We're headed back! And this time...I'm NOT pregnant!-We leave TOMORROW!!

How cool! Good luck with the yoga training. I don't think I'm in good enough shape to keep up with that.

Day 4 sounds great! I hear so much about Starring Rolls, I need to get there. Maybe in 2012. Ugh, so far away! I get to book in 2 1/2 months! :woohoo:

Congrats on the Yoga instructing job.
It's great to make $ while staying in shape!
I should do that, maybe that would motivate me to get to the gym more!!!

Yoga! wow sounds hard but I'm sure will be worth it!

Love Day 4 plans, think me and DBF might be just like you and J, I need someone to snap me back to reality at imes so I agree a planner and a non planner can make a good match!

Good luck with the yoga-ing! You'll be nice and flexible when Disney rolls around

Your plans for DHS and no-plans for later sound great! Be sure to ride those rides as much as you can to make up for last time!

Yoga looks like a good way to make some extra $ for the summer. :thumbsup2

TSM was great....we rode it while most of the people were at Fantasmic, so we had about a 20 minute wait. Very awesome!

Can't wait to hear your report on the new Star Tours. It was not quite running 100% consistently when we were there so we didn't get on it.

Thanks!! Let's hope I'll get a job and bring in some good $$!

20 minutes for TSM! WOW!! One could only hope for that!

Wow, a yoga instructor. I am so impressed. That sounds like a cool way to make some money.

We were able to ride Star Tours last week and it is pretty cool. Much better than the old one.

We missed TSM though. I came down to getting a fast pass for TSM or ST or we figured since we haven't seen Star Tours yet we had to do that one. TSM had an hour wait each time we checked and other than one 30 minute wait we skipped anything over a 20 minute wait.

Still gotta go through the training program, wish me luck!

I hope you guys get to check out TSM next time! It really is fun (not worth an hour wait, IMO)!

Yay! Glad you are back! Good to hear everyone is healthy and well. I am laughing though about too many treats for Koda. We are having that same issue now with our two goldens, wizard and ace. We took them to the vet about a month ago and were told they need to go on a diet. The vet was not real nice about it so I just reminded her that everyone packs on a couple extra pounds over the winter. Good luck becoming a yoga instructor! Your DHS plans look great. Your trip will be here before you know it.

I know, our animal kiddies are so spoiled. :rotfl: J also took part of the blame since he was soooo busy during baseball season that the boys didn't get as many walks as they should.

Thanks!! I'm ready to start my training, but I'm really ready for Disney!!

Thanks!! Ha, I'm sure you are! I'm not that great, but it's amazing how much better you feel after doing it for a few weeks!

I cannot wait for Starring Rolls!! The only dilemma we have now is to decide between the Butterfinger or the Red Velvet...

Your trip is going to be here before you know it! Then it'll be me wishing I had an upcoming trip on your TR!

Yoga! wow sounds hard but I'm sure will be worth it!

Love Day 4 plans, think me and DBF might be just like you and J, I need someone to snap me back to reality at imes so I agree a planner and a non planner can make a good match!

Thanks! And of course I envy you and your talent/skills/stamina as an Irish Dancer!

Gotta love it when you balance each other out! I swear, if it wasn't for J I would be soooo stressed out all the time! :furious:

Good luck with the yoga-ing! You'll be nice and flexible when Disney rolls around

Your plans for DHS and no-plans for later sound great! Be sure to ride those rides as much as you can to make up for last time!

Thank you! Nice and flexible would be good, but I'm hoping this will be a good detox (and diet fix) so I can justify all the binge eating I'm planning for at Disney! :lmao:

I am all over the big-kid rides (and beverages this trip), you have NO idea (or maybe you do since that's all I talk about, ha!!)

Just wanted to update since it’s been a little while. Do we really have less than 2 months left until our Disney trip?! Why yes, I think we do!!
Life gets sooooo busy sometimes, especially with a little one! Plus J has been beyond busy with his grad work. These intense summer programs are so challenging, they have big assignments due (along with tons of reading) for every class! Of course, I’m not one to talk since my yoga training starts one week from today. I sure hope I’m ready for this… Long days at school away from my family is going to be really tough. :guilty: 14 hours a day, 5 days a week for 4-8 weeks, ugh… But I know Emma is going to LOVE that time with her “Da!”, as she says. For any of you moms (or dads, too), did your kiddos go through a phase where one parent was “everything” and the other one was a “take it or leave it” kind? Emma is head-over-heels crazy about her daddy! Which is great, it just stinks when he needs to work and needs me to take her and it sounds as if someone is stealing her favorite toy! :sad1: Does she cry like that when I have to leave? Nooooooooo! Oh well, maybe one good side to me being gone during my training is that she’ll start to miss me… Ugh, I hope I’m ready for this training… It’s going to be tough, just hope I can survive…

Anyway, on to a few more things. This past week J and I had a couple of momentous dates. June 7 was our 3rd anniversary. To celebrate, we went to Outback Steakhouse (my choice, haven’t been there in so long and was dying for some steak and lobster). It was wonderful!
Tomorrow is J’s birthday so I coordinated a surprise outing for he and some of his buddies at a golf course. Totally surprised (and pleased) him! We also grilled a couple of steaks last night and had mashed potatoes and salad (typical guy meal, eh?).
birthdaydinner.jpg

Then of course we have Father’s Day coming up and we’re having some family and friends over this week/weekend. Needless to say, there are always tons of cleaning and organizing chores to do before we have guests (gotta have the house looking nice!).

Today my mom was watching my nephew and thought it would be fun to take all of us to the Dallas World Aquarium. This place (although ridiculously expensive <getting me ready for Disney>) was really cool. Tons of cool animals to check out along with a rainforest exhibit and an outdoor penguin area (which smells about as good as you could imagine). Here is a shot of my nephew with Emma, who will never sit still long enough to take a picture.
TreyEmma-1.jpg

And here is a shot of Emma with her Mimi (my mom)!
MimiEmma-1.jpg

They also had a tunnel area where there are sharks overhead. It’s amazing how people stopped in the middle of the walkway to look then stare daggers at you for wanting to walk by. “So sorry, didn’t mean to be in your way.” Anyway, I was pretty proud of this shot!
shark-1.jpg

This was Emma’s first outing to a place like that and she did pretty good. I know she is definitely not ready for a Disney trip! She was ready to get out of her stroller fairly quickly and did not want to hold anyone’s hand! All in all, we had a good and exhausting day!

Now on to Disney stuff! First of all, did everyone see the prices of park tickets went up?! I just happened to get on the DIS this past Saturday (as I usually do, ya know, just to check in and stuff) and noticed someone mentioned the price increase. Now I know some folks may think it’s only $8 or $10 a ticket, what’s the big deal? Uh, $8 or $10 when you have two people equals $20, and $20 equals several adult beverages, hello?! I hope everyone knew about this and were able to plan accordingly. I immediately let J know about it we decided to go ahead and purchase (via our credit card) our tickets. So we have officially ordered our 5-day Park Hopper passes!!! :woohoo:

Several of my posts have included pictures of new clothes I've purchased for myself for the trip but nothing for J (poor, poor hubby). To be honest, every time I looked there was nothing for guys!! I had to stop looking in my department so I wouldn’t buy a shirt every time I went! Last week I went to Target and guess what? They had character shirts for guys! :yay: So J officially has 2 new shirts to wear to Disney!
First is one I discovered thanks to Joyce!

donaldshirt-1.jpg

Remember Donald is one of J’s favorite characters so this should be perfect!
Second is one I picked from the rest (my limit was 2 since I know J isn’t as gung-ho about theme-dressing as I am). One of the best puppets in the whole world!!

animalshirt-1.jpg

ANIMAL!!!
This shirt cracks me up and J LOVES it!! I'm thinking it'll be good for our DHS day incase we make it over to the Muppets show!

I think we might be set on clothing for the trip. I say that now but ya never know…..

So I was perusing our plans for Disney and looking at our restaurant choices (thinking about what I’m going to eat at each one was more like it) then made an alarming discovery. Our Kona breakfast is going to be super cheap (in comparison to other meals we’ll have while on the Dining Plan). Now I am NOT going to give up trying this place, but I was seriously concerned about us getting our money’s worth at this TS restaurant. What to do? What to do?
I know! Pay OOP here and pick another (more expensive) restaurant to go to!!! But where? And when?!?! I had to study our plans very carefully and try to figure out which day. Then I had the “dreaded” task of studying allears.net to decide which restaurant we should dine at (for the right price). Where did I make our final dining reservations?

We'll finish up out DHS day with a late dinner at

disney-world-dining-plan-teppan-edo.jpg

Teppan Edo at !!!!
Another restaurant outta the blue! J and I looked over our options and decided this might be a fun place. Granted, it seems to be the same set up as Benihanna's (which happens to be one of J's FAVORITE places), but hopefully it'll be a little different since it is at Disney. We have really late dinner reservations (almost 9 o'clock late!!), but Epcot is opened late that evening. So we can have a nice relaxing dinner then walk around WS again. I know I originally said we would have that evening free to do what we felt like. But let's be honest, J and I LOVE Epcot and that's probably where we would've ended up! :lmao:

I hope everyone is having a great summer! It's pretty darn hot down here, but to look on the bright side I figure it's getting us ready for Florida heat. Enjoy yourselves and try to stay cool!!

