We're In Florida,,,Wish You Were Here !

Good morning Cheryl,,,
HEY ! I betcha know these folk !!

And of course we can't leave out the children,,

Another fishing morning, Bay Lake. Notice I said "fishing" and not "catching".

I kinda get the impression that the comfort stations were either built for or by the Amish from the signs posted outside the doors,

This is my least favorite loop, there is nothing wrong with the loop itself, it's just a loop inside a loop and I have vertigo,

And here I sit, enjoy'n some of that new Joffreys coffee that I like so well

can ya guess which porch I'm sittn on ?

Ya'll hava awesome day I'll tak atcha soon !

Frank made him a sign for this trip.

Good morning Fort friends !!
Got the day off today, holiday ya know (we work for the state) .
So when we got back from the Fort one of these guys decided to come to Tennessee and visit his distance cousins,

while unpacking he ran out from a little fridge (that we keep outside when we camp) and ran into our garage.
Hope he survives, gotta nuther artic blast head'n this way.

These are a couple horsey pics from trails rides for the bigger kids that they offer at the Fort,

And these are soma the smaller horsery's they offer for the adults that are still to be (for the children ya'll,,the children).

Can ya believe that this pony was BORN with this !!!
Nah, me neither,

Ya'll hava great day.

Oops, RIP Florida lizard. I guess conditions weren't right in our garage. :sad1:

Can ya believe that this pony was BORN with this !!!
Nah, me neither,

But this Cow really was born with this Mickey head on it's side,

Minnie Moo was born 1986 and lived to the ripe old age of 15, before passing away of natural causes in August of 2001.
Minnie Moo has a special place in the hearts of guests who visited her at Tri-Circle D.

The pics of the Old River Country brought back tons of memories for me....loved that place as a child. Kinda makes me sad that Disney has just let that area go, but it's really cool to see the remains of the place. By the way, you've snapped some GREAT shots!!!

Heather

oh, the poor lizard.

:sad2:

i never went to see the horses this trip. that is something i like to do. got anymore blue sky pics.. i need something to remind of what the warm (er) weather is like. it's just too darn cold up here!

Frank,

I want to know why those big Fort Fish aren't jumping on my hooks.

I use Oscar Mayer bologna.

I use Ball Park Franks hot dogs. (nothing but the best).

There HAS to be some reason why I am so unsuccessful.

Other than me being me, I mean. :confused3

Bama Ed

PS - hey, the wood Musket Mickey looks FANTASTIC.

Ed, either yer not talk'n to the fish right, or ya need to be fish'n with me, :lmao:
I also have a fish call that I use, it goes something like this,,
"Here fishy , fishy Here fishy, fishy!"
It takes finesse when call'n but I managed to learn it.
Thanks, :thumbsup2 I really enjoy making signs.(hobby)

Blue sky pics, hmmm, will this help ?

Remember this Blue Sky when we going round the resorts,, :goodvibes

So one beautiful and warm day in the sunny land of Florida while at the second most magical place on earth, The Fort, (Magic Kingdom being the First) 4mickey2 and I and Mrs. I were looping when I saw what was potentially a raised dirt bank to a canal (for future fishing) , upon investigation it turned out to be part of the old (overly grown with thicket) railroad system in the Fort.

And then we thought How cool would it be to have a railroad tie in your home THAT WALT DISNEY RODE ON !!!!!
But Walt never rode on that railroad, so we just left the dirty rotting bug infested ties lay'n there. But it's still pretty cool to go and look at, :thumbsup2

And who ever say's it doen't snow in Florida has it wrong, somebody made these didn't they !?!?

And look at this tree, snow all over it so they just decorated it,

I just thought this was a interesting tree that needed to seen by the public

Now I'm gonna start looking for the rest of the alphabet.

And here's a selfie I took while on vacation, guess which one I am.

Great morning Fort friends !
Got us another cooold day here in middle Tennessee, okay, enough of this global warming crap,,I'm ready for spring, I am just not gonna even think about fish'n when its in the single digets.

Any one guess where this pic was taken,

Okay, this pic wasn't taken at Disney, but she was so darn excited about going all she wanted to do was wear her Mickey Ears,

These were flowers growing about 60 feet up oinna tree down by the lake, thought they were pretty,

Warmer weather pics,

A sleep in the sun, she really likes to buggy ride,

And this is the hill that we usta unload our buggy from the back of our truck till Disney got ugly about it (and put up a fence), I think they really should hava spot with a hill for folk to unload buggies after all it's not like they don't have the space.

Ya'll hava WARM day !

Oh, the memories of the Fort steam train - our children loved it (us too).

I hate change! :headache:

:offtopic: (but on changes) we still miss the Coral Isle Cafe in the Polynesian - would go there from the campground for breakfast with our children. It was reasonably priced (for Disney) and we all loved it.

Ah yes, the memories,,,,seems like we was there just a month ago.
Oh wait, we were !!
Still feels like forever already, :(
Maybe we should try soma this medicine to get us over the Fort blues,

How bout some random pics,,

welp, I reck'n it's time to get to werk, talk atcha'll later.
Going to the RV show this weekend, maybe that'll help us get over the Fort blues.
naaah, I'll just wanna buy another RV, :goodvibes

Wow Frank. Thanks for sharing a picture of this. They didn't just put up one section or two-looks like they had endless fence budget to get this blocked off.

Our camp (not at Disney) has a ramp, that's easy to back up to, for unloading from a truck. It'd be an easy thing to have put in somewhere. Maybe if enough people suggest, it'll happen.

Respectfully, I disagree.

Disney wants revenue from their golf cart rentals. They view off-site rentals or those brought from home as lost revenue. So anything they can do make non-Disney rentals less successful or enjoyable is what they will directly do (while saying all the usual guest platitudes).

I agree that earthen mounds build adjacent to the hitch-unhitch turouts would be easy and convenient to provide but that's NOT what they're in the business of. Their actions (see the new fence) speak louder than words.

I thought that just after I finished typing. I thought to edit, but left it alone. You're right BamaEd.

My thoughts go toward the liability of someone getting hurt. People hold Disney responsible for everything. Just saying.
