When did you win the extra hour? We were just there and got the extra hour on 5/1. I wonder if we were there at the same time!! We actually rode POTC alone - I'm talking no one in the 3 boats ahead or 3 boats behind - at first it was really cool. Then I started to get creeped out! LOL!

The cool thing about our "win" was that it wasn't actually a win. We were entering the park and a girl approached us with the passes they had won that they couldn't use and asked if we wanted them. OF COURSE! It was definitely one of the coolest moments of our trip.

Re the grocery delivery. I'm not sure if it worked because we slipped through the cracks and no one double checked, or if it worked because no one cared that we used the wrong address....
I simply filled in the delivery address as the hotel, and used the zip code of the hotel as the billing zip code as well. I expected to get to the hotel to find that they had discovered that it was not my billing address for my visa, but the hotel address, but when we returned from dinner our first night, we found the hotel staff stocking our fridge with our groceries! It went off without a hitch!!

I think that we will give it a try that way and see what happens. I haven't forsure decided yet. DH works for Safeway and I am trying to figure out if it would be worth the taxi fare to go and get his discount, or just order them online. I hate all of these decisions

Holy cow - we WERE there that night!! It was our second day at the park - thursday night, to be exact! How cool is that!! We were the only ones in there with a double stroller and 3 kids!!! Everyone kept making fun of us cause we were trying to conga with everyone else, but it was kinda tough to do in the crowd with the stroller!!!

When we did POTC we were the only ones on too - it was kinda creepy - all alone in that huge boat - it kind of added to the experience though, cause there was no one to take you out of the mood, ykwim?

I actually don't remember what Carm did for groceries, but did you see that other post about using a prepaid giftcard for groceries. Problem for non-US citizens is that there's no postal code spot, just zip code, for billing address for credit cards. So it's hard for non-US people to have them delivered. But the other Dis'er found that just using a prepaid card, and using the hotel for billing and delivery address, worked. (vons.com and albertsons.com are the ones usually mentioned; vons = safeway if you've heard of safeway)


I totally missed the mention of the after hours passes! Even luckier!

OK OK so Canada has Safeway! I'm always too busy wishing I lived in Vancouver to do anything wild (or helpful if one is thinking of moving there) like go shopping.

Dunno why there are two names, though...it's just in Southern CA...Northern CA where I grew up just has Safeways!


davidsprincess, tell your hubby to tell the bigwigs that I love love LOVE the O Organics line, and they must continue with it. LOVE it. (well, except for the pasta sauce, that's nasty, but everything else I love)
