April sixteenth, we got to my sons house in my daughters mini van......six of us from Lewiston to Portland.......we unloaded our van and Mermaid Transportation picked up all eight of us and took us the ten miles to the airport......Check in was fast and the lines for security were horrendous......it took a while to get through.....I naturally had to get scanned and looked over again.....geesh.....I am starting to get paranoid.......same security lady that scanned me last September...We took off exactly on time via Continental Airlines.....our first time flying with them.....we arrived at Newark and then had a small layover.....we left on time and landed in Orlando ten minutes early .......We were met by marco of Tiffanys Transport and we loved having that convenience of not waiting ......he helped us with our luggage and went and got the big van......He was very pleasant and fun to chat with on our trip to the Dolphin...check in was smooth and easy .....we called the Dolphin the day before and they rented us a wheelchair for my mother in law.....it was right there and no problems with it at all.....Our rooms were on the fourth floor and we had a two bedroom suite.....it was huge and well maintained .......everyone was happy with our accomodations.....First thing on the agenda was FOOD.....we went down to Tubbies and got our refillable cups and had lunch.....a wee bit late ...we got our AP passes for husband and myself and the rest got length of stay passes.......

Our first trip naturally was to Epcot.....didn't want to go to far....getting up at three am is not my favorite thing to do ......Loved the conveience of the Boats to Epcot and MGM studios.......it worked out well......we sort of just walked around and enjoyed the sites and had a snack .......was in bed by nine pm and zonked for the night......

Wednesday the 17th
breakfast at tubbies with our MK card also had a 20% off.....good deal
When the rest of the family had breakfast....we went to the AK......Everyone loves to go there....we did the safari first off and had a great viewing of alot of animals.......it was almost ten o clock am.....and the animals were out......and it was also warm......so....seeing animals is a chance you take......we sort of walked the Animal lanes and the kids and grandkids went to Kali River Rapid ride.....we all met at Restaurantasaurus for lunch.......their Chicken Ceasar Salads were fantastic.....the group sort of split up......hubby and I took MIL and waited for the parade.....we had a good spot in the SHADE and ate an ice cream.....got it somewhere there and it was humungous....HUGE.....must of been a pint of ice cream on that cone.....had to get a dish too....ROFL....we went back to the Dolphin after the parade was over and vegged for a few.......we went swimming and hot tubbed our tired feet and legs.....this is the life.....

The rest of the family showed up and we got ready to go to Epcot.....I pushed the button on the elevator and the doors opened and low and behold there is TVT and Pandy......what a joy to see Pandy again.....we left and went to the Land for supper......their linquini and marinara sauce was excellent.....we stayed to see the fireworks and the dear mosquitoes made a feast on my legs and my daughter in laws......funny how they like us!! we took a walk back to the hotel and stopped at the Boardwalk convienence store.......this is a well equipped place.....got a few bananas for my mil to keep on her person....in case she needs a quick snack.......back to the hotel and to bed......Having fun is alot of work.....plus 95 degrees is HOT HOT HOT

Great start. Thanks for posting. I've been off line due to modem problems and was getting itchy to get back to the Dis. Your report was the fix I needed.

Thanks for posting, Pumba! It sounds like you enjoyed your first two days in WDW. :)
