We're lonely...everyone's gone on Break

For a town of 140,000, it is like a ghost town right now. My kids are going stir crazy already. They keep asking why we aren't somewhere exotic like their friends.... some are away for the umpteenth time...one girl is in Hawaii for her 8 th trip...she is 14! WDW, Bahamas, AZ, CA, Cruises...boy there sure isn't a shortage of travelers here. I need to move. And this isn't an odd year...it is like this every spring. I can't even get away with the "we just visited Grandma in Fl over Xmas" speech as these same kids were living it up on trips then too, and over the presidents break. Anyone else up against this? At least the sun is out, and we walked the dog along the trail. Maybe get to the zoo mid week if the weather holds up. I guess I am pouting. We have been pretty lucky to do the travels we have done in the past.

I swear, if you went to the middle of our town and shouted "Hello" you would get an echo! Luckily, DD is only just about 4yo and isn't in to the whole "well, such and such gets to go, why can't I?" bit.

Actually, it is kind of nice, no waiting for machines at my gym! Unfortunately, the weather is supposed to stink here the rest of the week, cold and rainy, so no Brookfield Zoo for us like I planned, I guess we will go to the mall so she can play with all the other squirrely kids.

Oh no! We're in Chicago too! There goes our B Zoo plans.. looks like another spring break at the movie theater....but that adds up real quick too...$30 at least. I better get out and enjoy the rest of today then....I hope the forecast changes!

it isn't spring brak here yet, but it will be soon, and almost everyone I know i making plans for cruses, and trips to WDW, Aruba, California...bacially anywhere but here...oh well, i just got home from WDW a few days ago, so I am a bit traveled out, and glad to be staying home.....
