We're not having a baby so let's go to Disney World. May 2009 PTR. We're HOME.

Awww, she's such a cutie! Don't they grow up too fast. I've started planning Emily's 3rd b-day! :sad1: It's exciting that she is becoming such a little person with her own thoughts and opinions, but I miss the baby cooing and gurgles! :cutie:

Cute birthday pics! I hope that you get the cake you want. As far as souvenirs besides what you already listed I would say any CD with park music is great. Wishes, Holiday Wishes, Finding Nemo the musical, Holiday and Event Party music... I love to listen to them to bring back the Disney feeling. :goodvibes

Your souvenir list looks almost identical to mine! I HAVE to get Mr. Potato Head parts! My Little Pony too! Reese is just getting into MLPs, but I think by the time we go she'll be really into them!

Oh Happy "Almost" Birthday to Madeline!! Blue Clues...hmm maybe bone shaped sugar cookies!! Check out this website.. It is my FAVORITE for Birthday Party Ideas. http://www.birthdaypartyideas.com/html/blues_clues_party.html

For souvenirs I always have to get a new Mickey Flag each time we go! We have the Mickey Pumpkin one- and the Easter Egg one (Which I can put up this week!) We love xmas ornaments - You should see my tree - Its LOTS of Mickeys- and we have Tinkerbell on the top. Love it!!!!

When is DHS closing at 7PM? I think while I am there I looked and its always 9? (Is DHS Hollywood Studios?)

do you have any pictures of your tree? I'd love to see it! the one thing I regret about our honeymoon was that we didnt' get an ornament. we tried but they said it would take 2 weeks to personalize and I didn't want to pay the shipping- dumb I know.

Last I looked at the disney Studios hour it was closing at 7:30 except for Fantasmic nights and that was 8:30. We're going on Friday the 8th. I'll check the hours again.

Yes she's grown way too fast for my liking. Hopefully you'll have another baby soon for the cooing and gurgles!

Thanks for the idea. Madeline loves music so we'll have to check the cd's out for sure!

My parents are giving Madeline a Mr. Potato Head for her birthday so all we'll need is the parts at Disney. Madeline got a few of those my little ponies in the happy meal a couple months ago and likes them, but yeah isn't into them all that much yet. We'll see what I end up doing with that one.:cheer2:

Frustration! Last night I decided to drag the suitcase out and see if it was big enough for our stuff. I also thought our lanyards and pins were in there. NOPE! So I spent a long time looking for them. I can NOT find them anywhere! I'm starting to think I packed them in a box (last summer we were trying to sell out house so packed a bunch of boxes to de-clutter.) I'm thoroughly annoyed right now.

My other frustration is I logged on this morning to find out the photopass share that i'm in and have already paid for is most likely going to be cancelled. I was looking forward to it and of course all of the other ones are closed now. Anyone have room in their share for me?

Today we're going to an American Girl tea party at my mil's church. It's cowboy theme. We're going to stick out cause neither M nor I have any cowboy apparel but wasn't about to go find something that we'd were for 3 hours.

Wow I was going through dis withdrawel. anyway...

Yesterday we went to a dolly and me tea party. Madeline was pretty overwhelmed but here are some pictures anyway.

It was pretty cute. They had a 6 course meal that consisted of 1.) shoe string potato chips, 2.) cheese cubes and grapes, 3.) cornbread and prickley jelly, 4.)taco's and wagon wheel pasta salad, 5.) corn dog nuggest and jello, 6.)S'more brownies (YUM!!) and mini cupcakes. We also did a craft where we made a purse from a pocket and a leather bracelet. They had a little skit and live horses too.

After that Nana and Papa watched Madeline so Eric and I could go watch Knowing. It was pretty good.

In trip news I still haven't found my lanyard, still waiting to see if our photpass is indeed cancelled and still waiting for the final word from my sister. Oh and i'm still waiting for my $50 gift card from Sunshine rewards. It's been over 2 weeks now. I hope if come soon!

I also need to figure out snacks for the road. I'm thinking grapes, crackers, fruit snacks, fruit breakfast bars and not sure for us. I want to try to stay away from cheese on the drive because with Madeline not moving around she'll get constipated.

Well, it's another Monday morning. We're down to 40 days until we leave. 42 days from now we'll be enjoying a nice wait for opening ceremonies at the Magic Kingdom (or maybe riding the ferry over).

I opened up the mousesavers newsletter this morning and found if I had waited til today to order our tickets I could have saved $10 more. Oh well.

Yay for 40 days!!:cool1:

Awww! The dolly & me tea party looked like so much fun! I would love to take Emily to something like that! The food sounded perfect for little girls and their dolls!:cutie:

Sorry to hear you can't find your lanyards. I hope they show up soon! Bummer about the photopass share. If it is cancelled, you could start your own! There are still others out there looking to join one, I'm sure.

:laundy: Me too!!

thanks. It was a lot of fun. I'm sure next year she'll like it even better. I was surprised she sat through the play they did!

I'm doing laundry and then I think we're going to run to Target. That is always dangerous! I need to find disposable litter boxes for my FIL. He'll have to change them when we're gone so I want to make it as easy as possible.

We will miss you by one night - we are going there on 5/7

We will miss you by one night - we are going there on 5/7

so your picture and post are showing up now. So strange that it didn't show yesterday!

