If you are planning on coming for Turkeyday....pack some extra layers. It is cold and there is a big run on all the fleece wear in the gift shops. Hard to find hats and gloves for the kids and alot of the sweatshirts are in size xxl or s only. At least in the hotel gift shops.

Before I left home I checked the weather and it was supposed to be in the mid to high 70s and is now 60-45 degrees. It felt like 35 on the Magic Carpets and I couldn't even think about going up on the Astra Orbiter. Brrrr.

I saw the temperatur today, Nov. 21. It was a high of 53. Yikes. I am going to move you to our regular Trip Report's board. I hope to see a live report, if not, let us know when you get home how everything went.

we will be there sunday..i guess i need to stop by target and buy some gloves for our trip!

We went once in March and it was 37 degrees one day! The worst thing was riding the parking lot tram.

Believe it or not, but we have wind chill advisories down here tonight! :hyper:

Issued at: 1:23 PM EST 11/21/06, expires at: 9:00 AM EST 11/22/06

Wind chill advisory in effect from 10 pm this evening to 9 am est Wednesday,
The NWS in melbourne has issued a wind chill advisory, in effect from 10 pm this evening to 9 am est Wednesday.
The combination of overnight temperatures dropping down to the lower 40s and upper 30s and 10 to 15 mph winds will produce wind chills in the middle 30s from around midnight to mid morning wednesday. Wind chill readings around 30 will be possible in southern areas around sunrise Wednesday morning.
A wind chill advisory means that very cold air and strong winds will combine to generate low wind chills. If you must venture outdoors, make sure you wear a hat and gloves.

I guess people in Florida are not used to that kind of weather. In Wisconsin, we would call it "balmy winds". We get wind chill factors when the temperature is zero and with the wind it feels like -20 below.

It reminds me of our trip in Dec 04. There were wind chill warnings out. It was very cold the first two days there. We arrived around noon, and still had on gloves.

Yeah I'm a southern girl and I am so cold. The tram was a chilling adventure. The tram guy, Israel, was hilarious. He had a spanish accent and kept announcing to remember where you parked because later it will be chilly and "ju" don't want to be out here looking for "jour" car in the chilly "wedder".

We started off today at MGM with a nice and uncrowded "Jo Jo Circus" breakfast at Hollywood and Vine. Hardly anyone there so you never had to stand in lines at the buffet. Nice break from the other crowded character breakfasts. We spent a few hours at MGM until we hopped over to Epcot.

Epcot was very busy despite the cold and our fast passes for Mission Space were about a 3 hr. return time. So in the meantime we ventured over to snack at Morocco, shop in Japan and almost bought this great blanket/poncho thing they are selling at the outpost. Only $31.95 for what looked like a very warm and long blanket poncho. Did buy some socks in Japan. The kind with the little toe separation. I couldn't find socks anywhere except white Mickey socks. Japan had great colors and patterns.

Tomorrow we may venture "out of the World" to get some warmer duds.

I can't seem to find anything I like at the gift shops and just keep wearing three shirts together.

By the way......team Orange on Mission Space rocks!

I heard a rumor that there were snow flurries in central Florida last night. Didn't stick though.

BTW - I love it when it gets cool here. The summers are looooong and unbearably HOT here.
