We're not going to WDW this year - yeah right!

How exciting for your whole family to meet Tara. I wish we had a reason to fly through Albany, but I don't foresee that (unless DD picks a college in that area).
You must have just received a new shipment of the reappearing ink! :thumbsup2

Wow...great report pixie...can't wait to hear about what you did when you got there......oh yeah I already know :rotfl:

Great report. Love that you booked POR and end up at BWI with extra days and an entire other trip in Sept with free dining. How cool is that????

I met your Dsister, niece and family on the POR bus to MK a week ago. We were staying at POFQ.

Can't wait to read more.

She told me all about it. :thumbsup2 I was on the phone with her DH when you two were chatting. He told me that she was talking to some other lady from the boards. She said you are so nice. :) Hope you had fun at POFQ!

Hey pd you finally put the paper close enough to the computer that I could read it. Great job so far. Can't wait to read more. I need more details about the airline deals. I have to find a flight out in Jan for my dh and ds to go to bend oregon. They need to find a flight from dtw to richmond or. I am having bad luck here. Oh and a trip to dl for me and the little kiddies. I figure if the guys can go skiing I can go do laundry with cyn. LOL I love to surf for deals. I did awsome for this past vacation. Guess thats why we went for a month. Ok off to read LizzY's TR.

OK so it took me 1 1/2 months to get this next installment up and running....it's like waiting for the next harry Potter Book to come out ---right?

We arrived at MCO and got our car rental from National and we were off to WDW and BWI. Luckily the roads were pretty empty so didn't have to worry about DH's distance from the other cars ahead of us. Although he did drive fast...I think he was trying to find another car to tailgate!

When we approached the gate to WDW we did the countdown that we always do when we reach the gate. Of course we always start too early or to late so it's either a very slooooowwww count down or a very rushed countdown.

We made our way to BWI. DH finds a parking space along side the main entrance (where the parking is reserved for company vehicles...luckily they didn't make us move)

Me: Park right in front and have the bell man bring in our bags.
DH: No it's early, our room's oprobably not ready.
Me: If it's not ready they'll store the luggage until it is ready.
DH: No we'll leave everything here for now ...I'll come get it after.
Me: Fine, but I'm not helping you.

So we all go running into BWI to check in. Me and the 3 DDs go to the front desk and DH goes and sits in a big comfy armchair. (Why don't they go with him? Or better yet why don't I let him check in with the 3 DDs while I sit in the big comfy airchair :confused3)

Check in went smoothly. I had an AP rate but only had the voucher as we hadn't been to a park yet...no problem! they told me just stop by to show them the AP after I got it and Our room was ready! ( We've been very lucky, we always check in hours early and there is always a room ready and waiting for us... Of course a few years ago we checked into CR early and the room that was ready and waiting for us had not yet been vacated by the previous occupant...but that worked out well because they had given us a crappy room and changed us to a castle view :thumbsup2 ) So I sent DH to the car to get the luggage and suggested that he get a bell guy too, and DDs and I went up tp our room. We got a nice room on the third floor over the garden suites, so had a full balcony with nice views of the rose gardens below us! Very quiet and peaceful. I spent alot of down time on the balcony drinking Tara's coffee, but I swear I never saw another sole out on the balconies on our side of the hotel!

Well we staked out our territory.. whio gets what bed etc. and decided to scope out the hotel a bit while we wait for DH and the luggage. As we're leaving the room the phone rings. I missed answering it because the door had shut, but we did have a voicemail from the front desk letting us know that they had our credit card at the front desk and they would hold it for us. So I make the DDs stay in the room incase the bell guy comes and I traipse down to the front desk to get on the end of a long line...thinking, I'll never hear the end of this if Dh hears I left the Credit Card at the desk when checking in! Well who's in line in front of me but DH. I ask what are you doing here? He says oh a guy just grabbed me in the lobby and said "weren't you sitting in that big comfy airmchair while your beautiful wife was putting up with your 3 DDs and checking into the hotel?... She's quite a woman that DW of yours!!! Well I sat in the chair next and I found your credit card. It must have fallen out of your pocket so I turned it in at the front desk you should go get it so that you can buy that stunning wife of yours all sorts of jewels and assorted bonbons!" (ok, maybe I'm paraphrasing just a bit ... poetic license you know!) I guess the important part is that he lost his credit card.... not me!! So of course it was no big deal!

We went to the room, where the bellman had arrived with all of our luggage. We decided to run over to ESPN club for lunch. Lunch was great. I had a pulled pork sandwich. The place was empty and they were taoing a show before a "live audience" . Now I have to tell you that expression always cracked me up....The announcer comes on and says Ladies andd gentlement the foolwing program was taped before a live studio audience. Like what other kind of studio audience is there? I always think that Saturday Night Live should do a skit about a show taped before a "dead studio audience".
It was a cool experience tho! While we were at ESPN DH realized that he didn't have his cell phone! "Oh well, maybe that fell out of my pocket too!" So after lunch, DDs and I did some looking around on the boardwalk, while DH went looking for his phone in the depths of the big comfy airchair! He said a little girl was pulling the phone out of the cushions as he got there! (Does anyone have a smiley of me slappin Dh in the head?)

Well anyway we explored around the hotel a bit and thenm went to the room to rest a bit. Girls ( that includes me!!!) :yay: :yay: :yay: were anxious to go to a park or the pool or somethin. So we didn't rest for long!

I tell the kids "ok you can go swimming for a little while" That of course is the cue for the afternoon torrential downpour to begin. I tell the kids don't worry these only last about 20 minutes. So we wait another hour while it continues to pour and I then say "well the park should be empty now, lets go downstairs to the giftshop and buy rain ponchos and make our way to the magic kingdom" Mind you we have about 7,948 Mickey Mouse rain ponchos at home, but as you can tell... I never pack them. We just buy new ones every year!

