Your narrator for the duration of this journey will be me, the lucky groom:

I'm Sean, and I'm a Disney-holic. Who knew it would come to this? Who knew that after going to WDW for the past three years, with some trips to Disneyland mixed in between, that I still wouldn't be able to get enough of all things Disney? I'm especially partial to the ridiculously indulgent, amazing food. :D Luckily my parents bought into DVC, and seem to enjoy taking us, so I'll have plenty of oppurtunities to gain 20lbs over the course of a week.

The Bride? She's Christina, and she's kinda amazing.

This will be the third year in a row of enjoying WDW with her, and it's just getting better and better. Who knew I'd find someone not only willing to tolerate my obsession with Disney, but to actually partake in it? I must have done something right in a past life..

Next up, a little backstory...

Both of us have been to Disney prior to meeting each other. In fact, here's me as a roly poly little ten year old meeting the man himself:

We went together for the first time two years ago. It was an amazing trip, and one that we had the chance to relive this past January.

We're getting married on December 1st, and had originally planned for the typical tropical-type honeymoon (specifically in Mazatlan, Mexico.) One day on our trip in January, I jokingly remarked "Let's just honeymoon here!" At that moment we both had an epiphany. What started as a joke turned into reality, and now we're spending two weeks in Orlando for what will surely be an amazing (and ridiculously photodocumented) honeymoon.

What's that? You want details about our upcoming trip? Ask and you shall recieve!

Coming up!

:wave2: Count me in! Can't wait to read the details of your Disneymoon!

Early congrats!

Congrats! How exciting!! Subbing in on our PTR!! My husband and I shared our first Disney trip ever in 2008 - and it was our honeymoon as well :cloud9:

Thanks!

Trust me, there's going to be an ridiculous amount of pictures taken. There will be tons of food porn to look forward to. :thumbsup2

:yay:

You two look so good together! Can't wait for more details. ;)

As I said, the wedding is on December 1st.

We'll be flying out on the afternoon of the 2nd. We'll be checking into Wyndham Bonnet Creek from Dec 2nd-Dec 14th. It's the first time for us staying off site, but I'm thinking that due to how close it is to the center of the Disney-verse, we'll be ok. Plus we get a full kitchen, and shuttle service to and from Disney!

You're all going to be subjected to ridiculous amounts of pictures from the following restauarants also (the ones starred indicate that ADRs have been made. Since we are staying off site, I have to do this one day at a time, and my 180 mark started yesterday!!)

Ohana* (breakfast and dinner)
California Grill* (dinner)

Le Cellier (lunch) Reservation tentatively made for Les Chefs de France since Le Cellier hasn't been released yet..

Kona Cafe (breakfast)
Jiko (dinner)
Biergarten (lunch)
Trails End (dinner)
Raglan Road (dinner)

I'll update the ADRs as I make them, because we all know how important the dining experience is to the Disney vacation. We're doing 'Ohana as our "welcome to the world" dinner since it's one of our must do restaurants. On that note, here's a picture of me enjoying an entire order of the bread pudding.

I can not POSSIBLY eat enough of that stuff (although I've certainly tried.)

Ohhh... You KNOW I had to come over here and follow along.

But seriously, awesome story so far and can't wait to read more.

PS: There were a bunch of Phillies fans at the bar I work at last week. They were a rowdy yet fun bunch.

I've been reading yours as well. Why do I have the feeling that our paths will cross at some point...? :lmao:

We can get a little crazy, but we're generally good people (always exceptions to that rule of course..)

Thanks!

I was looking through your trip report. How awesome to be able to surprise your kids with a trip. We've talked about how amazing it's going to be when we can do that the morning of when we have kids of our own.

I think that is a pre-ordained fact. But only fun things can happen when you put 2 Sean's in the same 20 sq mile radius.

Just ask Santa Claus ;)

I love me a good Disneymoon PTR! Even though you are from Philly (Chicago Bulls fan here), I will just have to join in but only because it is a Disneymoon. DH and I were actually just in Philly this past May for a wedding and we went to the Sixers-Bulls game for the playoffs..quite the experience I must say. There were times I feared for my life. :rotfl:

Seriously though, you guys make a lovely couple, congrats on your upcoming wedding. Great ADR choices--O'Hana, Le Cellier, and Cali Grill are all favorites of ours. You'll never leave hungry with those choices! Can't wait to hear more! :goodvibes

A PTR with a Disneymoon at the end?? Count me in!!:yay::yay:

You guys make a real cute couple.

Sean and Sean vs the entirety of the Canadian nation? :thumbsup2

And also..

GIVE IT UP ALREADY!

Haha, I'm sure it was a peaceful time. People here are known for their hospitality towards opposing teams/fans. :lmao:

Thanks! Ohana and Cali Grill are two "must do's" for us. We've had nothing but amazing experiences there in the past. Le Cellier however is new for us, and I'm pretty excited.

Subbing in!! We'll be there during most of your Disneymoon!!! Will look forward to seeing more of your plans for the next 6 months!! Looks like we have some of the same dining choices too!! Have you started making your ADR's yet?? I get to wake up at 3am to do them online this coming Sunday!!

I have actually. I woke up at 6am yesterday to get our 'Ohana reservation, it's the first meal of our trip.

Tomorrow morning I'm doing the same for California Grill. Since we aren't staying at a WDW resort I have to do this day by day. It'll be worth it. :cool1:

Oh, that's right!! With us living on the West Coast....I'm glad we're staying onsite so I only have to do this once.......lol :rotfl2:
