Hey all,

I just wanted to quickly post while I had a minute. We had a fantastic time and absolutely loved WDW and the Fort!! :cheer2: We were so busy that we didn't have much time to enjoy the Fort this trip, but are planning on staying for 10 days on our next trip. I'm in the process of writing my trip report, and will be posting it soon. I took 1500 pics while we were gone, so I'll have a few to post with my report. Thanks to all of you for your planning help....it made all the difference!! :lovestruc

welcome back! I'm glad you had a great time! Yep, one week just isn't long enough, is it?

I'm looking forward to those pics! :goodvibes

Yeah!!! Glad you had a safe trip!! I love pics. Hope your a scrapbooker.

Yep, I am!! Who else would ever take 1500 pictures for a vacation? :lmao: Everyone was making fun of me about my constant picturing taking, but I got some awesome pics! 513 of them were at the MK alone on our last day. ;)

Welcome back! So have you planned your next trip yet!!:lmao: DH and I plan ours on the way home from the current trip. We are crazy like that! I am glad you had a blast. I think Disney is the best vacation, people think I am crazy, but I honestly do. My family comes together, and we laugh, and really "regroup". We need it at least once a year. Have fun scrapbooking. I'm not much of a scrapbooker, but I think I am going to try it this time. I usually take all our pics, and make a DVD slideshow to Disney music. Which we watch over and over. But I have seen some really cute things to put in the scrapbooks and it has made me want to try. We will see what I come up with.

Nicole, you should definitely scrap your Disney pics. For me scrapbooking is such a fantastic hobby, and a creative outlet...plus everyone benefits from looking thru the albums and remembering all the fun times. :thumbsup2 We don't have exact dates for our next trip, but know it will be in about a year and a half. We're going to Phoenix at Thanksgiving this year and have a 10 day camping trip planned to Mount Rushmore for next June/July. So Disney will have to wait until around fall of 2009. :sad2: I would LOVE to be going back sooner, but neither time nor finances will allow it. I think our next trip will be for about 7 days and we'll stay in one of the moderate resorts. The next camping trip at FW will be for 10 days and will have to be planned way in advance. Probably not until 2010. God, that sounds sooooo far away!

Mount Rushmore sounds fun!! We would like to get to the Grand Canyon. The problem is having the time. With the girls in school we are limited. I keep trying to talk them into homeschooling, but they just laugh at me.:confused3

I told my DH, once they are in college we are upgrading to a MH and hitting the roads!!:lmao:

I'm with you girlfriend! :lmao: My hubby and I were talking about "one day" when we will own a big MH. I could never homeschool, but their school calendar is certainly a time-buster. I think for our next trip to Disney we will pull them out for a few days and they can do homework on Epcot and all the different countries. Found some really great ideas on that on a website I was using. :goodvibes

I'm looking forward to your trip report and pictures :) I felt the same way after our first trip....we didn't have enough "Fort Days" so our next trip half of our time will be just for the Fort :thumbsup2

Just watch out for the "post fort blues", I spent so much time here, and planning, when it was done, I felt like there was something missing. My cure was to start my website.

I wish my next trip could just be all "fort time", but dont think my 5 yr old would stand for not going to the parks. We were there for 11 days, and I feel like we could have used 20 more.

The Mt. Rushmore trip sounds awesome. We did a 10 day trip from Salt Lake City up through Logan Canyon, Bear Lake, Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. Can't wait to do that again sometime. While we were out there, a lot of folks were going through Yellowstone on their way to the Mt. Rushmore area for the annual Harley event. Lots of nice cruising machines, big groups of bikers on tour.

If you're out in that direction, a good long overnight trip would get you to the Grand Tetons which I would highly recommend. Most enjoyable hike of my life was taken there when my oldest was 14. Cascade Canyon Trail takes you up in behind the view seen from Jenny Lake and you can take the north fork trail up to Lake Solitude. Bring a water filter and enjoy some nice cold mountain water!

I am in the throws of "disney blues" altogether and wish we would have had at least 5 more days. Then again, who ever wants to go home from a vacation? :confused3 :lmao: We will do some parks again on our next trip, and then whenever our next fort trip is, we'll have lots of time to spending chillin' there. :hippie:

I just looked in my folder from our trip June last year and I have 1257 pics that I took myself. Then add the 695 that my 2 daughters took with their cameras.

We took 2400 in 4 days in July of last year it was our first DW trip. My wife loves to take pics.

With the pics that I also downloaded from our friends camera, they were travelling with us, that adds an additional 753 pics to choose from. Yay!! I just ordered a bunch of Disney scrapbooking stuff today and can't wait to get started this Sunday. :lovestruc

My wife had to order those also. She just got a new canon 40 D with a 2.8 ap lense no telling how many we will get in may 2 different cameras and a video cam .
