at him and told him I asked for a soda a few times and he said that I never asked for it. :confused3
Again, I told him to go over to Cosmic Ray's and get me a soda since it was close by and there was no lines. He made it back just in time.
:rotfl: I just love doing that to my Bro.

Wishes started and I was so mad!!! It turns out that this wasn't the same spot as December and the fireworks were behind some trees that blocked our view. We could only see the fireworks that went up really high in the air. You couldn't hear the music or see tinkerbell fly. What a dissappointment!!! Fortunately, my mom was still in awe and said that's the best fireworks she's ever seen before.

The view is so much better from the hub so I just don't think she knows what she's missing. When the fireworks were over, we headed out of the park in a huge crowd. Of course, Mainstreet looked so beautiful as did the lit up castle. As always, DD always asks for a balloon on the way out and we always tell her no because I could get a mickey balloon at my local dollar store for a dollar or $2.

We were about to leave but we sort of have this tradition to stop by the expo hall on the way out every time we're at MK. Not many people know this, but you can view your photopass pictures in the back instead of wait on that long line in the front. Also, there if you enter and go left there is a back room that is always empty with some cutouts you can get your picture taken infront of. They are pretty cool. The room also has a very small theater with old Mickey cartoons.
Here is the pics with the cutouts:
100_2761.jpg

100_2765.jpg

100_2775.jpg

We watched a few minutes of the cartoon too and they left.

We took the monorail and headed back to our car and home.
Even though a few things didn't go my way, we still had a pretty good time and it was worth it because my mom loved it.

Here are a few more pictures from my trip:
