We're in Disney World STOP FIGHTING! Updated 9/14 [PTR Link]

[hi! My mom showed me this report and I am having so much fun reading it so far! You're vacation sounds like so much fun! You're doing a great job writing and I can't wait to read more! :thumbsup2

I'm loving reading you TR!!!

We are planning a trip for December 2011, and are debating between Contemp or Poly!!! Which did you prefer? I read where you've done both. My niece 16 and nephew 15 will be with us, so you have a better perspective on what they would like then I do.

Very good updates Sara. Enjoyed your first day. That is the best part. Getting all settled and making it to a park to enjoy that magical day.

I personally prefer the Poly. But, I do like the Contemp a lot. The Poly had a cool pool, an awesome room, the Hawaiian theme was amazing, the beach was sooo cool, and the Poly is right next to the Ticket&Trans. Center. It appealed a lot to kids/teens. The only bad thing is the lighting... which I dont think your niece and nephew would care too much about.

The Contemporary was nice, having the monorail run through the building was sooo cool, the pool was okay, the rooms were brightly lit, the rooms were really cool decorated, there was a computer in the room (the Poly doesnt have a computer). cons were little things teens wouldnt care about :]

I would pick the Poly, I think your niece and nephew would enjoy it the most!

Great Update! Keep 'em coming!

Of course ;]

The first day is the best part, isn't it? :]

Just found your report - very well written. Can't wait to read more.

Thank you!

Well, I was going to update today, and I had typed the whole thing up on here, with all the pictures- then something went totally wrong with the website and deleted all my work. It took me a while to type it all up and I dont feel like doing it all again, I'll probably update tomorrow, but for now I'll Do another 'A little extra' this time Polynesian Edition

Rating (1-10):
D-9
M-9
S-9
DB11-9
DB9-8

Thoughts:
M- Very pretty
S- Love the beaches and the themeing
DB9- Contemporary Resort is better, in my opinion

Pros:
-beaches
-theme
-pool
-interactions with kids
-food
-location

Cons:
-dim lighting
-something goes wrong with our room... wait to find out...

Ending Statement:
The Polynesian Resort is wonderful, I loved pretty much everything about it and it's the best resort we have ever stayed at, in my opinion. Captain Cooks was great, 'Ohana was the BEST, all around it was amazing. You felt like you were in Hawaii- almost :]

Up next:
A little extra: France edition

I am enjoying reading about your trip. You are a very talented writer.
You must have wonderful parents to take you on a great trip like this.

I thought you were going to say something like "your father seems like an awesome guy" or something.

Yes, my parents are wonderful ;]

Loving the TR!! I got to stay at the Poly once when I was your age. It is a magical resort. I've never been to Hawaii but I'm assuming it's pretty close!! My fam debated staying there for our visit in Dec since I can still get 50% off but we chose WL (again!) which was $20 cheaper a night..in my opinion $20 extra a day for the monorail and location is worth it but my dad felt WL feels more like Xmas, I guess he is right!!

Can't wait to read more!!!!

Thank you!

I've never stayed at WL, but lots of people say its nice at Christmas, I hope you have a lot of fun on your vacation!

Great report! Love the pics. Looking forward to reading the rest. I think it's good to see WDW from a kid's point of view. Keep up the good work!

The WL is sooo lovely at Christmas! The tree in the lobby is HUGE and so beautifully decorated. As a matter of fact, there are Christmas trees EVERYWHERE and its cabiny feeling. I just love the WL .

Wow, that's so cool :] It sounds so pretty!

Yes, it is. I hope I get to go again during that time of year. I hope you do, too!

I'm going to eventually in my life- wait and see!

I am all ready for more please.

I havent been in the mood lately, because I was so mad yesterday that my work had been erased because of a malfunction with the system... and I have still been a little irritated still, because who wants to type the same thing two times!? But, I'll do an update, I'm more in the mood now :]

:woohoo: Glad you feel like an update now. I'm having Disney withdrawals .

I learned after a couple of times of the system timing me out that I have to copy my work before I try to submit it. That way, if I lose it, all I have to do is copy and paste. But you kids are way more computer savvy than me, so I figure you probably already knew that!

Well, now after my little irritation, I am ready to start back up!

So I woke up at about 9:00am and ate breakfast in the room. I let my mom do my braids, which is an honor, because NOBODY touches my hair, I love it too much :] While my mom was braiding my brothers went out to play volleyball and pretty much TORCHERED me! Let me tell you a little story... when we went to WDW in January for two days we went to the Polynesian to check it out and my brothers and I saw a volleyball net and ever since then I've wanted play volleyball on the beaches of the Poly... so that was a wonderful falshback!

When my brothers came back my mom, Joel, and I went to the Great Ceremonial House and got postcards for our family.

We came back to the room and walked over to the Ticket&Trans. Center and got on the monorail to EPCOT

Then we saw the MAGICAL "golf ball" I call it a golfball, deal with it ;]

While walking over to Test Track we saw these guys:

THE JAMMITORS :rockband:

We got FP's for Test Track:car:
Then got on Figment!

We then walked though the countries and stopped when we saw another bunch of performers...

I wanted to eat lunch in China and so did my dad but my mom, Jonathan, and Joel wanted to have Mexican food so my dad and I ordered shrimp fried rice from Lotus Blossom Cafe and my mom took my DBs over to Mexico and would then bring their food back over to China. So my dad and I got our food and started eating when I realized I DONT HAVE THE CAMERA! I left it in my mom's bag which she had with her over in Mexico! So i had to wait to eat the rest of my food until she came back, just so I could take a picture of it for you guys :] So I had to pick at my food for about 15 minutes until my mom came back with the camera. So she FINALLY came back and I took my wonderful pictures of food:
Joel's kid nachos and churro
IMG_3087.jpg

My mom's everything nachos
IMG_3088.jpg

And my shrimp fried rice with an egg roll (my dad had the same thing)
IMG_3089.jpg

Jonathan jsut had a churro- that kid hardly eats anything!

Well we were sitting down eating the rest of our lunch when it started POORING. Uh oh! This was a major problem because my dad had left the laptop out on the balcony so the people watching his webcam thing could see the view and what not... well he didnt want it getting soaked, did he? So my dad and Jonathan took one of our bags we were carrying and ran off in the POORING rain to the monorail and back to the Poly (dont worry everything was safe and dry!). So my mom, Joel, and I finished our lunch and went over ot Norway to go on Maelstorm. And we hit the giftshop there:

IMG_3097.jpg

Then we stopped by MouseGears where Joel got this SUPER stylish hat:
IMG_3117.jpg

And I got a 'Sara' necklace that is TOO cute!
And a cute ears headband thing:
IMG_3115.jpg

My mom got an ornament and a magnent

We took the monorail back to Ticket&Trans. Center and walked back to the Poly. Then back to the room where we were greeted by our first towel animal:

AN ELEPHANT!
