We're home

Hi everyone - thanks for the welcomes :cool1: Now it's sunny again I feel much better being home. Obviously not quite as hot as over in Florida, but it'll have to do :sunny:

Yep, Deb - Darryl is now a certified coaster junkie. It all started with a trip to a Disney store at an outlet mall in Fort Myers - they had this really psychadelic (sp?!) shirt with R&RC on the front. I knew Darryl really wanted to go on this, if he got over his fear, so I promised him if he rode it I would buy him the T-Shirt. He started off gently on Scorpion at Busch, twice, loved it and then there was no stopping him ;) Next was R&RC - he loved it so much we did it three times in a row and then he wanted to go on his own while Katie and I were on ToT :scared1: , but the line has shot up and the fastpass wait was just as bad, so didn't bother. Next was the Mummy in US one evening (just such a cool ride), and then he'd geared himself up ready to go on Hulk. Again, three times in a row, literally :) There's no stopping him now, Alton Towers beckons again :teeth:

Mrs Dazzle - we arrived back yesterday on the VS016 - was that the flight you were on, we did not notice any grumpy staff at check on either leg, but they were really busy Thurs morn at DTD and the plane was full, we were in PE but did not notice anything different about the entertainment system so what is V-port!!!
Hi Snookhams, welcome home too! We flew on VS16 the day before and yes, it was pretty busy at DTD, but I don't think should excuse "customer service" people being just downright miserable and rude; the cabin crew were great both legs. V:Port is the one where you can operate your own movies - 50 available - you can start them whenever you want (like your very own DVD player)l; pause, rewind, fast forward. It was great. You can also choose CDs to play, I had a great hour with David Bowie :smooth:

Wicket - I think you've hit the nail on the head about there being only seat belts in ToT. I'm on the large side and couldn't believe "just" seat belts would be holding me in - and didn't really know exactly what would be happening before the ride. However, given my size against some of our larger American friends, those seat belts really do hold you in, so don't let my comments put off anyone who wants to give this ride a go. Katie absolutely loved it, but because mum chickened out on a second ride, she didn't want to do it on her own (although she does everything else on her own. . . .).

Lots more to tell, I'm sure, but still can't get the brain to function properly
