We're not having a baby so let's go to Disney World. May 2009 PTR. We're HOME.

Thanks to everyone who's joined my PTR!:thumbsup2

Day 10- Magic Kingdom:
This will be another fun day. We have our before park opening ADR for Crystal Palace. After that we plan to see Tomorrow Land (so sad that TTA will be down :( ) and Toon Town. What did this land used to be called? I know it hasn't always been Toon Town. I remember when it had a petting zoo and I think it was more Donald themed then Mickey but I could be wrong. Anyway. I don't plan on standing in any long lines for the fairies but we'll go through Mickey and Minnie's houses and maybe see those characters if the line's not too long. I plan on letting Madeline run around and play here. This will be a short day. My parents will then take Madeline back to the condo

This is Eric and my scheduled date afternoon/night. We'll either stay in MK and hit up some more E attractions or we'll hop to another park. We have a 5pm ADR at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Depending on how we feel we'll either explore around a bit or head back to the MK. I'd really like to see the electric water pageant so maybe we'll do that.

Next day is an off day and I'm guessing it will be a true hang out at teh condo off day. We'll see.

off days are much easier to do when you're there for 12 days. If we were only there for 7 we would maybe have 1 off day. With my parents and Eric off days are a must. Eric and I might end up going to a park at some point during an off day too.

The next 2 times I go to Disney before my annual pass expires will only be short 5-7 day trips. I'm hoping to do a Sun-Fri trip end of Sept or early October- so 5 nights. This way I can stay in a Disney resort and not have to pay weekend rates and hopefully get a nice AP discount. This trip will most likely be just Madeline and I. I'm thinking we'll stay at POFQ.

ooh very nice- You may even get free dining if you went in September! This will be our first time staying at POFQ - Last time we stayed at POR and the time before that POP.

I can't decide if I'd rather have free dining or a 40% off room rate. I'm thinking I'd like the 40% off rate more. The only times we've stayed on site it was at POR. I :lovestruc POR, but thought since it may just be Madeline and I I'd like the smaller FQ a little better. I was considering Pop but I really like that boat to DTD!

I think the 40% would be better if it was just you and Madeline (BTW, I LOVE that name) That way you could bring in some food for breakfast and snacks and probably even share lot's of meals. We LOVED POR and I was actually a little sad we couldnt get into POR this time but as long as we have the boat to DTD I will be happy. We LOVE the boat- it's a memory Myles (my 5 year old) always talks about when he talks about our Disney Trip!

I love that boat. The first couple of times I stayed there was with my parents. It was still called Dixie Landings then. The boat was so cool cause we got to see the Disney Institute and the old Tree houses on the way to DTD. The driver would talk about all the neat things you could do at the Institute. Of course before I could try something out (would totally have on our honeymoon) they closed it and built Saratoga Springs.

My Gap order just came. YAY! I can't wait til Madeline wakes up so we can have a little fashion show. If she's in a good mood maybe I'll take pictures for all of you!

Madeline and I went shopping for tricycles this morning. I found a pink radio flyer that looks sort of like a little moped on clearance at Target! I just finished putting it together. It's 70 degrees outside today so we'll test it out after nap. M's birthday is in like 11 days so it's part of her present. :) :cool1:

A little fashion show (including her new bike)

I'm pretty sure I'm taking the red butterfly outfit and the ice cream bar outfit. Heck I'll probably bring all of them. lol

Very cute!! I love all of the outfits! Emily has the pink plaid shorts too!! I'm also glad to see that I'm not the only one with toys EVERYWHERE!! :rotfl:

So cute- I love how she is smiling all the way through the fashion shoot! I can't even get my little one dressed in his outfit for the day without struggling and wrestling with him (hee), never mind changing outifts! :scared1: (last night I tried to put Batman PJ's on him and he wanted his Mickey ones- he SCREAMED and kept tugging them trying to get them off, I think I may have brainwashed him with all this Mickey Stuff!

Yeah I think you did. BUT I'm doing it with underwear so I'm sure we'll get fits about that soon. Oh and she didn't really cooperate that well. I used a lot of bribery. Plus we've been doing "fashion shows" since she was like 6 months old so she's kind of used to it.

Day 11 and 12.
Day 11 is an off day. I have no plans. Maybe we'll do some hotel touring or maybe we'll just hang at the pool. I'm not really a good sit around on vacation all day person so we'll see.