With everything we need in hand... ponchos, Ap vouchers, id (credit card ...cellphone) we go down to the lobby to get our car from valet services. Dh gives them our ticket and we wait....and wait....and wait.... Other people come to get their cars long after we get there and leave as we stand around and wait.... and wait....and wait. One car sits out front forever just waitng for it's people to come and drive it away. We think about just taking that one :rolleyes1 Finally DH goes over to valet booth to inquire as to when the *&#$% we'll be getting our car and they say it's right there it's been here about 15 or 20 minutes and point to the car that is waiting for peeps....Nope, that's not our car! So they have some poor slob run throught the pouring rain to go get our car. He quickly brings it back and we're off! We went to the amgic kingdom because we always go there first. Main Street must be my first experience every trip. I just have to look at the castle, smell the popcorn and those other distinctly Main Street USA smells and have my little weepy moment because we're back!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

We trade in our vouchers for APS and we're off to Main Street! First stop Pirates of the Caribbean which had opened the week before. The movie was opening in Theatres that day! The wait really wasn't too bad. I think it said it was about 20 minutes long..but that it was actually shorter...hard to remember details like this when you write your TR 2 1/2 months after you get home (with another trip to WDW in between) But I remember that because of the rain the park was pretty empty and we really did not have to wait on any long lines!

We stayed at Mk until it closed at Midnight stomping through puddles and rain. It was wonderful! Remember, I had been up since 3:30 that morning, but had that WDW adreneline rush going! We rode on tons of rides... Went on TTA when we absolutely needed a break to rest our legs. Rode on Pirates again...I think we ate at Cosmic Rays that night...It's our kids favorite!
We didn't see NSalz and family that day because they had gone to Tampa to watch the Yankees play. ( Oh did you guys here...the yankees are out of the playoffs but the Amazin' METS are still in it!!!! -GO METS!!!!)

After MK we dragged our weary bodies back to BWI and easily fell asleep in their very comfortable beds!!!

Now it's getting late here so I think I have to go sleep in my comfortable bed here, so I can get up for work in the am!

What is it with husbands' pockets? Maybe your DH and mine need man-purses!

I did hear that because they were beat by my beloved team, the Tigers! Go Detroit Tigers!! And may the one Yankee that died yesterday in that plane crash (I think his name is Coriell) rest in peace.

Anyways, I am glad you did not forget about us !

Part 3

Ok so we’re good to go. :thumbsup2 Have airline and hotel ressies, DDE and APs, time to make some ADRs! I asked the kidlets where they would like to eat. They were each allowed to pick one meal. LizzY picked Chef Mickeys ::MickeyMo , WinniethePooh93 picked Crystal Palace pooh: , and Tinkerbelle 1024 picked CRT princess:for breakfast. I knew that Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace would be easy enough to get but was pretty concerned about CRT both for availability and for $$$$$. So I told Tink that I’d do my best but that there might not be any openings for CRT. That night I discussed this meal with DH. It’s the most expensive breakfast we’ll ever eat, but this is the summer between elementary school and middle school for Tink and I think so much magic ends once the kids start Middle School. Tink loves the princesses, but who knows how long this will last…may be our last chance! We decide to go for it and I cross my fingers that we’ll get that ADR.

The next morning, I call CRO at 7am. The first thing I ask for is CRT breakfast, amazingly it is available for 8:10 on the Friday morning of our trip!!! pixiedust: Book it. Also got ADRs Spoodles for Sunday night, Chef Mickeys for Thursday night (with Nsalz and family), Crystal Palace for lunch on Monday (also with Nsalz and family). I also made an ADR for Prime Time Café for lunch on Tuesday, because everyone in my family wanted to go back there! Figured the rest of vaca we’d wing it because I don’t like to be overscheduled!

By this time I’ve become a member of the Secret Green Club :thumbsup2 :grouphug: so all I really had left to do was go to HD and do some major swipin’ of the DISer version of gold... the LGMHPCs!!!! Went to a couple of different HDs to get my stash!

Well, at the beginning of June, I get an e-mail from SouthWest about $59.00 specials from ALB to MCO for our dates and continuing right into October. I was pretty bummed until DBil tells me I can change my ressies if my flight is available and get the $59.00 rate and a credit for future flights! So I go on the site, find out my flights are available (I actually had to keep checking back during the special, because the first few times the flights were not available). Well I’m paranoid that I am going to mess this up and end up with no ressies, so I called Southwest and have the Southwest CM walk me through the process. Get the flights plus $40.00 credit on each flight, each way. I originally planned to use the credits next April when LizzY’s band is playing in the parade at MK, but it turns out the credits were only good until the end of February. The credit is good for a year from your original booking, not a year from your flight.

Well only one thing to do in a case like this! DDs have a long weekend off from school the last weekend in Sept/first weekend in October. Flights were $59.00 through the middle of October…..so I booked a vaca from Sept 28 – Oct. 2. Free Dining, and after the credit was applied, only had to pay $19.00 each way for each person on the flight! We’ll be staying at POR. Very cool! Two Disney vacations booked! :cheer2: :cloud9: :cheer2:

So, let me let this sink in... hmmmmm first, you are not going,100% not going. Now, 3 times in 12 months... NICE:thumbsup2

Oh, by the way... you lured me here with a post on the front page of trip reports. And, I find out you are another dragger out er... man, no wonder you and UtahMama get along so well:rotfl2: .

Well it looks like I am late to the party... but, I am all caught up!!:dance3:

WRITE ON sweet Pixie.. Write on!!