We're not doing any main parks on that Thursday. The UG rates it as an 8 day so that scared me off. :lmao: Still havent' figured out why since everything else is 5 or 4. I'm thinking Eric and I might try to do Fantasmic though. We'll see

ok so we're down to 39 days. It's nice to be out of the 40's. I talked to my sister yesterday and she said "I'm most likely NOT coming." Still not a definitive answer. I don't know why she just doesnt' say, I'm not going.

I'm really starting to wonder if my dad is going to make it through the parks walking all day. We are taking the breaks but I don't know. I see a wheelchair in our future I think. We've rented ECV's before but I'm sure they've gone up a ton in price since 1997 :rotfl2:

When we used to go with my grandparents we'd bring my grandma's wheelchair (she had really bad arthritis but could walk just not all day) and then inevitably at some point in the trip we'd end up with an ECV split between my dad and grandpa. This was also back in the day when there were no fast passes and a wheelchair would get you front of the line access. My sister and I always felt guilty about taking advantage of it but my grandma really couldn't stand in the long lines they had at Christmas. I think my grandpa would fake limp sometimes to help my sister and I feel better :rotfl2:

Anyway, my dad is not a small person and he is getting arthritis like my grandma I think. He also only has 1 kidney (he donated his other one to my sister) that has been damaged by medication so this causes some leg swelling at times. He also tends to throw his back out while we're at Disney :confused3 . This all leads me to believe we will be getting a wheelchair or ECV at some point. One good thing is he is a very good ECV driver so he will only run over people if they jump in front of him. Believe it happens a LOT more then you'd think. People think they can "beat" the ECV but end up with sore ankles! I mean really people are pretty dense. I doubt they'd jump in front of a motorcycle or car but have no problem jumping in front of an ECV. Ah well.

Since we're talking transportation, lets talk buses/monorails/boats. I think my preferred mode of transportation from the TTC is the Ferry. It is so cool to feel the breeze and just watch the castle get closer and closer. Plus you get to keep an eye out for gators and other wildlife. So we'll most likely take the ferry on our very first day at MK. I also want to take the monorail. I prefer to take that to Epcot. Only problem is I'm not sure we'll be park hopping there with Madeline and I really want her to experience the monorail. I think she'll really like it. I think we'll end up taking the monorail from TTC to MK on our before park opening ADR at CP. I don't even know if the Ferry runs that early anyway so it's probably our only choice. I'm hoping to avoid the buses entirely on this trip. I wouldn't mind hoping on a boat from Epcot to MGM at some point though. That's a pretty ride.

Sorry for the long winded post today. I guess I ramble sometimes. Might be because I had about 4 hours of sleep last night. Madeline had an nightmare and was then up for about 3 hours.

I forgot to mention in my last post that it looks like my photopass share is back on. YAY! Now if I could only find those darn lanyards!

I've been away for a bit and missed a lot! Sorry for that.

Hope your sis makes a decision soon. It makes it tough for planning without knowing if she's coming or not. She's missing out on a lot of fun if she stays home! ;) I still think that getting the first haircut at Disney is a memory you won't regret, by the way!

Love the AG cowboy tea. That is so cute! I don't think they do anything like that around here. Looks like she had a lot of fun too!!

The trike/ motor scooter is so cute! Is she loving that? J has a little hot wheels Barbie trike thing and she is tall enough to peddle but refuses to. She just uses her feet when we go around the block. It's so cute to watch them play. They grow up waaayyy too fast. Also love the RG outfit. We have that tutu too. :rotfl: ;)

I did see the crocs pick and LOVE the lavender ones. Lavender is one of my fav colors too. If your feet were bigger I'd be stealing them from you, lol.

It's 39 days!!! Exciting!

39- you are so lucky! (hee- I am STUCK in the 40's)

Nightmares are the worst for kids. It's so scary - and hard for them to understand what happend and that it's not real. Myles likes to say he has nightmares because he wants to sleep in my bed. (but luckily he hasnt had a real one in long time!)

I hope your SIS decides soon- do you have her in your ADR's? Would they change if she doesnt come? You should totally get an ADR for Plaza on May 10th. It will be our "unofficial" Dis meet!! -There will be 3 of us coming and going around 12-1!

Madeline can reach the pedals fine but doesn't really know how to use them. I think she pushes both of them at the same time. I'm sure by the end of summer she'll be an old pro!

Madeline can't really voice her nightmares yet but that's the only thing I can figure out. She's had them for quite a while. Maybe one every couple of weeks. She just get hysterical and does the can't catch my breath breathing thing. Madeline does just like sleeping with us though but we've pretty much broken her of that habit finally. So we always hate to have her back in out bed cause we're afraid old habits will return.

I got my Passporter book yesterday. I really like the Passporter. I'm not sure if I'll carry it into the park with me but it's nice to have for a little journal of the day.

I think the only thing I'm waiting for now is my $50 gift card. It sure is taking forever to get here!

We've been watching a bunch of Disney movies. Yesterday we watched Toy Story and right now we're watching A Muppet Christmas Carol. Madeline thinks Gonzo is an elephant. :lmao:

I ordered her birthday cake last night. Now all I have to do is clean the house and figure out drinks.