Day 12 is Epcot day. We have the Behind the Seeds tour at 11:15 this day. Eric is not going so he can entertain Madeline. She could go on the tour but I have visions of her trying to yank the plants out of the dirt and/or trying to jump in the water or a boat. :lmao: I told Eric to take her on living with the land while we're in there to see if they see us.

After the tour we'll be spending our time in the World Showcase. It's really a day for my mom. She loves the World Showcase. I might even watch some of those boring movies for her. Maybe we'll try out the kidcot stations and/or Kim Possible. I'm not sure I like Madeline with Sharpies but she might like to try it.

I'm guessing will be done with World Showcase by mid afternoon. Maybe we'll ride a ride or 2 before we leave. Maybe this will be the day we go to Beaches and Cream for some ice cream.

Whatever we do it is a REQUIREMENT that we get back to the condo in time to see the Season Finale of LOST! I also need to ammend my previous Epcot day (also on a Wednesday) to NOT seeing Illuminations. I think we'll come on one of our off night to see Illuminations instead. We can NOT miss LOST!!!

This is our last theme park day. Maybe Eric, Madeline and I will go over to Magic Kingdom the next day to do a couple of fantasy land rides again but maybe not.

We leave bright and early on Friday day 14 of our trip.

Your daughter is so cute! I love her outfits! I want to do a day of resort touring on our next trip. I love seeing all of the details and the themes that Disney does so well.

thank you! I think the resorts I haven't ever toured are CSR, Pop, and Animal Kingdom lodge. When we used to go at Christmas we'd tour all the resorts but that hasn't happened since about 1999 for me.

The ADR saga continues. I had Eric make a call this morning to see if we could get Tusker house for any earlier then 8:25. No such luck at the moment. They told him to call back later. So I'm thinking I'll have him call like once a week and if there is still nothing earlier we'll still arrive earlier and hope they can seat us early. I've heard that Animal Kingdom is the closest park to Windsor hills and it should only take 5 minutes or so to get there. So we can probably take our time getting ready this morning. I think we'll leave the condo 10 minutes before 8am. That means we can probably sleep in til 7am. :rotfl:

Now for the Magic Kingdom the next day our ADR is for 8:10 so I'm thinking we'll leave by 7:15. I'm guessing the Ferry's don't run that early so we'll be taking a monorail over. I think it will be about 15 minutes to the parking lot and then another 20 to get over the MK? Can anyone tell me if I'm estimating correctly?

I'm 98% positive we'll be canceling our 50's prime time lunch. I don't want to spend the money or waste the time. I also don't remember DHS ever closing at 7pm before. Is this a budget cutting thing?

Your plans are so relaxing!! I'm bummed about DHS closing at 7 too! They're usually open 'til 10pm in May, but I think it's one of the cut backs Disney is making. :confused3

It's a shame. If they were open til 10pm I'd definitely go to 50's Prime time.

Lets talk souvenirs. I have a few that I want to get and am open to some other suggestions.
Madeline's Silhouette in Liberty square
Mouse ears
potato head parts
my little pony or lego's
Christmas ornament
Precious moments exclusive to disney world
scrapbook
pins-- flower and garden exclusive

I'm sure there is something else that I'm forgetting but those are the basics.

I have a $50 gift card coming for Sunshine rewards so that should help with some of that stuff.

Good morning everyone. (hopefully some of you are still out there).

There isn't much going on with planning the trip at the moment. BUT I do have a very special 2nd birthday party to plan. Princess Madeline (as she has taken to calling herself) is turning 2 next Sunday. Her party is next Saturday.

She loves Blue's Clues so we decided to do a Blue's Clues theme. Well this is proving MUCH harder then I thought. It seems "they" have stopped making Blue's Clue's party stuff. I was able to find a really cute cake in a cake book at the grocery store but I haven't tried to order it yet. I'm preparing myself for "I'm sorry we no longer make that cake" when I order it in a few days. I found some plates with paw prints and some birthday hats. We'll use plain blue things to fill in the gaps of favors.

I think Eric is going to try to make a blue's clue's game for us to play at the party.

Here are some pictures from Madeline's first birthday.

For souvenirs I always have to get a new Mickey Flag each time we go! We have the Mickey Pumpkin one- and the Easter Egg one (Which I can put up this week!) We love xmas ornaments - You should see my tree - Its LOTS of Mickeys- and we have Tinkerbell on the top. Love it!!!!

When is DHS closing at 7PM? I think while I am there I looked and its always 9? (Is DHS Hollywood Studios?)