I love that Donald shirt! I have to get that for Kris so he can wear it on the cruise next year!

You'll have to let me know how Teppan Edo is. I was thinking of that for our next trip but we've done the Japanese steakhouse thing, there's plenty of them around here. So you'll have to fill me in on Disney's version.

Ewwww outdoor penguin area. I love penguins but they are filthy little things!

Thanks!! Go check out Target, they had some really cute/fun shirts for guys!

I was a little hesitant about going to TE, but J sounded really excited so I agreed (I mean, it is his vacation too :lmao:). I'm actually looking forward to eating in Japan. Such a pretty pavilion. :cloud9:

Penguins, cute to look at, not to smell! :thumbsup2

I looked at target.com but they didn't have anything. I guess I'll have to go to my local store and check it out!

I'm comtemplating TE and Chefs de France. I don't know if Kris will find something he likes at Chefs though. I've only ever seen him eat chicken parm, chicken fingers, steak, and burgers. But I want to try new places and I've heard good things about Chefs!

When I went on the Sea World fam last fall, they took us back stage to meet a penguin. We got to pet it but you had to walk up behind it & not touch it's head or it would've freaked out. Nervous animals!

Good luck with your yoga training. It sounds like it will be a tough couple of weeks.

Caitlin had phases were one parent was her favorite. Up until she was about 2 and a half she was all mine. Once I went back to school and working pretty much full time she started to spend more time with DH and he took her over:laughing: I am happy that they have a great relationship but I hate it when she always picks Daddy to go on rides with. Although DH is working 12 hour days all summer, so I am hoping we will get to spend some more time together to change that.

I hate when Disney raises their prices. Do they really need to raise them every year?

Cute shirts:thumbsup2

How nice of you to let DH have his meal at TE. I am happy DH has no clue about TS places in WDW so he never has any requests.

If Kris is a meat kind of guy and not too adventurous, you might be better off with TE over Chefs. But I've heard they've "Americanized" the food at Chefs so it's not too "Frenchy." I'll be sure to let you know what we think (and you could always do like we're doing and visit both!).

Penguins are sooooo cute (as are most of the sea creatures I see like manatees and dolphins!), but they are usually stinky and have stinky food lying around. I would love to visit and pet some up close, but might need nose plugs! :lmao:

Thanks so much! I'm really excited about it starting but nervous too! The great thing that keeps me motivated to do it is my reward when I finish...Disney!!!

I know about the prices! So frustrating! :headache: The prices are going to be so outrageous in a couple of years!!

It'll be nice to eat in Japan!! Especially in the evening! And J was so out of the loop on our last trip I got to pick everything. Of course this time he voiced his opinion and requests. So be careful! Your DH might want some say-so next time!! ;):lmao:

Happy early 4th of July!! I won’t be around the computer at all tomorrow since I’ll be in training (yes, they’re still having school on Independence Day). I can’t believe I haven’t updated in almost two weeks. :guilty: Life has been beyond busy (I seem to say that a lot, but it really is a legitimate excuse this time). Here’s a typical day for me:

Get up at 4:45ish, take a shower, eat a small breakfast, gather my things, and out the door by 5:45am. Yoga 6:30 to 8, shower and breakfast 8-9. Classes 9-11 (usually philosophy, nutrition, etc).Another yoga class 11-12, shower and lunch 12-1.More classes 1-3 (yoga script, practical anatomy, etc). Another yoga class 3-4:30, shower and snack 4:30-5. And yet more classes with a few small breaks from 5-8. Clean then rush home to hang out with Emma before her bed time. Quick dinner, hang out with Johnny, go to bed to rest up for a repeat the next day. Whew!

Needless to say, it’s been an exhausting these past two weeks. This is supposed to go on for a total of 8 weeks, but that final week we’ll be in Disney. If I want to earn the hours and the full (500-hour) certification, I have to make up time lost from the last week on the weekends. So this weekend I snuck in a couple of yoga classes at our local studio to get some credit. Next weekend I’ll probably go up to school (they have weekend courses, too, but that program takes 7 or 8 months to graduate) to get more hours. With all the yogi stuff going on, Disney has been in my thoughts and in our brief discussions, but it’s hard to sit down and seriously plan. Good thing most of the planning is already done. And this past week guess what I came home to?!
DME-1.jpg

This is when you know you’re trip is seriously around the corner!! I am beyond excited that are room is paid for, our tickets arrived, our DME passes are here, and the only thing we have left to pay for before we leave is our meal plan! It’s almost time for me to start packing! Seriously!! I’m trying to get into Disney-mode as much as I can given my hectic schedule. Last weekend J and I finally watched Tangled (well, I did, he actually fell asleep!). I LOVED it!! It was such a great movie, I can’t wait to watch it again. I would love to see Cars 2 before we leave, but we’ll see how the weekends go.

So on to our last full day at Disney (sooooo depressing to think about :sad1:). We may attempt an early morning breakfast at Roaring Forks. Gotta take advantage of the yummy food there! Then it’s off to Epcot for the entire day!! :yay::yay:

My first goal, Test Track! We both missed this one last time (me due to my, uh, ah-hem, condition, J because he didn’t know how to stop drinking the free sodas <too much Beverly, yuck!> and had an upset stomach the rest of the day), so this is our #1 thing to do at Future World! I also really hope to explore Innoventions a little more this trip. The “Sum of All Thrills” sounds like fun! There’s just so much to do in Future World and I feel like we missed out on it. Hopefully we’ll get to check out a few more things. J really liked Spaceship Earth so we’ll try to hit that one up to. Soarin’ was fun, but not worth the chase to get there. So we’ll probably head that way sometime and get a FP. But if we miss out, we won’t be too heartbroken. And Mission:Space was a no-no for me. I rode the tame side last time (yes, I was pregnant, but the rumors proved true that it wasn’t too bad) and I do not handle those types of rides very well. My stomach ached for a while and my head was killing me! If J wants to ride it he can go right ahead! We both really loved “the Seas with Nemo and Friends”, so that will probably be done in the morning some time. We’ll get as much done as we can in Future World as we can before 11 then it’ll be time to head to my favorite place:
World Showcase! :lovestruc

I really hope to slow down and soak everything in, maybe even see a few shows. One of my mail goals is to check out the Germany store, Karamell-Küche along with the Kringla Bakeri in Norway. I’ve heard too many great reviews of these places that it sounds like a cardinal sin to miss out on the goodies! We’ll probably grab a few snacks from around the world along with a few beverages (Grey Goose Slushie, anyone?) before we head to dinner at 5pm at Chefs de France!! :dance3: I moved our dinner time up so we may have a small chance to see Remy! So excited!! Even if we don’t get to interact with him, I would still love to see him!

The rest of the evening we’re free to do what we want. I hope we have the energy to stay in Epcot for a while, but we’ll see where the day takes us (and where our energy level is at). And although we’ll have to leave the next day, we’ll still have one more early morning and most of the day at one of the best places on earth!!

Your yoga classes sound like a lot of work...not something I would associate with yoga:scared1: Nothing like a hectic summer, eh?

Your epcot day sounds fun. We still missed a lot at Epcot, esp in Future World.I think that its because we always end up heading back to world showcase. I need to stick to my plan of one day in future world, one day in the showcase. good luck!

Yeah, these classes are really exhausting. The days go by pretty quick, which is great! Just hope I can hang in for five more weeks!

One of these days I hope we can plan a trip for 2 full days at Epcot. We're the same way in that we're usually in WS. We'll start out in FW but then I get antsy and want to see what's happening across the pond! :lmao: I just love it over there!

Thanks for reading!

 for Mickey Mail!

Tangled is such a cute movie:thumbsup2 Cars 2 is definitely going to be a rental for us, although I kind of want to see it to see the new Toy Story short in the beginning.

I had no idea it took so much to be a yoga instructor. Your day sounds exhausting:eek:

I know!! It's so exciting! I can't wait til it's time to start packing! Which will probably be in a week or two. :rolleyes1

I plan to watch Tangled again, and I told J he had to watch it and not fall asleep! The main reason I wanted to see Cars 2 before our trip is to be in on all the festivities. Last time we went Up had been released and we hadn't seen it, so I felt kind of out of the loop. But if we don't it won't be the end of the world.

Yeah, this training is brutal. But I'm so glad I'll be (mostly) done before Disney. Then I can come home and hopefully start making money for another Disney trip!! :lmao:

Thanks for reading!!

Wow. That is one crazy schedule. Kudos to you girl!

Yay for Mickey Mail! :woohoo:

I have Tangled on my netflix queue. I've heard nothing but good things. I saw Cars 2 last weekend. I actually liked it better than the first! It was so cute :)

Let me know how Chef's de France is. I expect a full report post on my PTR (when I start one!) :rotfl:

We actually watched Tangled again this past weekend and I made J stay up! :lmao: It's so darn cute! And J really liked it!

I can't wait to try Chefs! Is it bad that I'm already picking out what foods J and I should order? :rolleyes1

Thanks so much to everyone who is still reading! I totally meant to post this past weekend about our last and final day at Disney :sad2: but my one day off on Saturday was spent with some friends from out of town then I was at school all day Sunday (gotta make up those hours I'll miss while at Disney!). And I'm actually posting from a school computer right now. :rolleyes2

Anyway, I PROMISE to post this weekend! I'll actually have some time off :woohoo: And I told J to get our luggage down so we can start pre-packing!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!
